Waffle Fever!

SNIFF! SMELL! SMILE!

Eugene’s Awesome-Sense was tingling. But he wasn’t smelling danger. He wasn’t even sensing it. This was not a job for Captain Awesome.

It was waffles! Melted butter! The power of maple syrup!

"This is a job for me! Eugene yelled. Here comes the one and only Breakfast Devourer!"

Eugene threw back his Super Dude blanket and leaped from his bed. He changed out of his Super Dude pajamas and slipped into his Super Dude sneakers. He shot out of his bedroom like a missile from Missile Master’s missile blaster in Super Dude No. 229.

Who is Super Dude, you ask? Super Dude is the greatest superhero ever! He’s the star of Super Dude comic books, TV shows, movies, and supercool clothes, too. Most importantly, he’s Eugene’s inspiration. With his best friends, Sally and Charlie, they formed the epic Sunnyview Superhero Squad.

Hi, Mom! Eugene said as he slid into his seat at the kitchen table. Waffle me!

Waffles up! Eugene’s mom beamed. She set down a plate on the table with two round waffles.

Eugene took in a big whiff of waffle air. He stuffed a double-size bite into his mouth. They taste even better than they smell.
