About this ebook

Death is a mystery, and people fear that which they do not understand. No one looks forward to dying, but it is inevitable. The mystery is, "Is there something or someplace where a person will go to after their last breath?" There are many beliefs concerning this matter, and not all of them can be true. Television and the media have trained our minds to believe that heaven and hell is a figment of our imagination. There is no life after this one. Others believe in some sort of heaven or hell. They have questions: Are they real? What are they like? What goes on while there? Where are they? And vitally important, Who will reside in either place, and why? The focus of this book is to develop an understanding about hell. Hell will remain a mystery as long as a person does not go to the source for the information. There are books written which speak of people who have died, gone to hell, and then come back. Should we believe them? Are they fiction or fact? Where can we go to receive the truth and answers? Is there a source which we can believe and not question? This book is not written on fable or fiction but on fact. The writer never went to hell or had visions from God. The answers concerning hell are available to any who seeks and is interested in their life after death. Read on and become informed. Knowledge of hell will help the reader in making a life-changing decision. Read on if you desire the truth.

    So What Is Hell?

Some say hell is real. Some say it is real, but it is not as bad as fundamental preachers state. Some say it is just the grave, and others say it is just a state of mind. Not all of these are correct. Only one belief is the truth, and we must make the right choice in this lifetime, not by the knowledge of man, but with the wisdom of the holy Father God. Where can we find this knowledge? It is in the Book, the Word of God, which is the Bible.

In the Old Testament of the King James Bible hell is used thirty-one times. In the New Testament, it is used twenty-three times (a total of fifty-four times), not including any other references to hell. In the Old Testament, hell is translated from the word sheol. In the New Testament, it is translated from three words: tartaros, hades, and Gehenna. Hell, in the Bible, should never be taken symbolically. The first occurrence of the word hell is used in Deuteronomy 32:22, For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. Hell here must be taken literally because the earth and the mountains are real.

The scriptures does use symbolism, but when it does, it is clearly defined in most cases. If everything in God’s Word is symbolic, then how does anyone receive any truth or know for certain about foundational doctrines? God’s desire is for men to know Him, His Son, and His truths. If He wrote His words totally in symbolism, then it would be extremely difficult to understand what God desires us to know and do. The safest standard in reading and comprehending the Bible is to take everything literally until something symbolically comes up. John 10:7, Then said Jesus unto to them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. Jesus is not a real physical door; therefore it is logical to say He was speaking symbolically.

The word tartaros means the deepest abyss of Hades. Second Peter 2:4, For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment. This verse starts out telling the reader that there were some angels who sinned and rebelled against God. Due to their rebellion, they received His judgment and were cast down to hell. "But cast them down to hell," thrust them down to tartaros—meaning, the lowest part, or abyss of hades. Here is where the wicked have been imprisoned and tormented. Hell is regarded as being beneath the earth—also being dark, dismal, full of suffering, and a place for punishment. Some of these angels are confined in the dark prison with chains. To be reserved unto judgment; the angels, as well as the wicked, will be brought to trial in front of Christ during the last day. The argument here shows that God will punish the angels; it is fair inference He will punish wicked men on the last day also.

Hinnom or Ben-Hinnom (Hebrew Old Testament) / Gehenna (Greek New Testament) is the name of a valley outside of Jerusalem where their garbage and dead animals were cast and consumed by continual fire. Joshua 15:8, And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward. At one period of time this valley was defiled by Josiah and the whole valley was held in abomination by the Jewish nation. Second Chronicles 28:3, Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. The name was later used as a place of eternal torment. Gehenna gives the impression of fire and torment for those who reside in hell, and it is here where the wicked shall be punished.

In the New Testament, the suffering in hell is mostly pictured as by fire. Mark 9:43, And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched. It is also seen as a place of outer darkness Matthew 25:30, "And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth," and of darkness, Second Peter 2:17, These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. It is a place of being separated from the Lord for all eternity. Second Thessalonians 1:9, Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power. To reside in hell is as everlasting as residing in heaven. Matthew 25:46, And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Everyone should be concerned about heaven and hell. Each person should spend time reading, studying, and understanding hell from the source, God’s written Word, the Bible. There are several reasons why it is profitable to do so:

Hearing about the terrors of hell may shock one’s conscience and awaken people out of the false security so many think they have.

