#1
"In the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth."
Genesis 1:1 NIV
DEVOTION
The whole earth and everyone on it were made by God. He is the author and designer of all life. From the grass in the field to the eagle in the sky and ultimately to Adam and Eve. The Bible teaches us that God brought you into the world not by accident but with intentional design. Just like the designer of a house or car is the best to give details and instruction on how to operate that car, your heavenly Father is the best one to direct and guide our lives.
QUESTIONS
What’s your favorite animal that God made? What’s one place on earth you’d like to visit?
CONFESSION
Our God is the creator of the heavens and the earth and the designer of my life.
#2
"Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path."
Psalm 119:105 NIV
DEVOTION
When it’s dark out and you’re trying to walk somewhere, you need to get a flashlight to light up the path so you don’t go off track or trip over something along the way. The Bible is our flashlight. Because of sin, the world is dark and confusing and only the light of God’s Word can clarify, make sense and show the way through.
QUESTIONS
What’s your favorite story or book of the Bible? And why? Maybe; King David, Esther, Paul.
CONFESSION
The Bible is my guide along the path of life. If I follow God’s Word I won’t stumble in the dark.
#3
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
DEVOTION
Imagine trying to hold yourself up from falling by leaning on a small twig. That stick would break and you would fall. Now instead imagine keeping yourself held
