Chapter 1 : The History of great empire

(This event sets place in a room where the grandmother is telling the story of the Great Emperor and his council to her Granddaughter Roselle)

Long ago (1997 CE) there lived an Emperor, who ruled over all the kingdoms that were present on the whole planet or so is said in the folk tales. In the folk tales of 'The silent Ruler', yes as the name suggests the emperor had never spoken a word when he was sitting on his throne and let his council of kings ' The council: Curia Regis ' handle all of the matters related to the kingdoms.

However, the emperor was respected and feared by all the council and the kingdoms, even though he never spoke a word everyone was aware of your Majesty's brilliance and power, the Aura emitted by your majesty was enough to make anyone tremble in Fear. Yet, the emperor was known for his kindness, the emperor never spoke a word in the meetings of the council but had always approved the ideas or plans that would benefit the common folks and the poor people. The Era of 1997 CE - 2000 CE was said to be the most peaceful one.

What happened after 2000 CE you ask? The Emperor was young and was immortal so the legends say, so what happened to Your Majesty? In the Year 2001 CE, The Emperor disappeared without saying any words like he never existed. He or his body was not found and the Great Emperor was declared missing, despite the absence of The Emperor the council made no wrongdoings and kept on working hard toward the peaceful and prosperous way of handling the kingdoms as taught by the emperor himself. The Curia Regis or the council of the kings and royals was made up of total 7 members with all of them being chosen by the Emperor himself, not all of them had any royal blood or any history in royalty but they were truly loyal to the Emperor so much so that they kept on working the right way even after the disappearance of The Great Emperor: Silent Ruler.

The Empire was still prosperous and peaceful as always until one day, after a few months of the disappearance of The Emperor, a dark violet sphere appeared, the Horizon was all covered by it, and the dark violet sphere covered the entire planet and the whole world was left without a single living being alive on it, the whole planet was left flat like nothing ever existed.....

( OH you already went to sleep, have a nice sleep, Roselle)

(This event takes place after a few months, the grandmother and her granddaughter are going back to their house when suddenly roselle hears the sound of someone crying loudly coming from a narrow passage, roselle starts to run towards the sound ) where are you going, roselle, roselle...., what is this? someone left this poor boy here in the dark, dirty passage, are you alright? He is all wet from the rain, come on Roselle help me calm him down.

(Roselle takes out her handkerchief and wipes his tears and smiles at him.)

( A few years passed after they took in that boy )

Ah, I still remember that day, the day when I was saved by Roselle and her grandmother, if not for them I would have probably died from starvation and all. Oh yeah, where are my manners, I am Riku, yeah just Riku, right now I am 17 years old and my height is about 175 cm tall, pretty average height I know. My step-grandmother gave me the Name Riku as I don't remember my real name nor my parents or where I came from... . But thanks to them I have a place to call home. Roselle lost her parents when she was just 2 years old, they died in an accident. since then her grandmother has been taking care of her. And from the time when they took me in I have been helping them out to run this bakery, Roselle's parents really loved running this bakery and I can see that.. they have adapted this western style quite well. Even though I am of the age when I should be going to Highschool and all yet I take care of this bakery and I am not complaining, this is really the best thing i can ever ask for, just like my height my wits are average as well, so i am not that good at studies but on the other hand, I really like baking cakes, bread, and stuff, it gives me a feeling of satisfaction.

( Roselle comes down from her room ) ah Roselle, good morning, I can see that you are all ready to go to Highschool.

( she blushes and replies : ) OH yeah, good morning, yeah I am all ready to go but I really wished that I could also give you a hand in baking...

Don't worry I can handle it, leave it to me and give your best out there, okay?

ok

( she leaves for the Highschool )

Now, let's get to work, but first things first, cleaning and wiping all the stuff clean is crucial, and I also gotta make all of the raw stuff needed to be ready for baking, now to bake them and turn the sign to Open...

Oh, grandmother, you are here, don't worry leave the bakery to me as always and you can rest a little you might be tired from making the lunch for Roselle.

Thank you, Riku, but I really want to help out.

No, no, I am really fine by myself, don't worry and just get some rest okay?

You are such a good boy.

* The bell rings as the door of the bakery opens * welcome to CafeBaker, oh it's you, Kosuke. what are you looking for today? The bean jam cake?

Kosuke is our regular and he goes to the same Highschool as Roselle, he is a bit taller than me which sometimes irritates me a little but anyway.

I knew that you will take the bean jam cake as always.

Hey Riku, I actually have a piece of bad news for you.

whaat? what are you talking about?

It's about Roselle, the day before yesterday when we were coming back from the Highschool we saw our mayor giving a speech.

Oh, you mean the Guy who is our mayor despite the fact that he is of the same age as us?

The Guy who is our mayor is a really handsome guy who is the same age as us but has a lot of fame and is really a rich person however he never shows his full face and always wears a black mask yet still never fails to look cool, all the girls are always around him whenever he shows up in any event or celebrations.

Yup, you are absolutely right. Apparently, when we were heading here towards the bakery, we happen to see him giving a speech near the main city Hall, Roselle was quite interested in listening to his speech and I could actually see her admiring him.

so why are you telling me this?

Ah, common, you cannot hide it from me, I know that you like Roselle, I mean she is such a beauty with blonde hair and such a pretty face and eyes.