Hearing about hell helps to deter men from committing sin. Both the godly and the ungodly are persuaded not to sin as much when they regularly are reminded of the terrors of hell.

Hearing about the horrors of hell may awaken those among us who think we are saved because of having head knowledge of Christ or the Gospel but are not saved because there is no heart knowledge and are on the way to hell.

Preaching the doctrine of hell is profitable to both the godly and ungodly alike.

To seek wisdom, knowledge, and enlightenment about hell or any other subject about the teachings of Jesus Christ, everyone needs to attend a Bible-preaching church which preaches the whole Word of God and listen to the pastor or preacher. Listening is not only with the ears but with the heart. While attending church, one must seriously study the Bible. As a person reads and seeks knowledge of the Bible, he needs to ask the Holy Spirit for guidance, direction, and truth of what is studied.

(Within these writings, there may be times where there is the need to touch on certain subjects more than once. The reader may read a verse and its meaning more than a few times. Each time there may be more relevant information given or it is pertinent to the discussion at hand. Besides, going over or rehashing information helps to place the subject in the memory banks for later use.)

    Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    Proverbs 2:5–8

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom; out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous; he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of the saints.

    My Personal Testimony

The reason I became saved, or born again, at the age of thirteen was I heard about heaven and hell, Christ and the devil, and I became afraid of the idea of spending eternity in torment. The idea of burning forever and ever and never escaping because I could not humble myself into accepting a new Master became a reality, and so I took the first step of faith needed to secure my eternity. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. He gave me mercy and grace, even though I did not deserve it. I realized Christ went to the cross for me and took my sins upon His shoulders. He shed His blood for me, to redeem my soul, so that I will have everlasting life.

In 1993, I heard Dr. Jim Vineyard preach a message on hell. His preaching was about all the souls that were entering hell and would be alive and burning for eternity. I also listened to him concerning the torment of the fire and brimstone each person would receive, and I kept thinking to myself, What could I do about this? The Holy Spirit told me to surrender my life to serve the King of Kings and be a full-time servant for Him. Again, I took another leap of faith to become His servant.

If someone asks me what religion I am, I am a Bible-believer first and a Baptist second. God does not care for the name of the church a person has become a member of. He has an intense interest in what you did while you were alive on this earth and if you made the right decision to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. Was receiving Christ done with your heart and soul or only with your head? If you did it with your heart, you are allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven. Head knowledge of Jesus does not help anyone to enter heaven; it is what has been done with one’s heart. God looks into the spiritual part of man and sees if he truly accepted His Son as his Savior.

My sole desire is to preach the Word of God, to see people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and to keep as many souls from going to hell as possible. I pray daily that God will use me as a carpenter uses a tool to build a house. All I am is that tool to help establish the Master’s kingdom, like other ministers and servants who serve the living Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Many months ago, I started a personal Bible study on hell and discovered a great abundance of information and treasures I did not know before. What began as a one-day study turned into weeks and months; finally, the Lord impressed upon me that this information needs to be given to as many people as possible. Other than preaching and teaching, the next best way is to write the knowledge and information in book form for others to read. The following pages hopefully will answer questions a person may have and help in making the most important decision concerning this area of heaven and hell.

I am not a professional writer. I am a servant who desires to share the knowledge of the Bible with others. The information contained within these pages will hopefully direct you to the correct path in making the proper steps in receiving Christ.

My prayer for you is to ask the Holy Spirit to open your mind and heart. As you read this book, also read your Bible. By reading both, you can compare scripture to information within these pages. One needs to pray to receive the help from the Lord that He will give you true wisdom and insight so that you might make the right choice concerning hell. Ultimately, I pray for you to share your knowledge with others. All Christians have at least one ministry; we are commanded to GO and keep others from going to hell and instead seeing them enter the gates of heaven.

    Matthew 28:18–20

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

    Revelation 4:11

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

    Introduction

When confronting a person about where he will spend eternity after he dies, usually he will state, This is a private matter between me and God. People do not like to think about death or the afterlife. Around the world, there exist various beliefs of what occurs after a person leaves this world. Men base their opinions on societal norms or intellectual standards as to what they think they know. With this type of thinking, many are taking their eternal soul in their own hands and hoping they are correct. There is truth available concerning hell, but most would like to base what they know on opinion. This writer believes the entire Word of God. I go directly to the Source to find the key components and use biblical verses so that you as the reader be able to know the truth about hell. One also needs to understand the Person Who wrote the Bible. To know the Writer of the scriptures helps in receiving the correct knowledge necessary to make the right decision about life after this world. I have attempted to give the proper meaning of the scriptural verses so that nothing is out of context.

Why would a person not want to know the truth about hell? Because truth calls for a response. If a person knows hell exist, then he must violate his conscience to keep living a sinful life. Most people would be bothered knowing a truth and not abiding by it. Therefore it is better to remain ignorant. If the reader believes in the Word of God, he or she will not have a problem with the contents of this book. If a person who is reading this book has no faith in God’s Word, then he will doubt the substance of this writing and follow the views of men.

We must first comprehend, when a person dies, he will exist eternally either in heaven or hell. Daniel 12:2, 3, And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. And many—this means everyone will die due to the sin prevalent around the world and in man, because of Adam’s sin. Sleep here does not mean the soul sleeps, but it means death. There shall be a future resurrection for all who have died and their bodies which are in the grave shall rise also. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake. Notice the word some, which denotes only a portion of these. This signifies that there are two classes of people and not all will go to the same place.

Here is a vision of a future event where multitudes shall rise as a great resurrection from the ground (the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead). Some will rise to everlasting life with Christ and others to eternal damnation. And they that be wise is used for people who chose to serve God and keep His commandments while they abode on this earth. We are to use our intelligence and understanding toward the things of God and have faith in the wisdom given to all men by the prophets and writers of the Bible. Here are individuals who received instruction and lived by them. True religion is knowledge not found of this world but received from above.

While alive on this world, one must choose to live for God. People must be willing to choose the path Christ walked during His time on this world. Each person who accepts Christ shall be like a beautiful shining star, they that turn many to righteousness. What better service to the King than converting men’s souls to worship the true God and walk the proper path taught by the scriptures! Christians should bring sinners to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; it is our duty.

As the stars refers to those individuals who were wise while alive on planet earth. Here individuals preached Christ crucified to those they came into contact with and helped convert sinners to the Christian faith. These are compared to the beauty of the stars as they shine at night. God sees all things, and He promised to honor those who have worked, toiled, and made sacrifices in His name.

Matthew 25:46, And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. The duration of happiness for the righteous is the same time period for the torment of the wicked. The language of the Bible is simple and clear to understand. Many who hold to the doctrine of salvation have life eternal. Those who choose not to receive salvation shall go to eternal torment, anguish, and suffering. The pain inflicted on the person is for their crimes committed. It shall be absolutely for the wicked as taught by the Savior. The Lord permanently set this doctrine in stone, and no matter what people believe or disbelieve has no bearing as to what Christ spoke to man. Notice the use in Daniel 12:3, for ever and ever. It is for all eternity and meant to be both for the sinner and the saint.

There is a final state for all men after death. The spirit must separate from the body and enter immediately into one of two places. Then one day the body shall be resurrected and joined to the soul, and all will receive judgment. The permanent condition of men either will be godly in nature, or the wicked shall receive eternal punishment. The final estate of man has brought about a multitude of questions. Here we shall discuss the perpetual state of hell. Everyone has only this lifetime to determine his final destiny.

Hebrews 9:27, And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. There is a saying, Man is born to die. This is literal truth and absolute. It is a fact and can only occur once in everyone’s lifetime. Sin is the cause of death. Anyone who dies does so but once and cannot come back again to make the right preparations. We die by divine decree or by statute and appointment. God allows men a certain amount of time to live on this world; then they must meet death face-to-face. Man’s death also brings judgment, which occurs only once. Note that death must be first then sentencing will follow. (Here proves that there is no rebirth into another living creature as some religions believe.) The most important decision made in this lifetime must be made before drawing one’s last breath, which makes this decision final.

People around the world are very inquisitive about hell. Since the beginning of time, thoughts of the afterlife have been on their minds. This curiosity has been reflected in the literature of every culture. The main issue is, Is there a literal or real hell? Other questions arise and need answers. Where is hell? Why was hell created? What is contained in hell? Who goes to hell? Why does man have to go to hell? If God were such a loving God, why would He send His creation made in His image to such a terrible and horrible place?

