About this ebook
The birds are behaving in a strange manner. Two black crows, messengers from the Old Kingdom, arrive to tell Miss Jay and her team that an ancient curse is still active. In order to lift the curse and bring healing to the Earth and All Life, they must solve a riddle in just four days.
How is Miss Jay connected to this curse? What is the secret of the Dragon Tooth brooch worn by Cassandra, Pallas Athena, and Miss Jays ancestors? How can the friends bring healing across bloodlines?
In their search for these answers, Bindi, Biggles, Kooky, Vargo, Master Zen and Miss Jay embark on an exciting journey, starting from a small island near Tasmania, where all that is large appears small. From there, they travel to Greece to meet with the ancient gods and Th emis, the oracle of Delphi. In the magical canyons of Sedona, Arizona, they seek out a wise elder with the secrets of shape-shifting, dance, and the medicine wheel. Eventually, their search takes them to Africa. Along the Zambezi River, they meet Oshun, goddess of water, who summons truth from the water itself. Miss Jay learns why she left the Dragons, who Bindi really is, and why they have been brought together.
Can the friends work together on this next phase of ascension to bring through the new energy of the New Earth? Can they heal the bloodlines and balance the masculine and feminine energy?
Will they ever be free, happy, and at peace?

O ften during these tumultuous times of solar flares, transits and energy bursts, we are left reeling from the impact not knowing which way is up. Many times during the course of these energetic shifts, full moons, gateways and eclipses we can suddenly feel happy, light and content for no particular reason…which is often followed by ‘the crash’. Sometimes it feels as though we do not know anything anymore - there is nothing familiar, there seems to be no way ahead and no way back and we feel totally lost, alone, frightened and depleted of all e nergy.
I am so grateful to friends, family and strangers who have helped me along the way offering words of comfort or just sharing the ups and downs, as we stumble along together. I would like to thank my family: my birdy friends (The Lorries, Kookies, Curries, and Maggies), Graeme, Xiaomei, Dad, Florence, Puss, my aunts, uncles and cousins who have given their support over the years. Also a big hug to my dear friends: Smita Arya, Paul Warren, Janice Collings, Audrey Pattison, Joyce Bachtis and Mary DiPalma for their love, support and enthusiasm - especially during the writing of the Feather Bower series.
During these intense times of energy shifts - as well as seeking professional help if needed - it is possible to find comfort and reassurance via Internet posts, blogs and updates written by others who have been travelling along a similar path.
Sometimes it helps to know we are not alone and that others are feeling the same emotions even if their specific circumstances may differ. It is just a process and we will move through it, as we have done so many times before. Hang in there and take one day at a time. Trust and believe in yourself.
The following people may not even know just how comforting and reassuring their words have been but I would like to express deep gratitude for their wisdom, planetary updates and insights, even if simply to validate what we already know. Introduction
D o you ever feel there is more going on in your life than meets the eye? Or that you are not all here? Perhaps a sense that you have forgotten something important and yet there is a hint of it lurking in the shadows, a hazy shape lacking defined features and details. Or possibly something or someone else is running the show and you are just an observer or bystander in your own life? Are you waiting for something to happen, feeling stuck or in a holding pa ttern?
Welcome to Miss Jay’s world.
It has been a steep learning curve since Miss Jay left the busy corporate world to commence her search for peace, happiness and truth in "Feather Bower Spirit." Her heart wanted to take her away from all that was known and familiar - to venture into a new world and discover the unknowable.
After several years of meditation, spiritual courses and classes, wondering and pondering, Miss Jay then retreated even further from normal life and into solitude, serenity and Nature.
Before long she formed some very special friendships with Bindi the wise rainbow lorikeet; Kooky the Kookaburra who brings ancient wisdom from the Old Kingdom; and Master Zen - the Magpie with shamanic links to the Elders. The rabbits, echidnas and other animals and birds in Miss Jay’s neighbourhood also provided a loving and supportive environment, so that Jay could find the answers she had been seeking.
