    Preface

    This is a compilation of some of my experiences with life, including my thoughts, ideas, wishes, praises, thankfulness, opinions and prayers. Experiences with my family; friends; work; resources like books, television programs, workshops, classes, writings, a variety of talks, speeches and sermons, church, words and music about my God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

    There are some favorite and inspiring bible verses, quotations and poems (some by other authors), and other writings included because of the experiences I had and have with them. They give some meaning, some inspiration and some purpose to life. I used some of my writings for letters/cards; for posters and in varied settings like those related to church and work.

    I love writing. I think the collections of writings in my book will appeal to Christians, parents, educators and readers of all ages who enjoy reading about some life lessons; many will be able to relate to the ideas and experiences, and I hope to get inspired, be in agreement and be justified in thoughts.

    MY GOD AND CHRISTIANITY

    Generational Unrighteousness

    I know we need to continue to ask God to deliver us from the unrighteousness. Our Father’s Word and His promises are unchanging and ageless. We have to act on His Word—His truth for our lives. We must remember God’s ways are not our ways. He tells us to love one another and allow Him to be the judge. We need to allow Him to be the peace; the relief; the soothing hot pad; the hot water bottle; the salve; and the warm, comforting tea.

    Each generation has to face its own challenges, but with man on this earth I see some good things and some bad things; some righteous and some unrighteous things that happen over and over, from generation to generation.

    We must seek righteousness with our whole hearts and create the fertile ground ready for God’s blessings. One generation should not have to miss out on God’s blessings because of another’s unrepentant trespasses.

    It Ain’t Over ’Til it’s Over!

    I recently had a thought about the phrase: It ain’t over ’til it’s over . . . This is made a fact because of God. Salvation, the gift more precious than diamonds or gold, is always available to those who profess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. You can pray letting God know that you are turning away from sin, that you know Jesus was raised from the dead, that you want to follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and that you are thankful for God’s forgiveness. In Matthew 19:26, Jesus said to His disciples, With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. In Mark 9:23—He said, If you can—Everything is possible for him who believes.

    Redeemed

    Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. Now, the blessings of Abraham are for us. The Word tells the redeemed to say they are redeemed . . . freed by the blood of Jesus. I am redeemed—so I can be blessed. I have to have faith and confidence in the blood; be free from the curse internally, so the blessings can work. I must reclaim the blessings with my words . . . I must proclaim: I am empowered! In all things I am blessed! Know, as I believe, so I speak! The Word is powerful—use His Word!

    Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

    God is the bread of life . . . the true source of life. All that is impossible with man is possible with God. There are no roses without thorns. Thorns have to be cut away then you can handle the stems. God is here for us; He cuts away the thorns and helps us to endure . . . helps us to run the course . . . helps us to see the beauty and peace . . . He knows the plans He has for us. He already has the plans for our lives in place. We must live continuously expecting and accepting His love, favor, grace and mercy.

    LIFE

    Live in trust and faith each day,

    Love, grace, mercy and care,

    God gives these freely in every way.

    God is the only true source of life,

    There is no need to be overwhelmed with impossibilities and strife.

    Get Satiated

    Believers who are just nibbling a little, and not being satiated with the Word are not allowing their minds and hearts to really hear, to believe and use the Word. We have to trust God and His Word.

    Remain Elevated

    If you have to take a step down to the level where a loved one is, assisting him/her in the effort to get up, do not put your mind down there and keep one foot on your elevated step in the Kingdom. God is using you as His disciple . . . an example for your loved one.

    Faith vs. Fear

    Fear minus faith = fault and defeat. Your faith is overtaken by fear and you are lost. The storm is upon you. You are in a canoe without oars. There is no forward movement in your life.

    Fear plus faith = favor and fulfillment . . . eventual victory. Your faith takes over and you are able to carry on, to move forward through the storm trusting God to be with you . . . to be in charge of your life. Loving, praising, worshipping and thanking God all the way!

    1-18-2010: I had a thought that incomprehensible stuff is happening in our lives and all around us.

    My Prayer—Thank you, Father for Jesus and our salvation; thank you for your Holy Spirit, for your Word and all your blessings. I want to say to all of my family and friends: Thank God for His plans—His words—His promises—His miracles—His responses and answers—His help—His solutions—His directions—His restoration and deliverance . . . His mercies . . . His love and forgiveness. In Jesus’ Name

    Note:

    The thorns on a rose bush can be a danger and yet the beauty of the bush is still there.

    We have to live our lives with the thorns and seek God and walk in a true relationship with Him; then, the beauty and light of God will shine through us—our hearts will overflow with His love and we will get the strength, power and revelation to move toward amazing and great things. When we walk with God, trusting, believing and obeying Him, He is our life spotter—He has our backs—He protects us and helps us to get back up again and again.