In every society, there is a place where a wicked man goes when he dies. There was a poll taken in the early 1990s, and 60 percent of Americans believed in the existence of hell, and their ideas about this place varied significantly. Each society may call hell by a different name. Ultimately, it is always the most undesirable, reprehensible, and horrible place to waste one’s eternity. I am sure you can think of some other questions about hell, which are pertinent, not mentioned, and may consider crucial. Hopefully, by the end of this book, some of the mysteries surrounding the nature of hell will be answered.

The doctrine of hell is one of the most neglected doctrines in all the scriptures that is not preached on. When hell is mentioned in the world today, people ridicule even the notion, as if the whole idea were so old-fashioned that only a naive and ignorant person would believe such a place exist. It is not hard to understand why people believe this. Natural man hates the idea of being held accountable for his life to a holy God. Because of their love of sin and lack of sincere desire to part with it, hell cannot possibly be real. The carnal mind makes objection after objection to the reality of hell because the carnal mind does not want to face the certainty of it. Men live their lives thinking that maybe if they ignore a truth long enough, it will go away. Even conservative religious leaders are not preaching on hell. Amid the demand to destroy the concept of a literal hell and to make it a nonexistent place, we who believe the Bible to be true must stand, speak, and declare that hell is a real place and people are entering it daily.

Hell is one of the most important topics or doctrines of the Bible, even though no one likes to discuss or hear about it. There has always been an innate fear as well as a fascination of the devil and his domain. As we have grown up, we visualized hell as a place of torment, full of demons and ghouls. The devil was a funny-looking man wearing a red suit, a pointed tail, and a black pitchfork. A person does not even have to attend church to know this. We have seen television shows about the devil, where he lives, what is hell, and what his minions look like and all his little demons that are under his command. We have books and articles available concerning hell and how scary and terrible it will be. By the media making hell a place of unrealism, they have made it a location of fantasy and unbelief.

God, on the other hand, has given all humans a conscience. A conscience automatically senses what is good and evil. This sense of what is righteous and evil governs a person’s thoughts and actions. It urges him or her to do right rather than wrong. The American idiom Let your conscience be your guide is what God desires for His people. God wants people to obey their conscience. The behavior of an individual is according to what he has deemed as right and wrong.

Within our conscience, God has given each of us personal knowledge about hell. He has instilled in the conscience that hell is a real terrible place to spend eternity. People who are near death have this great fear of the unknown. THE UNKNOWN, Where will I spend eternity? At that one moment, when a person knows death is inevitable, and his last breath is just seconds away, it is then his mind kicks in and fear becomes real. The thinking process starts to analyze, Is there a God? Is there eternity? as well as many other questions.

The majority of the world’s religions relay to the masses that hell is imaginary, or if a person does go to hell, it will be for a period of time, like serving a jail sentence, and then be released and enter heaven. The men who stand in the pulpits may mention hell, but it is basically to scare a person into doing right. It is easier to preach all must do good works, plus a little obedience to God, then all will escape hell. As everyone knows, all good men, women, and children go to heaven.

As stated, hell is hardly ever preached anymore. It has become offensive to the individual mind. Members and visitors would rather hear about the love of God and heaven. To preach on hell is distasteful, and any preacher that dares to venture into a sermon about hell is invading their member’s personal space. Why is this so? Does not the scripture state to preach the whole Word of God? Second Timothy 4:2, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. It is the duty of the preacher to make the Gospel known, and this includes the subject of hell.

There is a simple reason why people feel insulted when hearing about hell, and it is because preachers have been avoiding a critical component of the Gospel far too long. They use many excuses to state why they choose not to preach on hell. However, no matter how the preachers try to justify themselves, they are doing wrong in the sight of God. Avoidance of any subject that Jesus Himself taught on more than He taught on heaven is biblically erroneous in the sight of God.

