TALE OF OBLIGATION - El Quana L Johnson

    Tales

He stood tall over the blue shadow lake with his hand in one pocket and the other hand smoking a cigar laced with a vanilla taste, asking himself what he just did with blood dripping from his white jacket. Tale began asking questions at the lake, but at the same time, he began looking puzzled as to why he was asking questions from a lake. So as the day continued on, Tale was still sitting and staring at the lake, confused about the shame that he had caused on his family. He took another strong pull from his cigar as if he had been in a war by himself.

Taking a life is the last thing that I wanted to do. But the world is full of angry, unstable people, and I need to feed my anger of disparity.

What do you mean that you need to feed your anger?

That is what I said—to feed my anger. I have been waiting long enough, and the feeling of destroying all of the persons that are causing havoc will become lodged into the ground for life.

Finally, Tale had decided to leave the lake after spending the entire day at the lake waiting for his weapon to be formed, but he was still fighting with his inner self about him being the chosen one to do this job.

While walking back to the house with a disgusting look on his face, Tale began to notice that Obligation continued to fester within him, so he stopped in the middle of the street. Obligation continued to remind him that they were one and it must be done.

Why do you keep saying this to me? I do not understand your rumbling voice and disturbing way of looking at me. Stop it, stop it. Get out of my head…

Tale, do you not understand what we must do to make us feel good?

But, Obligation, if killing someone would allow me to feel better about myself, I must do what makes me feel better. Obligation, I must admit that I am becoming more and more unraveled, and to see ignorance partake in my everyday life seems to have my mind split in half.

Entering the house in a blank state, he dropped his paper down on the flat surface that sat adjacent to his bedroom.

"The apartment is dark, to which I like it to be. That is where I do my best thinking. The only thing to do is sit and make a strong cup of coffee.

"Maybe I should sleep on these monstrous thoughts, or maybe I should just ignore the fact that the plan has been set and the weapon that I have decided to bring back home with me. Maybe I should turn on the TV to keep me from thinking about what had I done, but they say when you murder someone for the first time, the next would be easy.

TV and coffee seem to be the answer. I will take my shower in the dark. Can you take a seat while I take my shower? We both can’t be in the dark, manifesting together. Besides, aren’t you supposed to have my best interest?

Obligation spoke, Okay! If you say so. Then I will go to the kitchen to make us some dinner. By all means, knock yourself out.

Tale began showering, and those unwanted thoughts became stronger. I cannot take this squeezing in my head, so tight I began to pass out. 2:00 a.m.! What happened? Where did the time go? How long have I been out?

Really, Tale. Stop playing these stupid games and begin preparing yourself for tonight’s event.

Why do you continue to keep reminding me of these wicked games?

You are not backing out of its deeds, are you?

To my unexpected agreement with you, it must be on my time, not yours, okay? Until then, I need to get back to sleep! Work in the morning knowing that time of day is being spent coffee-drinking, cigarette-smoking with insane office people.

Obligation said, Aww, the smell of fear from my delighted friend Tale.

Shut up with your incepted jokes. Smiling, Obligation was creating an unhealthy situation right about now. Someone is at the door. Can you please go handle that situation for me?

Obligation said, Sure. This could be our first kill.

    What? Are you crazy?

Yes. We must not wait to do its work, and it must be done now!

I am not going to do its work, as you keep saying.

They began to tussle between the bathroom and the kitchen. The only problem was that he was fighting with himself in the apartment, and the bell continued to ring. Obligation was trying to run and open the door because the thirst and the thought of killing a person will feel great. He was fighting Obligation to not open the front door.

We do not have a plan! If we are going to kill the person that is behind that door, are you going to be able to clean up the mess? Then you will have the police hanging around my place. Please think about it! Slam! Tale took Obligation down to the floor, and the bell suddenly stopped ringing.

Why did you stop me, Tale?

The only way that I could stop you from turning my apartment into a bloodbath. Now get yourself up and leave before I make you my first victim.

You cannot kill me. I am your reason for living.

