Rosita: Little Rose

About this ebook
When people read my poetry, a popular question they have is, "Who is Rosita?" Rosita is a moniker I made for the person who inspired me to originally start writing poetry. In Spanish, rosita means little rose. Today, Rosita has become much more than an individual. If I were to give a name to my poetry as a whole or entirety, then I've named her Rosita. This poetry book focuses on various subjects such as love, creativity, equality, heartbreak, grief, and depression. I've had my fair share of experiences with each one of these subjects, and I hope these pages convey the knowledge and wisdom to readers that I have learned. So who is Rosita, you ask? Rosita is my muse, my dreams, my everything.
And I hope she can be an inspiration to you as well.

The Sun and the Moon
The sun and the moon were once best friends. When the sun would get together with the rest of the stars, it would invite the moon to attend.
Before the earth was formed, and before the sun and the moon apart from each other were tragically torn.
The sun and the moon were always together. They often said that they would be together forever.
Then one day the sun and the moon got into an argument over who shined brighter. The argument grew so intense that they said that they didn't want to see each other any longer.
Before the moon left, the moon yelled to the sun, I will shine brighter than you!
The sun grew awfully sad for it knew once they were apart, the moonlight would cease to continue.
Time went by, and the moon slowly and painfully realized it could no longer shine.
From a distance, stars passed by. They saw the moon was cold, and it would often cry.
The moon told the stars to tell the sun it was sorry, so the stars did, and the sun said, I can't bear the thought of the moon being lonely.
So the sun told the stars to tell the moon to come back to the formless earth. The stars did so, and when the moon saw the sun, it said, I know I said some mean things, but I'm sorry for what it's worth.
The sun said, "I don't think we can continue to be together like we used to, but every day I want to continue to see you.
So take your place on the opposite side of the world, and you will always shine with me as bright as a pearl."
So the moon did as it was told, and every day since, the moon danced as it revolved around the sun and never again grew cold.