Why are people not fearful of hell? Simply, there is a real lack of good godly fear today concerning the reality of hell. That is right, I said, good godly fear. Psalms 33:8, Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. Godly fear is not only for a select few but "all the earth." To fear the LORD is to worship, revere, and stand in awe of the Creator. Everyone is obligated to serve the Lord, and it is one’s duty for Christian obedience. Genuine fear helps people make choices that are beneficial and will help a person change his ways for the better in this world. By this, I mean, we do not break laws, for we know there will be repercussions. However, when you add God to the equation, then this affects our spirituality. Now we must obey man’s law as well as God’s laws. God is an infinite, omnipresent, omniscient being who needs nothing and demands our allegiance to Him. Why then do people around the world and those who attend church lack God-given healthy fear of hell and what it represents?

A person would never be afraid of a picture of a lion, even if it looks ferociously real and it would kill him. What if you were on a plane and it crashed in the middle of the jungle? You were the only survivor and became completely lost, and then you heard the roar of a lion! Fear would settle in, especially if it started chasing you and the roaring becomes louder and more ferocious. I could almost guarantee any sane person would show himself to be terrified, and his mind would be stressed out.

Well, this is the devil. We have seen a picture or heard of the devil for so long he does not scare us in the least bit. The devil has been chasing us all our lives, and all we think is oh well as casual as saying go away. However, remember that lion that is about to devour you as you have been running for your life, and you know the moment you stop, you will die. You are running for your life and searching for a safe haven, anything or anyplace that will keep you from being eaten by that lion. The devil is just like the lion who is on the prowl, and every person must find safety.

First Peter 5:8, 9, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. Every person needs to be watchful because there is a real enemy who constantly attacks our very being. We are to exercise being alert and be on guard against the craftiness and power of the evil one. One needs not to be so concerned about worldly affairs but more concerned about heavenly matters. We who belong to Christ are soldiers, and the enemy is always nearby. Therefore, we are to be vigilant and on guard, always on watch, lest we are to be surprised by his attack. Our enemies are always alert and are ready to attack the moment our defenses are lowered.

The adversary is the enemy of every person, worldwide, and is known as the devil, an accuser, and he is ruthless. His purpose is to try and keep men from returning to God and attempt to secure their own salvation. He desires the souls of men and looks for souls to devour. He is called a roaring lion, which denotes he is powerful and can easily overpower us. He is the monarch of this jungle, which is the world. He uses his seductive arts to charm men and lure them away from the call of God.

The conscience of man is like that of looking at the picture of the lion. They know there is a real lion but do not fear it, for it is only a picture. We have heard about hell in the Bible. We are aware the Lord Jesus spoke of hell, and yet men do not believe it is real. WHY? It is because they do not hear enough about it, nor study about it from the scriptures.

What we hear is what we believe. When people hear of any subject repeatedly, the more men become believers, and it is true for anything. People hear of gossip, and they take it as truth. We hear about the theory of evolution and take it as fact, although they both are lies. It is the same with hell. We receive small bits of information about hell from here and there, and we think it is not all that bad and accept it as truth. What we hear tends to establish our belief systems. What a shame for those who believe like this, and it is a double shame for those preachers who do not do their God-given responsibility of presenting a clear and precise picture of hell. By reading the Word of God and relying on the Spirit, we can receive the terrors of hell in our hearts in such a way as to see the principles and doctrines of hell are alive and real. The doctrine of hell has been used more often for conversion of a sinner than any other doctrine of the Bible.

    Is There Proof?

To prove or disprove anything, one must use facts as scientific evidence, not assumptions. The world is full of intellects that state many things, on the assumptions of theories. A theory is defined as the following:

1: the analysis of a set of facts in their relation to one another 2: abstract thought: SPECULATION 3: the general or abstract principles of a body of fact, a science, or an art 4 a: a belief, policy, or procedure proposed or followed as the basis of action b: an ideal or hypothetical set of facts, principles, or circumstances — often used in the phrase in theory 5: a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena 6 a: a hypothesis assumed for the sake of argument or investigation b: an unproved assumption: CONJECTURE c: a body of theorems presenting a concise systematic view of a subject (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Notice the keys words attributed to the word theory: it is an idea, a speculation, and an abstract thought. It is an idea formed by speculation, dealing with circumstances that are hypothetical and conjecture. (Webster Dictionary)

Nowhere can a person find the words that theory proves or disproves anything based on pure facts.

