Introduction
Hello everyone! I’m Carl Pullein, and this is Collect, Organize, Do: The Beginners Guide to Productivity Systems,
a course from Scribd. Thank you for joining me. Let’s get to work.
In the highly digital, information-dense world that we live in, our attention is a highly sought after commodity — and not just by media companies or big corporations. Even in our professional and personal lives, we are constantly pulled in seemingly every direction; things are thrown at us from every angle. We get dozens of emails every day, instant messages from bosses, clients, and friends asking for help, etc.; and, through it all, we must find the time to connect with our family and pursue personally satisfying goals and experiences.
When it comes to organizing our lives, we aren’t just on the clock nine to five, Monday to Friday. We’re working 24/7. This can take quite a toll on how we show up in our work.

We need to be able to protect our focus and put it towards whatever our priority is in a given moment; everything else must take a backseat until we can attend to it without disrupting our daily activities. We need to have a plan for how we can get the most out of our time.
The purpose of this course is to
