Joshua

Few Old Testament saints appear as courageous, noble, and consistently faithful to God as Joshua, son of Nun. His original name was Hoshea, but Moses called him Joshua (Num 13:16), which means “the Lord saves.” He was from Ephraim, one of the most powerful tribes of Israel (Num 13:8). Joshua has much to teach us about what it means to faithfully serve the Lord over a lifetime.
