About this ebook

Is Jesus God? has been a long standing question that protracted over millennia and has continued to extend from the past, the present and to the unforeseeable future. Man has tried to research on the fact of whether Jesus is God or not and each time he digs further into this question, he ends in whims. But here, is the answer for the millennia long search. This book answers all questions relating to this issue and clearly explains each quizzical and mythical confrontation on whether Jesus is God. The ambiguities from the Bible, which have inclinations on addressing Jesus as God have been identified and explained extensively. Further, the book addresses the trinity issue and deeply searches the statements from God Himself as to whether He said Jesus was God and as well requiring the same statement from Jesus Himself on this similar issue.

    About the Author

    INTRODUCTION

The author of this booklet wishes to inform the readers about the issues relating to whether Jesus is God, whether there is God who is the Father of Jesus and our Father; as well as looking into the Holy Spirit as the third personality of the deity.

Honestly, God is the Father, Jesus is the Son of God and the Holy Spirit is the Agent of God and the three constitute the godhead. It should be clearly noted that God is the highest in this order, Jesus Christ is the second and the Holy Spirit is the third.

When Jesus was bidding farewell to his disciples at the book of Matthew 28:18-20, he recognised this order saying: Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. In this statement Jesus begins by saying that all the authority has been given to Him. This in itself means that He acknowledged that He got this authority from His Father. In John 14:28, Jesus says he was going to the Father, because the Father is greater than Him. Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:3 says that God is the head of Jesus. In simpler terms Paul meant to say that God is higher than Jesus Christ. God is superior to Jesus Christ.

When Lucifer decided to fight heaven, his war was against Jesus the Son of God, because he felt that Jesus was given more honour by God and His angels as compared to him who was an angel of higher honour carrying the light wherever God was.

Furthermore, when Jesus was giving a farewell address in John 14:1-3, he stated that the hearts of the disciples should not be troubled, because He was going to His Father in heaven and that there in heaven were many mansions in His Father's house for which if it were not so, He would have not told them so. He said that they should believe in God and believe in Him also, because He was the agent of God who came to do God's work and plans for the world to know who God is and what His intentions about this world were.

From one generation to the next generation, this question has been asked and we really need to find the truth from what God and Jesus tell us in the Holy Scriptures regarding this question. Man has become wiser and wiser in each century coming and passing and the world of technology stretches wider and wider to search some of the mysteries that God had put in both heaven and earth, but to some extent, human knowledge lacks as it has to end somewhere in time and space. While this remains so, where we end is where God continues to teach us that, indeed, we were created by Him. Our failures cannot be attributed to the fact that God does not know or is not aware of what he created Himself and the purpose for creating whatever is created. The search for the truth should not go beyond or above what God wants humankind to know. Instead we should be guided by realities and the wisdom that comes from God Himself. Aside knowing God, human beings become null and void.

The very reasons and foundations of who created Jesus Christ are crucial to our understanding. We have to understand logics and realities and how these logics and realities could be best interpreted using the scriptures and not human understanding alone. Creating means you cause to exist something that you feel should be part of the systems that you design and desire to see operating to the very reasons that you have hoped to create that thing for.

During the Old Testament times the Lord God was the one who was addressed at most incidences. He could send angels to appear on His behalf and give messages to the people. Clearly Jesus and the Holy Spirit existed during all these periods but in their different forms and images.

God does not die at any given point, because He is immortal. How can God come and die for the creature that He had created when He Himself has stated that Jesus would go for this on the cross. Isaiah 53:1-12 shows that even in old times God had a mission with Christ to accomplish. In the Garden of Eden was planted a tree of life and when Adam and Eve had sinned, God forbade that they should go and eat from it and then live forever such as He and His Son and the angels who had not sinned. The attributes of God are that He is immortal, eternal, invisible and all powerful, creator of heaven and earth and all that in them is. If He possesses such attributes, how would man belittle such accolades by saying that He died on the cross? God is invisible and has kept that profile. God would
