Mari Eygabroad

Mari Eygabroad and her family live in Lesotho, Southern Africa. A former massage therapist, personal trainer, and physical therapist assistant, Mari planned to use these skills while serving as a missionary wife in Africa with her pilot/mechanic husband. God had a different calling. After feeling unequipped to handle many hardships her family faced in their first years overseas, she wrote Living Uprooted to better prepare other women stepping into missions. Having served ten years with Mission Aviation Fellowship, Mari and her husband use Living Uprooted and this companion workbook to help prepare new missionary women for service overseas.

    Theme: Submission

After about six years of serving overseas, my husband and I sensed God moving to change our missionary service. But nothing pushed us out of the job my husband was doing or the country we served. We loved what we were doing and the people we were serving. So, we reached out to a mentor, who introduced us to the discernment process—inviting people to pray on our behalf regarding God’s direction.