After visiting the Red Centre of Australia, followed by the Great Barrier Reef in far north Queensland, Miss Jay was guided by The Grand Mother Rainbow Serpent and Hira the great humpback whale. Other teachers were: Topaz the bluebird, Stanley the giant lizard, Troy the frilled neck lizard, Born and Sygnet the dolphins, and Kai the snake - to help balance the elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire.
As these elements were balanced within - along with Spirit and Ether - the world around Miss Jay began to reflect balance and harmony. Simpson the python helped Miss Jay to open her heart centre whilst Vargo, the great silvery-white dragon, helped our protagonist to remember her past and open her crown chakra to connect with the universe, greater consciousness, and all that is.
In "Feather Bower Love" the green, purple, red and blue dragon teams returned to Earth, lead by Kardias, Korona, Ruber and Azul. Miss Jay, together with Bindi, Kooky, Master Zen and Vargo, worked with the dragons - the ancient healers of the Earth. They travelled together across the Earth, to activate cosmic doorways, energy centres, ley lines and crystal grids.
The mission also entailed bringing through the Ancestors, Elders and Ascended Masters whilst aligning each compass point: East, North, West and South. The old energy vibration and frequency needed to align to the new grid - to create peace and harmony, and to reflect Heaven on Earth.
The group travelled from the Heart Chakra in the East at the Taj Mahal in India, and then to the Crown Chakra in the North at Mount Fuji in Japan. Then the troupe arrived at the Base Chakra located at the Western Compass point at the Grand Canyon; and finally to the Southern compass point at Milford Sound in New Zealand, and the Throat Chakra. At the same time, the group of friends underwent their own transformation and awakening.
Bindi revealed her hidden talent when she shape-shifted into the great rainbow dragon she was always meant to be. Kooky and Master Zen transformed into larger versions of themselves and then flew to the sun and moon; whilst Mother Earth also raised her vibration to complete her own Ascension.
The cosmic doorways had been opened and activated; the ley lines, pyramids and energy grids had been upgraded; many of the Ancestors and Elders and Ascended Masters had returned bringing through new light codes. Now it was time for the integration of the new energy.
It’s a funny thing, but once the doorway to the spiritual world has opened and we venture across the threshold, quite often we are in for a big surprise. At first we may feel excited, happy, uplifted, and notice signs of magic and enchantment, to hook us in. Then the road can often become quite rocky, and not all angels, happiness and fluffy clouds. Sometimes the path can become very steep with some very challenging bends. Is it a test of faith and belief and trust?
This new frequency needs to be balanced and integrated within all life before the Ascension and Awakening process can be complete. The clash between the old energy and the new, was bound to be difficult - it was always going to result in tremors, pressure, waves, friction and rumblings - but just how disruptive, exhausting and life threatening is it going to be?
Just when Miss Jay thought the work had been done and the healing, clearing, releasing and upgrading must surely be complete - she learns there is more to do. It seems endless … relentless. Her energy is being sapped and her resources feel depleted but she always knew it would be a journey of the soul and no timelines were ever given. However, sometimes she wonders - how much faith and trust are needed before we can complete this mission? Will it ever end?
She knew that before she could rebuild the new foundations, she must empty out the old. To live an authentic life Miss Jay must find the truth and know who she is – to accept all parts of herself, including the shadows, guilt, doubts and fears. She must heal the past so she can be truly free to create her own future.
A mystic is one who works upon the canvas of the self as an artist labours upon an oil painting - both endeavouring to reveal the masterpiece concealed within the work.
Sometimes it is when a crisis is looming that we are forced to take action. Events are set in motion to bring through greater clarity - or perhaps enable a fresh perspective through which we can view ourselves, and the world with a deeper appreciation. It is then we remove the dust cover, bring out the easel, gaze upon the familiar palette and well-worn paintbrush, dab the bristles in water - and return to work.
