About this ebook

blooming

-

you are making a poem out of me

one that carefully crafts your love

in eloquent words

equally messy, ones that have been hurt

words shown mercy through the hard times

ones shown grace.

ones that take every syllable

and form them to your perfect face

the struggles, the highs

the falls and the flys

all of them written out —

all of them brought to life

    Acknowledgment

    To my Abba

    who gave me the

    heart to craft these words.

    To Mom and Dad,

    your support waters my flowers.

To those who have walked with me,

pushed me, and celebrated with me –

    thank you.

    To Begin

Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.

    William Wordsworth

Bloom is My young heart, open and exposed.

My deepest desire to come from this book is for you

to read these pages and know that you are seen.

    Every single moment –

every laugh, every tear, every smile, every heartbreak –

and all of what’s in between is written here.

    As you read, remember

with every single breath, you are flourishing into

who you are created to be.

    I hope Bloom inspires

you to grow towards love and light,

it’s where you’re meant to be.

    PART ONE

    SOW

    First Words

When you sneak up into my mind

    ambivalence follows close behind.

    Everything you are

    all we could be

you don’t even realize who you are to me.

    Decide

    You

    are

    worth

    more

    but

    you

    aren’t

    worth

    me.

    Memories

When it comes down to it,

    it’s only time.

    A laugh,

    a smile,

    a glance,

    a dance.

    A fall,

    a step,

    a hand,

    a chance.

    Now, it’s gone.

You’ll never read that for the first time again.

    It’s a memory.

We can always relive the memories,

but we can never live them again.

    Misconstrue

She doesn’t know what she has,

but you don’t know what you’re missing.

Even When You Don’t Feel It

    Even on your worst days
