The eagle is a symbol of strength and endurance. It is unlike any other bird that God created, and it commands a prominent place in the Word of God.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

(Psalm 103:2-4)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 4:6&7)

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    Christ’s Divinity: He Is God

    1 John 5:20

    Dr. Victor Cruz, Pastor

    August 15, 2010

Introduction. Today we have many religions that say they believe in Jesus Christ as just a man, a good man. They even say that He came to the world and died on a cross and believe in the history about Him; but, they don’t believe that He is God. This is a very big problem because if Jesus in not God, we have no savior, we are still in our sins, we are all lost and doomed to an everlasting hell.

The Bible proves without a doubt that Jesus is God.

Isaiah the prophet calls Jesus the Mighty God: For unto us a Child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6 ).

A virgin shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which means God with us (Matthew 1:23).

Jesus is the Word of God: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God (John 1:1).

The Jews answered Jesus saying, because that Thou, being a man, makest Thyself God (John 10:33).

And Thomas answered and said unto Him [Jesus], ‘My Lord and My God (John 20:28).

Paul tells us to take heed; to feed the flock, over which the Holy Ghost made you overseers; to feed the church of God which He hath purchased with His own blood (Acts 20:28).

Jesus is God. Christ came in the flesh.

Whose are the father’s, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen (Romans 9:5).

God manifests in the flesh is a great mystery. Great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (1 Timothy 3:16).

    Jesus is God our Savior.

    Titus 1:3

    John 3:16

Jesus is a king with a throne and a kingdom. But unto the Son He saith, Thy throne O God, is forever and ever, a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Thy kingdom (Hebrews 1:8).

Jesus is also Lord and Master. Jesus said, ‘Ye call Me Master and Lord, ye say well, for so I am’ (John 13:13).

Jesus is the Lord of all. (Acts 10:36)

Jesus is the Lord of both the dead and the living (Romans 14:9).

Jesus is the Lord of Glory (1 Corinthians 2:8).

He God, is our Lord Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:3).

One day all will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:11).

Jesus will appear soon. Let’s keep His Word without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 6:14).

Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings; and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful (Revelation 17:14).

Jesus is the Son of God that came into the world. He is the only true Savior. He is Everlasting Life. He is Eternal Life. Jesus is the true God. He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Jesus only is the mighty God.

This is the true God and Eternal Life (1 John 1:20).

And His name shall be called…the Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6).

Because Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God, coming into the world as the Son of Man to die for our sins, that makes Him God Almighty, for He and His Father God are one.

And the angel said, ‘Mary, fear not, for thou hast found favor with God. And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest’… Mary said to the angel, ‘How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?’ And the angel said to Mary, ‘The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee, therefore, also that Holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God’ (Luke 1:30–32, 34–35).

Jesus was God in heaven with the Father and the Holy Ghost in eternities past, born of a virgin as the Son of God and Son of Man, became a man without sin, and gave His life to die on a cross as a sacrifice for all the sins of man. He rose from the dead on the third day. Afterward, He walked the earth for forty days, seen by many people. Then He ascended to heaven and is coming back very soon.

Concerning His coming back to earth, the angels said in Acts 1:11, This same Jesus which is taken up into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into Heaven.

Jesus Our Lord is coming back for us, His church, His bride, and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).

The (6) Doctrine of Christ (6)

    2 John 9:11; Hebrews 6:1–3

    Dr. Victor Cruz Pastor

Introduction. Saint Paul and Saint John exhort the Christian believers to stay firm and strong in the doctrines (teachings) of Christ. They also call them to obedience to the truth in Christ and to walk in the truth of His Word, Christ’s teachings, which are the doctrine of Christ.

Paul and John both give us warning against false teachers. They call us to separation and not to receive that person into your house (2 John 10–11).

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son (2 John 9). That they may be one as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me (John 17:21).

Abide in His doctrine, Word, teachings:

If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7).

The doctrine of Christ (Hebrews 6:1–3).

Leaving the principles of the Doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection (Hebrews 6:1).

Paul’s exhortation to be strong in the faith, to go on to spiritual maturity and growth.

I have written unto you, young men, because you are strong and the Word of God abideth in you, and you have overcome the wicked one (1 John 2:14).

Now the God of Peace, that brought from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep. Make you perfect in every good work to do His will working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:20–21).

The doctrine of Christ is the first six principles of Christianity.

    Repentance

Repentance, in Hebrew is shuwb, meaning to turn back.

Turn ye again everyone from his evil ways and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the Lord hath given unto you and to your fathers forever and ever (Isaiah 25:5).

Repentance in Hebrew is also nocham, to regret.

Repentance shall be hid from my eyes (Hosea 13:14).

O Israel, return unto the Lord thy God, for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity (Hosea 14:1).

Repentance is one of the main doctrines of the Bible; it is found 110 times from Genesis 6:6 to Revelation 16:11.

Repentance in Greek is metanoeo, meaning to change the mind for the better morally, to change the attitude toward sin.

I tell you, ‘Nay, but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19).

Repentance in Greek is also metanoia, to have a real change of mind and attitude toward sin and its cause and not just merely the consequences of it.

For I (Jesus) am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (Matthew 9:13).

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance (Matthew 3:8).

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world worketh death (2 Corinthians 7:10).

    II. Faith

    Dr. Victor Cruz Pastor

    September 19, 2010

(Continuation: the Doctrine of Christ is the first six principles of Christianity)

    Faith in God through Christ

Faith in Greek is pistis, meaning to have confidence; to be faithful or act with faithfulness, trust, pledge of good faith; also translated belief or believe.

Faith toward God, or faith in God (Hebrews 6:1).

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

"But without faith, it is impossible to please Him (God), for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).

Jesus said unto him, ‘If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

Salvation comes to us by grace through faith.

For by grace are you saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Faith should be accompanied by love:

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by (faith) that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:17).

Faith gives us peace with God.

"Therefore, being justified by (faith) we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).

"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, the just shall live by faith" (Romans 1:17).

Faith (believing) is the work of God:

Then said they unto Him, ‘what shall we do, that we might work the works of God’ Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘this is the work of God, that you believe on Him (Me, Jesus) whom He hath sent (John 6:28–29).

Faith is the victory that overcometh the world.

Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Faith gives us hope and joy:

"I had fainted, unless I had believed, to see the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the Living" (Psalm 27:13).

"By whom also we have access by faith, into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God" (Romans 5:2).

Faith, believing, trusting in God and His Word gives us power and keeps us in union with Christ:

"And he believed in the Lord, and he counted it to Him for righteousness" (Genesis 15:6).

"Even the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference"(Romans 3:22).

"For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone that believeth" (Romans 10:4).

The just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11).

We are commanded by Jesus to have faith (Mark 11:22–24) and not to doubt.

"And Jesus answering said unto them, ‘Have faith in God’ (literally, have the faith of God) ‘for verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall
