About this ebook

Taking on the Legacy of Christ is a book that focuses on a consecrated walk in Christ. If we look at the life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, His life was one of purpose, dedication, and vision. This book will encourage you to build your spiritual and natural life with God. As Christians, we must recognize factors around us that lead to spiritual death. The Bible tells us that Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus declares that we can have life and have more abundance. Knowing how to recognize the tactics of the enemy and how Jesus responded when tested is critical to our success. I challenge you to apply these practical principles as you take on the legacy of Christ!

    Introduction

A Word of Wisdom about Legacy

There are two types of legacies we will explore in this book: spiritual-life learning and how to take on the legacy of Christ with these characteristics which are motivation, favor versus blessing, integrity, self-control, consistency, practice, unique techniques and concepts, effort, commitment, confidence, ability, being proud, going beyond, achieving your potential, vision, hope, courtesy, and not being easily threatened. Satan uses spiritual death. To strategize his destruction, he wants to steal, kill, and destroy our natural and spiritual life with God (John 10:10). One of the main things the devil wants to steal from you is your soul because that is what God has created for His glory and honor. There will be some stories in the Bible that we will talk about in this book; the devil will try to use spiritual and natural death among God’s people.

Furthermore, the devil wants your spiritual significance because he wants your spiritual gifts that are used for God’s personal praise and worship. The devil does not have any gifts of his own, so he wants to steal from what God uses; the devil’s main focus is to steal God’s glory by using as many instruments as he can for his praise and worship. For example, the devil tries to use our mouth and hands to worship him and uses giving as a weapon to honor him with time, talent, finances, and treasure. This is just the surface of what he tries to do for his own personal glory.

In conclusion, the last thing the devil wants to do is to kill your dreams, goals, and ambitions. This tactic is used to try and stop you from believing in God and His word. The enemy has only images and illusions behind which he hides his true motive. If you destroy the images, you will break the enemy. In John 7:38, the scripture states, He that believeth on me as the Scripture hath said out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Time is like a river. You cannot touch the same water twice because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of your life. (Is this a quote or your own thoughts?)

Bruce Lee once said, Be fast like water. Be flexible. You cannot hurt water. Be the water. You put water into a cup. It becomes the cup. You put the water into a bottle. It becomes the bottle. You put water into a teacup. It becomes the teacup. Water can flow, or it can crush. Be water, my friend.

    Motivation

The process of motivating is to stimulate action in regards to what happens to you or whatever you love to do, whether from your heart or for enjoyment or eagerness.

As a child, I grew up with cerebral palsy, which is a disability that affects the right side of my body. Cerebral palsy causes the right side to not work as effective, often making me work harder than others to do the same tasks. I can recall going to my therapy sessions and the doctor constantly telling my parents that all I would be able to accomplish is
