IT may be a no-brainer but you’ve probably all gone on a multi-day bushwalk thinking you’ve got everything you need to make your walk safe and comfortable but then forgotten something. So in the interest of enjoyable times in the great outdoors here are the essentials for any overnight bushwalking or camping trip.

Backpack

Once again, a no-brainer, but what’s important is getting the right pack for you. So when considering how to choose a backpack, ask yourself the following questions: Where are you going? When are you going? What will the weather be like? How long are you going for? How much will you be carrying? What equipment will you be carrying, and what terrain will you be covering? Once you’ve answered these you’ll have a better understanding of the type of pack you need.