Part One
The Ancient Curse
A Dire Warning
T here are times when we can sense something is awry even before we open our morning eyes and blink away the blindfold of night. Even through the fog of sleep part of our awareness remains on guard and at the ready to raise the alarm and prote ct us.
This was one of those times.
Something was wrong. I could feel it. There was a strange stillness. My nerve endings were on alert like a sentry in a watchtower. Even the birds were behaving in an unusual and unsettled manner. The Biter family ambushed the railing and started to attack the kookaburra. Kooky looked around in shock - his broad white mouth agape - indignant at the assault on his personage. Nipper - one of the Biter family, and a rainbow lorikeet - held a fluffy, brown feather in his bright red beak. The feather had previously belonged to Kooky.
A flash of colour announced the arrival of Biggles and Bindi - two more rainbow lorikeets. Biggles was easily identifiable by the black circles around his eyes like flying goggles. Bindi’s distinguishing mark was a coloured dot dyed into her feathered forehead.
Master Zen, the unusual Magpie with yellow eyes, white-tipped tail feathers, and tipped wings, stood silently assessing the scene, balanced upon one thin black leathery leg. He coughed up a pellet and let it fall to the floor – small blackberries scattered like ball bearings.
The gothic black magpies with white shoulders stalked around the balcony, muttering, This is not good. This is not good at all.
We were all jittery, tense and anxious, not knowing why … until the message was delivered.
Two large and foreboding crows landed on the railing. One of the black birds glared through pale-blue eyes. The other bird glowered through black eyes – a match with his glossy black feathers.
AHHK, AHHHK, AAHHHHRRRRKKKK, they called in unison.
Hear ye, hear ye,
they announced in blended tones. We bring news from the Old Kingdom. You must take heed. There is trouble ahead. You have been warned. There is trouble ahead!
And then, with a loud and theatrical flurry of chaotic feathers - they flew away leaving a black smudge against the blue sky.
I had only just awakened from the dim and distant realm of the parallel universe where anything is possible and we are totally free. My ears were still ringing from the Biter family shouting and the growl from Kooky, amid the loud whistles from Biggles and Bindi. To hear that there was some kind of trouble brewing created a sense of stunned bewilderment - my mind was addled, and I was finding it all a bit difficult to comprehend.
What is going on?
I asked no one in particular. Why are you biting and shouting, and what is all this about us being in some kind of trouble?
I rubbed my morning eyes.
Bindi yawned, Hello, Miss Jay. Yes, we awoke early this morning and felt something was very wrong. We came here to see if you knew what to do.
Yes, I can feel it too.
I replied, starting to feel alarmed. I am not sure what it is … but something does not feel right at all. Where is Vargo?
Vargo would know what to do, as one of the ancients who had recently returned to the earth to bring healing. Along with all the other red, blue, purple, and green dragons, Vargo would surely know the cause of all the commotion. He was the powerful leader and revered lord of all dragons - the rare great silver and white dragon master - and my dear friend. Now, where could he be?
It was the way with us … to use telepathy. So in my mind I called out, Vargo, my old friend, we need your help!
My eyes scanned the distant profile of rocks and cliffs, crags, bluffs and caves, and then my search swept across the ocean until I saw his familiar form. He was swooping across the blue sky, creating a shadow to veil the face of the sun. The shadow was then running and tracking him along the earth, trying to keep up.
Vargo’s enormous wings flapped in a steady and rhythmical motion, whilst his tail swayed sideways like the rudder of a schooner. He skilfully glided in to land upon the front lawn.
We all raced over to meet him. Bindi, Kooky, and Zen flew directly. I walked across the grass to the door in the Wall. Mr and Mrs Hopper and the echidnas, had also heard the noise and they were wondering what was causing the disturbance.
