Alden Globe
Alden Globe grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Victoria College at the University of Toronto, a degree in Law from the University of New Hampshire, and attended executive education at Harvard Business School. His career focuses on speeding access to critical knowledge that improves performance of frontline staff from pilots and customer service agents to IT professionals. Globe has been recognized for technical innovation by IABC, Multimedia Magazine, MISQ, Computerworld, Smithsonian, US West, J.D. Edwards, Microsoft, Jeppesen a Boeing Co., and BMC Software. He lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Many travelers may pack too much, use little of what they brought, and often don’t have what they need. Hopefully, these few chapters will help you minimize those situations. You don’t have to bring everything with you; normally its easy enough to obtain a needed item along the way.
Take a look at the Bibliography, it’s full of classic titles on travel, leadership, survival, mental attitude, adventure and historical journeys. This information can help keep your business trip in perspective, especially when things go off the rails.
Below you’ll find links to useful online collections of City Guides that provide a brief orientation to a new destination. This will help you make the most of your quick visit.
Once on the road, try and settle into every destination as if you live there. Eat local food, step out of your comfort zone. Try local wine, beer and spirits. Explore the underside. Talk to people you meet. Sit and enjoy a sunset with your business traveling companions.
