About this ebook

I intended to make this manuscript a 30 day devotional covering a few of the more popular verses most of us are familiar with and some impactful revelations from the Old Testament in order to impart faith in Jesus Christ in you. The Bible is full of this knowledge that is beyond beneficial to you, but you must remember these things, to keep them in your hearts and minds. I am utilizing the concept of the devotional in order to keep you conscious of Him on a daily basis.

Day 25

Jonah 1:12 ESV
"He said to them, "Pick me up and hurl me into the sea; then the sea will quiet down for you..."

The Bible says that Jesus is the Word. Also, beginning with Moses and the prophets, Jesus interprets in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself (Luke 24:27).
He called our generation adulterous, and that we would only be given the sign of Jonah (Matthew 12:39). We are adulterous because we are betrothed to one, Jesus Christ, and we do not seek His Words, but instead we receive the doctrine on man or lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Jonah's name means "Dove". It was the Spirit descending like a "dove" that rested on Jesus Christ.
One who doubts is like a wave of the sea (James 1:6), and the wind is likened to the doctrine of man (Ephesians 4:14). In combination, these produce fear and torment, and like Peter, when we take our eyes off of Jesus we lose faith in Him and begin to sink.
The sea, typifying the Word of God, is where we place Jesus the Christ. This is the sign of Jonah. Put Jesus in the water(Word), then it will quiet down for you.

Luke 11:30 ESV
"...as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation."

Psalm 55:6 ESV
"...Oh, that I had wings like a dove(Jesus)! I would fly away and be at rest."

Daniel 2:20...21-22 ESV
"Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might...He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; He reveals deep and hidden things..."

Author

Ryan David Rangel

Ryan Rangel has been called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Growing up in the church as far back as being dedicated to God as an infant, he has seen many forms of religion and worship. Ryan, feeling that something was missing from the church and having the heart to figure out the right way, has dedicated every ounce of his being to submit to God through His Word in order to absorb the true nature and understanding of God. Fortunately, through submission to God, Ryan has been enlightened through His Spirit to come to the wisdom, understanding, and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. His work separates itself from what we have known and have become accustomed to. It truly exemplifies Jesus Christ, bringing to light the good news of Jesus through the knowledge of Christ being revealed to Him in God’s Word.

Gospel Truth Devotional - Ryan David Rangel

    Day 1

    GENESIS 3:21 ESV

The Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.

In order for God to have provided clothing a living creature had to be sacrificed. We know through knowledge of the scriptures that we are clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Genesis 3:21 is a prophecy from the beginning of time. Since the foundation of the earth God had planned to cover our nakedness, through sacrifice, with the clothing(Righteousness) of another, that man is Jesus Christ.

    Revelation 19:13 ESV

He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which He is called is The Word(Jesus/John 1:14) of God.

    Job 10:11 ESV

You clothed me with skin and flesh...

    Job 29:14 ESV

I put on righteousness(Jesus), and it(He) clothed me...

    Isaiah 61:10 ESV

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation; He has covered me with the robe of righteousness...

    Luke 8:35
