Oliver Oddsocks The Phantom Train - Ken Lehnig
Chapter 1
Beyond the Pond
image-placeholderWith his lunchbox packed, he slung his backpack over his shoulder. Today, he would hike further into the woods than ever before.
Summer vacation was almost over. Oliver rose early this morning, as he does every morning. More so when it was a day he was off for an adventure, and not wanting to wake his mother. Knowing today was an adventure day, Oliver picked up his backpack. He had packed it last night with wire, rope, a flashlight, matches, a blanket, water, the multi-purpose knife his grandma sent him, and his rain poncho. Today he was going to hike further into the woods than ever before.
It was early, so his
