Hello

His View

It was a typical Saturday game day at the gym. At this time, it was our facility for practice and games. We HCE (Homecourt Edge) started a Saturday development league for kids ages seven to eleven who are just starting to understand and play basketball. I was the coach of the ten-and-under team. My sister always told me, When you find that one for you, you will know regardless of your situation. Stop forcing it!

At the time, he was just a client whom I had trained and coached, getting him ready for the next game. I had no intention of meeting my dream come true.

Okay, back to that Saturday. This beautiful woman walked in with my client’s parents, and she caught my eye and attention immediately. No, not because I was a whore but because something about her was different. I never saw someone look so good in some black-and-white sweats with a white T-shirt and no makeup!

Well, still not introduced, while waiting to play the next game, she abruptly had to go to the restroom. It was the walk on top of all the other things I’ve mentioned. Her walk said confidence, swag, Miss Independent, and I don’t need you, and that made me want her even more.

Well, still not introduced, her godson (my client) had a bad game, and it made the introducing part very difficult. Well, it was Memorial Day weekend, and the night was still young, David (my client’s poppa) asked me if I wanted to go to the club that night. Not having anything to do, of course I would go, and I would get one more try at her.

I was in a dark place at this time, just looking for some type of light, so finding something fun to do was kinda easy. Moving to the club scene. She walked in. I still did not know her name. She was wearing some nice-fitted jeans with a flannel that she would wrap around her waist. I know the night was gonna be good because we both knew the DJ (Dave), and we were able to be on the stage as he was spinning.

Well, as the night went on, we met behind the projector.

Total confidence

! We smiled, a lot tipsy, and she kissed me! Not a small kiss but a real big one. Caught me by surprise. I guess you can say she knew exactly what she was doing. After the kiss, she stayed away from me like something had happened that I didn’t know why.

Well, after the club, we went to get what I like to call drunk tacos. I didn’t buy anything, but she, Dave, and Kristine (her BFF) did. The night was far spent, and I needed to get home, but I also needed to get her number. So I had to think quickly. Boom!

What is your name? I asked.

While she was giving me her name, there was my moment: I took a bite from her taco.

I’m sorry, Tiff what? I said with a mouth full of food.

! Why did you bite my taco?" she said.

Why did you kiss me? I said. Look, I just want your number. Is that okay?

There was a lot of back-and-forth before she gave in.