There are many theories about hell. These theories are not based on facts, because no living person has seen hell, viewed what it is like, or seen who abode there. Men have always had a great imagination and tried to assert their imagination and conjecture to make proof statements about hell. They may use tidbits of information from the Bible to formulate their answers about hell, but their logic leaves out the one main component, which is God.

A proof statement is something like this: men breathes air because of gasses that have mixtures of oxygen, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and other compounds and elements which surround the environment in which man lives. The first step is to prove this statement by doing scientific and extensive research on the environment. The scientists study a real substance (which is air), then consider a man who has lungs that fill and expel certain gasses in the environment where he lives. They use empirical (based on observation and experiment: based on or characterized by observation and experiment instead of theory, Merriam-Webster Dictionary) evidence to make conclusive results. Therefore, due to scientific research, the proof statement man breathes air is truth.

Now, no one on the face of this planet will deny this statement because many scientists have studied, tested, and proved this to be correct. They have all the evidence they need available. Everything tested is genuine, and there can be no doubt about this matter. Scientists can test and retest this subject and always come up with the same result.

As stated before, a theory is conjecture and based on assumption because there is no way to prove one way or the other something is true. The reason is simple: the subject has no way to be subjected to testing. An example of a theory that is prevalent throughout the world is the theory of evolution, which came around because of a distinguished scientist named Charles Darwin. There is no scientific basis for this argument because no one can travel back in time and see the beginning of this world or man. What scientists have done is take tiny fragments of evidence and attempt to make this evidence fit a bigger picture that they cannot explain. Hence, this theory states that we came from a single-celled organism, which eventually turned into a man. Now, this theory has been around a long time, and man, being a creature of habit, accepts this theory as fact, with no scientific basis.

We who believe in the whole Word of God know without a doubt that we did not come from monkeys or from the ooze of the slime of the early age. When we say, we have faith in the Bible, we state, Thus saith the Lord, and I believe it! God said He created us and made us in His image, in the book of Genesis. Genesis 1:26, 27, And God said, Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created he them. What we read is God made man in His image, and we must look at the fact God used the plural form us to represent Himself. The us used in these verses refers to the Trinity. For the Trinity is God in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three had a part in creating man, the universe, and all creation.

If we came from monkeys as evolutionist states, why are there still monkeys nowadays? If dinosaurs lived before man millions of years, why is there scientific proof of fossils with both footprints of man and dinosaurs together, side by side? When this dinosaur made the fossil, a man had to come along at about the same time to leave his footprint; this is scientific fact. Alternatively, when they found dinosaur’s remains, within the contents of its stomach was a man. Why would not the scientists state these facts to the public? It is simple: researchers do not want the world to know that they could be or are wrong. To accept evidence that is real and physically available would contradict their picture of evolution. Their proofs of how we came to be would be in error and ruin their pieces of their puzzle.

The Bible gives clear evidence that the theory of evolution is not true. The theory of evolution has been around for thousands of years. Aristotle taught of an internal spontaneity, which is the same as today’s scientists calling it resident force, or impersonal energy. What they are saying is, energy just happened. If this is true, then they are saying a Supreme Being did not cause the creation of the world, universe, and everything contained within it. Science takes away what the Bible states that God is the Creator. However, where is the proof of their statements? Where did the initial energy originate? What was its source? For all things have a source. The theory of evolution makes man and Jesus Christ no better than the monkey or any other animal. When we die, that is it; there is nothing else. We supposedly will return to the ooze where all life started.

This theory removes the truth from the Bible and how it declares man fell into sin, for how can a single cell evolve into an intelligent being, go backward, and digress in evolution—for evolution is a process of always evolving forward. The fall into sin would show men are not progressive but digressive. By believing in the theory of evolution, we do not have to believe in the miracles of the Bible and the supernatural abilities of the prophets, Jesus Christ, the disciples, or even God. Under this theory, we will keep evolving to the next, next, and next level—and who can know, maybe one day everyone will progress to godhood, except for scientists who believe this theory do not believe in God.

Then there can be no miracles, for the only miracle is the impersonal power to create the first cell. With the denying of miracles, they deny the miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ, for it is contradictory to the theory of impersonal energy. Without the resurrection, there can be no atonement or Second Advent because it would deny their theory of impersonal energy, due to the fact regeneration from an outside power directly opposes any of their statements. With no Second Advent, there would be no restoration of the earth and
