    Foreword

During this time of sensitivity to the gospel, the doctrine of hell if often softened or considered unpalatable. This book will reveal the very things that most Christian men and women are afraid to explore. Hell is a very real place, and the suppression of the certainty of it is a threat to those seeking to walk with the Lord in spirit and truth and are seeking a deeper relationship with Him.

Tom Sarge is motivated by his passion to see everyone delivered through the power of Jesus Christ and to be set free from the bondage of deception. The time of the great deception is upon us, and the Lord has placed this sensitive subject on his heart.

Two Ways to Hell will challenge you to look deeper into your relationship with Jesus. I pray that as you take the time to read the pages, you challenge yourself to diligently seek truth, that any scales that might hinder you from examining your inner man be removed, and that you ask the Lord to reveal any hidden things of your heart that may keep you from receiving this powerful revelation.

    Introduction

Hell is placing a bid for your soul. In the following chapters, you will see how the devil offers lies and deceit. The lies and deceit are two ways he uses to steal, trap, and convince you to believe his subtle schemes.

Millions are lured into the falsehood of his trickery. He was and is a liar from the beginning, and he delights in deceiving humanity. He wants you to stumble and fall. His use of lies and deceit paves a way to a home in hell. These two ways (or sides) are intended to sidetrack you. The devil’s main objective and attack against you is to follow his ways of lies and deceit as you walk on this side of eternity.

As you read, have an open mind and let God bring His light to show how the devil is trying to destroy you and the whole world by his cunning craftiness. Remember this: a lie is always a substitute for truth!

The Bible clearly states, You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Freedom is in your future if you listen to the truth of God’s Word. All the content in this book is to get a person to be aware of the bondage that Satan traps a person into. Millions of people are deceived because they ignorantly or rebelliously receive the lies of the devil. The following chapters are intended to expose the dark pathway that will lead a person to a gloomy place of eternal torment—namely, hell. Lies and deceit will drag you there.

May God bless you as you find His truth, freedom, and above all, His peace.

    Chapter 1

    Where Did the Love Go?

This chapter deals with the subtlety of spiritual numbness. There are a vast number of people who continue to go through all the motion but have left their first love.

Thou shalt love the Lord, thy God with thy whole heart, mind and strength. (Luke 10:27)

If we disregard this commandment, we may even become just religious. This sad reality overcomes any good intent.

The other commandment that is a sister to loving the Lord is Love thy neighbor as thyself (Luke 10:27). People may say, I love the Lord, but fail to love their brothers. The truth is, if you don’t love the person in front of you (whom you see), how can you love the Lord whom you can’t see?

And, because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Matthew 24:12)

Return unto Me and I will return unto you. (Zechariah 1:3)

Let brotherly love continue. (Hebrews 13:1)

It is all about being others minded.

Religion boasts about self-righteousness. It is about self-indulgence and will never replace true love. When His love fades in us, our love for others fades as well. A warning sign about losing our first love is when we stop loving others. We fail to see others through the eyes of the Lord.

Religion becomes the substitute for love. Without love for others, we become self-centered. People who lose love and concern for others tend to make themselves appear holy. They fail to realize that their love for God has fallen apart. Often, a person then goes through all appearance of having an updated relationship with God. If God is not present in your thoughts daily, you could easily drift into lack of love and concern for others. Religion now rules!

    Know Jesus—know Love

    No Jesus—no Love

Religion must never replace a true relationship with the Lord. Many fail to continue to follow Jesus. He said, Follow me (Matthew 16:24). In today’s society, people put their focus on outward appearance. Just like the Pharisees of the old, modern culture dictates that we must appear to be holy.

Be ye Holy as I am Holy.

Holiness is of the Lord. (1 Peter 1:16)

Nowhere in the Scriptures do we ever find that it is all about us. Jesus said: ‘Whoever desires to be great should have the mindset of a servant’ (Mark 10:44). Fulfilling the royal law of kindness and love for one another is what God expects of us.

They worship with their lips, but their heart is far from me. (Matthew 15:8)

The Lord says their worship is vain and useless. God doesn’t respond to a cold heart. Our modern church environment is full of people who are practicing Christians. They seem to master the art of hiding what is really inside their heart. People today have mastered the form of godliness. Having a form of godliness but deny the power (2 Timothy 3:5).

Being lukewarm is sitting on the fence, never really committing to a lifestyle of love and benevolence. The dangers of being lukewarm is that many sit in church week after week and not realizing that they have drifted away from their first love.

They profess that they know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

You may even do good charitable works, but what is your motive? Wanting to be seen of men? Why do you do what you do? The Bible says, That in the last days many shall depart from the faith and fall away (1 Timothy 4:1). You must keep your focus on the Lord and your heart clean.

Losing your first love is when your focus drifts away from the truth.

I am the way, the truth and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by Me. (John 14:6)

Drifting from the truth prepares the way of being deceived. Deception is
