For You By Me - Regina Castro
You probably will
And if you end up loving her, which you probably will anyway because it’s impossible not to, know that you’re the luckiest person ever to live. To have the opportunity and watch her wake up, messy hair spread all over the pillow and witness her smile which she makes sure to put on every single morning, despite it all. To watch her drink her coffee at 8:00am in one of your shirts and watch her cringe when it doesn’t have enough sugar in it. To watch her dance gleefully around the kitchen table because a single day without dancing is one wasted day.
To hear her sing in the shower to notes she can’t possibly reach but tries anyway. To have her tell you she is the strongest person because she started working out, and then having to open the door or jars for her while she secretly dares you to comment on it. To have her all over you when she needs a hug or any other form of affection. If you end up loving her, cherish her, because you will surely never get over her.

Craved You Since Day One
And right then and there was the moment I realized I was falling in love with you. That moment when your lips were dry from all the booze and mine were thirsty for love. That moment when our lips collided and for a minute there, the whole world stopped. And the moon watched how our bodies met, how our hearts ignited; and it shone its light on us, like a spotlight. For the stars to see us too, for the world to see us too. That moment I couldn't let you go, because my lips kept asking for more. They craved your touch. And I've never been good at resisting temptation. So now that I have tasted heaven on your lips, I think I might be addicted.

Your voice; that divine sound of waves crashing against the shore; of the wind making the trees sway to a certain rhythm; like the song you have tried so hard to get out of your head. The sound of heaven's lullaby on earth.

Thank You For Bringing Me Back To Life
Before I met you, for a while now,
there had been a raging fire inside of me.
Not in a good way though;
Not the kind of fire that drives people with passion,
And makes you fall in love.
It was a different fire;
It covered my entire heart,
and my soul too.
It tried to burn me down to ashes,
burned my insides to the ground.
But
Then you came around.
And from that first look, I felt different.
The fire was still there,
But it was- I don’t know-
It was calm.
Like it stopped growing.
And then you took your hand,
And you put it softly in my chest.
And you grabbed my burning heart,
And touched my raging soul.
And every inch you stroked turned calm, peaceful.
Sometimes you burned your hands a little.
But that didn’t make you stop.
You swallowed it - the pain -
And you kept on going.
Carefully
Softly
Patiently.
Putting the fire out
Letting my soul rest.
Putting the burned down pieces back together.
Letting the light in,
Letting the life in.

God, I’ll want to be her
God, I’ll be so jealous when the time comes and you find someone. I’ll want to be her arms when they embrace you and her lips kissing you anytime she feels like it. I’ll want to be her hands, able to touch every cell in your body and run her fingers through your hair. I’ll want to be her ears listening to all of your stories and her smile when she listens to yours. God, I’ll be so jealous of each and every one of her body parts.

My heart is heavy with the thought of you and my lips are thirsty for the taste of you.

Blue skies with tints of red
Brown eyes with golden flecks.
You revived me, I´m alive again
Don't leave, you keep me sane.

Love You To Pieces
And I know
I'm a mess
I know
I cry too much.
And I snap
And I lose my mind
And sometimes,
I even lose myself
in the darkest corners
of it.
I know that sometimes,
I drag you into my dark hole.
And I even refuse
to take your hand,
when you try to help me out.
I know that you worry.
And it terrifies you
And breaks your insides
to see me like that.
I know you feel hopeless
and frustrated
And like there's nothing
you can do.
I know
it hurts,
it burns,
it chokes you
to see me like that.
And if you cannot take it
I understand.
But please know
That I love you,
I love you
With every
little
broken
piece
of myself.
Which is more,
Than I will ever do
for me.

I relate to the ocean, and you the shore
I am utterly amazed as to how the ocean's waves never seem too tired to spread themselves along the shore. I am in awe as to why they continue banging on its heart when it's dark and there's no one around to watch; no need to prove anything. And their sound can be heard from miles and miles away, as it begs the sand to take it once and for all under the blue night sky.
I guess that´s how devoted it is, I guess that´s how much the ocean loves the shore. To have enough patience to create a million more waves or whatever number is needed, only to be rejected again.
And that, my love, is how I love you so.

Naked
and as time goes by,
we just lay there.
as innocent
as simple
as that.
with our bodies
lying side by side,
on top of
crumpled,
beige sheets
that resemble the tiny flecks
in your deep brown eyes.
the same sheets
that were tucked in
so delicately
just minutes ago.
before we tore them apart
with our love.
before we realized
we wanted
each other
closer.
so we fused our bodies
into one.
but now,
we just lay there.
with our bare skin
brushing
against each other.
and no words are necessary
for we said it all
with a language
only our bodies
understand.
so now the air
is filled with love.
and we lay there,
listening
to each other's
heartbeat:
each other's
breathing,
as the love
fills our lungs
and feeds our hearts.

From Me To You
No, this isn't dedicated to you.
No, I don't love you anymore and it's not a cry for help.
Each piece has a mind of its own.
Each sentence in these papers have grown on their own.
Each work is faithful to the person it is for,
Not just for you, but for the whole world to know.
Plus, all excerpts were written in different time zones.
As if while writing, the ground shifted and I found myself on the other side of the globe.
And yes, maybe there are more for ones than for