We burst through the door in the Wall and raced over to meet Vargo, who was now surrounded by many of the residents from the grounds. The lorikeets, magpies and kookaburras were sitting on branches. The bandicoots with long pointy noses and big ears, (and very shy), were standing alongside the rabbits and the echidnas. Simpson, the giant python was draped along the Wall. Henry the water dragon was sunning himself on a rock. The two masked-faced plovers were stalking about on their long stilts. Everyone was looking anxious and agitated.
The two large black crows had returned. They flew down in a flap of glossy black feathers.
AHHK, AHHHKKK, AHHHRRRRKKKK, they cried.
One bird rolled out a very long parchment scroll for the other bird to read. This black crow now wore silver glasses. He took a deep breath and spoke in a loud voice that echoed through the grounds.
Hear Ye, Hear Ye. We have a message from the Old Kingdom and we have been asked to deliver it to all of you here today. This is a dire warning you must heed. The ancient curse is active. You have all been warned. The curse is active!
The crows looked as if they were about to take flight again, so I called out, Wait! Wait! What is this curse? What are we meant to do? You must think we can do something if you came here to warn us.
Despite their reputation, I had always liked crows and felt they were very closely connected to the Spirit underworld - that they fulfilled a role as messengers moving seamlessly between the realms.
The blackbird with the light-blue eyes replied, You have four days to find the answers to solve the ancient curse, otherwise much pain and suffering will be endured for many long lifetimes - across all life on this planet.
Wait!
I pleaded. Please, can you give us some kind of clue or point us in the right direction?
Again, the blue-eyed crow spoke,
When day becomes night, you must go to the place where all that is large appears small. Find the source of the lake in the middle of the ocean. There you will find the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end. From there follow the clues but you must hurry as time is running out.
The crow wearing the silver glasses added, There are four parts to this riddle. You will know you have found the right place when you find a crystal. As you learn the truth - a bell will toll. Once you solve all four parts of this curse - and the final bell has rung - the curse will be lifted. But hurry, you only have four days!
With that, both large, glossy, blue-black crows departed in a frenzied flurry of flapping wings, pointed beaks, long talons and black feathers.
All that remained were two large black tail feathers. I wondered if it were a talisman of some kind, so I picked them up and put them in my pocket. I always felt that feathers contained magical powers.
1TheCrows.jpegI looked searchingly at Vargo for some kind of reaction - a laugh or smile - to indicate it was a joke and not to be taken seriously. But he looked far from happy. He looked very worried and concerned.
Vargo, what does it mean? What is this all about?
My voice was slightly raised but not yet hysterical.
Vargo replied, I was afraid this might happen.
Bindi - the pretty rainbow lorikeet - flew onto my shoulder and asked, Is this because of all the activation work everyone has been doing across the planet?
Master Zen, the clever magpie replied, No, it is simply timing. The ancient curse was ready to go off.
He stood firm upon one leg, deep in thought with furrowed brow over yellow eyes. The wind lifted his tail feathers to reveal snowy white boxer shorts.
Kooky, with bushy knitted eyebrows added, I thought it had been revoked and was no longer active.
He looked at each of us through his bandit brown eyes, his creamy fluffy round chest puffed out.
Zen casually replied, No. I had heard it was still active.
He coughed up another pellet and let it drop to the ground, as if to punctuate his remark.
Vargo set his gaze directly toward me and said, There is something we have not told you.
I had been looking from one to the other and wondering what they were all talking about. What curse? What timing?
I asked.
Vargo looked into my eyes and questioned, Have you ever felt as if you were cursed? Have you ever wondered why life was not moving ahead as you had planned, or would have liked? As if you were being hindered, blocked, or limited and constrained in some way?
Well … yes,
I replied. I have … quite often in fact. I have felt as though I am stuck in thick tar, unable to move ahead. Standing on one spot as if this is not my life and I am a puppet, with someone else pulling all the strings. Why do you ask?
I questioned.