    We have to go through to get through . . . how we go through makes all the difference. We can go through with more peace—more assuredness if we go through with God, realizing He has the plans mapped out already for us.

    "GoTogether’s"

    Thankful and Thoughtful

    Thankless and Thoughtless

    As believers and dwellers in God’s Kingdom, we have to be thankful and thoughtful. We strive for holiness in our obedience to our Heavenly Father. We think God thoughts, we speak God talk and we live a Godly life. We cannot be thankless and thoughtless.

    Truly Look and then See

    Sometimes the one thing you’re looking for is the one thing you really can’t see. If you truly trust and obey God you could see yourself in it—on it—with it—doing it—being there. Then you could see the value in it—or you could see the lack of value to you and you could move on with your life.

    I regret the unnecessary suffering because I did not allow myself to see what God tried to show me. I forged ahead and did it anyway. I had a relationship and marriage with the wrong man. I was not obedient—sometimes I even changed the seen to the unseen—I saw and picked and chose little bits and pieces I thought I needed—I wanted . . . overlooking the real picture—the whole picture. I also was pleasing man and not God. The satisfaction was pseudo and short-lived. I had to pray for repentance and for deliverance. God had to say, I told you so and I tried to show you—to tell you it would be detrimental . . . not of value. I’ve heard it called learning the hard way. I moved but could not see.

    I praise God for never leaving me or forsaking me—for deliverance—for forgiveness. Trust God’s picture—His is the real one—the true one—the one you need to see, the whole picture; then, obey Him, jump in when He tells you to jump in—pursue what He tells you to pursue with your eyes and mind open—the windows to your heart are clear and not fogged over. Blessings, answers, direction, favor, prosperity, revelation and knowledge, strength and power come to us via our obedience to God’s Words. Disobedience delays desires.

    Give All to God

    We have to let God into every area, every aspect of our lives. We can’t pick and choose when, where or how we think we need God. We need God all the time and in all ways. You have to be a God person—a child of God all the time, not just on the Sabbath for a few hours; not just when you are in the company of fellow church goers and believers. God wants your whole heart—all of you, if you are in a real relationship with Him—if you are Kingdom-minded. The Word tells us about being in the world and not of the world . . . God’s Kingdom is not of this earthly world.

    Oh, if we looked at our lives and made sure we were giving our minds—bodies and souls to God; we would save ourselves undo pain and suffering . . . things will happen, but they won’t linger—they won’t barricade the march, the movement of life . . . we may stumble, we may even fall down, but we will get back up again before the count goes to ten. A clean heart and a right spirit is what God wants us to have.

    Don’t Battle Long

    While battling with myself, I have to remember: My Referee already knows the outcome!

    LOVE

    Know you are loved and then love. Be a giver of love . . . God loved and gave . . . John 3:16.

    Trust in the Lord;

    And be of Good Cheer;

    No matter the hurt;

    No matter the fear.

    Our Lord is able;

    Know our Lord is near!

    In this New Year, let us do all

    We can for ourselves and others

    To open the doors for God,

    To not block our blessings and

    To stay on His path for our lives.

    Happy New Year!

    I am the way and the truth and the life. John 14:6

    IN THE KINGDOM

    By Bettie Walker

    God’s Kingdom is where I want to be.

    I love being in His company.

    In God’s Kingdom I am free.

    So in God’s Kingdom is where I want to be.

    Blessings and rewards abound in the Kingdom:

    Like Peace and Hope;

    Faith, trust and confidence;

    Revelation and elevation;

    Favor, discernment and wisdom are found in the Kingdom.

    There is love and unity;

    Prosperity, progress and answers in the Kingdom.

    True friendships with kindness, gentleness and patience;

    Forgiveness and comfort are found in the Kingdom.

    There is honesty and truth, strength, power, healing and restoration

    In the Kingdom.

    Yes, there is joy, rejoicing and praise; God’s Kingdom is where I want to be.

    Where my mind is set on God’s words, Jesus’ teachings, and the Spirit’s inspirations:

    No lack; No shame; No fear; No doubt . . . Burdens are lifted—give a shout!

    I want to be in God’s Kingdom. Don’t you want to be in God’s Kingdom?

    Open your mind,

    Open your heart,

    Open your ears,

    Then open your mouth . . . Believe and Thank God in Jesus’ Name.

    Oh, taste and see that the Lord is GOOD . . .

    He is good to you!

    He is good to me!

    God’s Kingdom is where we want to be. We love being in God’s company!
