About this ebook
Knock, knock! Who's there? Cancer! Dear Lord, hold me tight. Basically dropped out of the sky. I was so devastated when I found out that I had cancer. All I could do was knock at God's door and ask him to hold me tight, until I wasn't scared and he did far more.

Me and MomMy mom, my protector, the only person who hurts when I hurt. Words could never express how I feel about you. Thank you for loving me as I am. You taught me what unconditional love, self-respect, and individuality is, and I love you to pieces.
Me and MomMy sister, Sharon, thank you for sharing cancer with me. What I thought was going to be a nightmare was a blessing. You saw it with your own eyes—the transformation. We had fun eating, shopping, talking, and laughing. Words could never describe how grateful I am for you being there.
Erica, you refused to believe I would not be okay. We would sit in church together. You were praying for me, and I was praying for you. You called me all the time to see how I was doing. You were one of the first faces I saw when I opened my eyes after surgery. Nay loves you to the moon and back.
Jasmine, you said I helped everybody and that God was going to take care of me. You help everyone too! Your aunt loves you to the moon and back.
Tamara, you asked, Nay, you okay?
Nay is fine, and I love you to the moon and back.
Amanda, you were the youngest walking to fight cancer for me. Auntie loves you to the moon and back.
Chelsea, you may not have known what to say, but when I put braids in my hair when it grew enough to catch, your smile said it all. I love you to the moon and back.
Cara, I love the songs you sang to me on the phone. Auntie loves you to the moon and back.
Charles, the journal you bought me served its purpose. You must have known that I would have something to say. I love you to the moon and back.
To my sweet boy, Alton, who took notice of my physical change (no hair) and who looked at me for understanding, saying, I hope you feel better real soon, Renee.
I love you to the moon and back.
Corey,Elijah,Christopher, and Nia, your aunt loves you all to the moon and back.
Austin, after hearing of my condition, you traveled across the country to see me. I expected a phone call, but I got the real thing. You are a special human being, and I am blessed to have you for my brother.
David, thanks for trying to make me feel good about my bald head, telling me I looked like Lewis, but letting me know that I was beautiful as is. I love you with all my heart.
Tony, talking to God is awesome and talking about him is fulfilling. Thank you for listening to me rant about him. I love you with all my heart.
Allen, thanks for telling me along the way how well I was doing. I love you.
My sister, Sherrie, my shopping buddy. I know my cancer scared you, but you asked me, Do you know I love you?
Yes, I know, and I love you too!
My brother Aaron, you are a very special person. You go above and beyond to help me all the time. I love you with all my heart.
My aunt Sylvia, who called me regularly to see how I was doing, I love you.
Keyana, thank you
