Spirit Girl's early years were colored with the very normal struggle of working to fit into the human realm, a familiar stance to most thinking earth dwellers. She began to awaken to the path of emerging light, and a growing awareness of otherworldly possibilities.

Eventually, this perception of the competing poles led to Spirit Girl embracing an existence in a secluded mountainous region.

She now resides in a magical cabin that cares for her needs and invites companions to impart valuable experiences! The wisdom offered crystalizes her path from chaos and the unknown to discovery and further prospects.

Her daily adventures toggle between interactions with beings from other worlds and the physical world in which she lives—one that involves friends, school, supper, and bedtime. Her fantastical, insightful revelations are balanced by such everyday activities.

Chapter 1

The Journey Begins

Oh, the mountains loom majestic this morning, Spirit Girl observed standing on the back deck. Every day starts this way when one is fortunate enough to live in the shadow of magnificence.

Gripping the railing to steady herself while taking in the upward scene, she watched clouds glide silently across the awakening canopy.

Life was good from this perch. Birds had it right, living high in the trees with protected nests open to the sky. No wonder they sang. She remembered the quote from author Joan Walsh Anglund, Birds don't sing because they have an answer, they sing because they have a song. What a good lesson! she thought.

Live not because you are leading someone else, but because you are invited to live by life itself.

The wooden deck was a gift, opening the mind each day no matter the weather, the changing seasons adding to the experience.

Earlier this morning, a beautiful Savannah cat jumped onto the bed. The sleeping dog never stirred. The magical animal, spotted and large, was able to leap with little effort, yellow eyes clear and open. The cat, like the mountains, will reveal its mysteries in time.

Everything seems to be in order, and an added friend from beyond the human realm was a welcome companion. She considers that paying attention to the present involves embracing the unknown, and requires being open to the treasures of the nonmaterial earth and other dimensions that touch it naturally.

Connection begins with the physical experience then is drawn by the opening of the mind toward interpretation—toward the intangible significance of the encounter.

While dreaming, she had seen the same cat circling the house in a protective way, pointed ears attentive to the environment and the body ready to defend against whatever dark energies may come near. There are always negative life forces to combat—forces whose goal is to undermine the Harmony and anyone who strives to reach it. Fortunately, vigilant positive entities are determined to keep Spirit Girl from any harm.

The trainings of the day will begin soon as the rising sun beckons.