I get that, but this is not the way to do it! Obligation turned quiet. Tale threw himself toward the couch and took a deep breath.

I mean, maybe I am not the chosen one to do its work, or maybe it is supposed to be Obligation’s rights to the passage and I’m supposed to be his muse. Sitting again with this ugly hard-boiled look on my face as my coworkers pass by, pretending to accept me, I know better to believe that enjoyment. Here she comes, my first suitor—White woman with blond hair and green eyes. Oh, what did you expect? A flawless creature?

The blonde woman comes to tell me that she is going to the ladies’ room. Why are you telling me what you are going to do? I should just maul your ass in the ladies’ room. There you have it. My first killing, though, just came to life.

There must be something about your victim before you can take their last breath. There you go, Tale. I see that you have come to your senses about becoming its trooper.

Haha, not so fast, Obligation. While you are standing over my back being distasteful, as usual, how about you just go and grab us some black T-shirts and some gin?

That sounds not so good, but I will go and retrieve these items.

Thank you, Obligation. I will need a clear head while I fantasize about my first killing.

I continued to sit at my desk, watching every moment of the blonde, which brought more hatred to my soul; and my hands began to clam. She has to leave the office, leaving me with growing thoughts of smothering her distasteful body.

    Can I help you, ma’am?

"Why, yes. I am trying to find Ms. Ah,’’ the lady with blond hair and green eyes said.

My heart begins to take a fast beating because of the description that was just described to me. Maybe I should draw up my plan to kill the woman that continues to turn me uneasy, or maybe I should allow Obligation to just decapitate the blonde without any hesitation. There she goes, walking out of the kitchen. She is always trying to make herself irrelevant.

Tale, you should not focus on the description of the person but focus on their actions that make you want to slice their neck.

Contemplating the evening, Tale was left alone to think more about what he was going to do when it’s time to take a life. Do not expect me to have a good outcome!

Meanwhile, the day was winding down, and I had been asked to help with an assignment. Suddenly, I noticed that I was becoming a bit unraveled by the nerve of this person. Ring, ring, ring, ring!

Pick up! Obligation! I am having another attack, but this time, the woman has red hair with two big front teeth. Growing tired of this mental cage that I have been put in.

    Hello. What’s wrong, Tale?

Didn’t you just hear anything that I just said to you?

    No! Why?

Well, I am going to kill tonight. The mercy that I have on her is not going to save her. If you are ready, then we will kill tonight to ease your anger. Tale gets in the car, just leaving work angry. All you can hear is What is wrong with Tale? He seems to not be himself lately.

Just by hearing those twisted words made me bite down real hard, and I cracked my teeth. Driving slowly down the highway, there I was, changing directions to head to the redhead woman’s house. I knew the address to her house. Little did she know, she was going to be killed before 8:00 p.m. tonight.

I didn’t let Obligation in on my major plan. He just knew that my agenda was to go after the blonde, but there’s a change of plans. This redhead needed to be taken out. She will no longer be able to use people. Maybe she would buy herself some lunch instead of slaving the other big-tooth woman that cannot speak clearly.

There you have it. Redhead continues to use people to buy lunch, catering to her whining needs. The moment of fear started to get intense, and I started feeling angry and strong. I must get this over with.

Slowly, I pulled into an empty, vacant lot where I could not be noticed getting out of the car to walk toward the redhead’s apartment, where I was ready to use the weapon that was given to me. As I got closer to the door, I noticed the police and the ambulance truck there, so I immediately ducked behind the trees to see what was going on.

As I was ducking behind the tree, I saw that the redhead was lying on the ground, gutted straight down the middle with her two front teeth dispensed from her mouth.

Obligation, where are you? I need you to meet me at the redhead’s house.

What do you mean meet you at the redhead’s house?

Just get your ass here now!

Well, I am here now. Right behind you.

What the hell are you doing here?

The same reason that you are here—to kill Ms. Redhead. Aren’t you?

Yes, I was, until someone else had gotten to her first, which made me feel more disgusted that I wasn’t able to kill her myself.

Obligation and I began to process this picture of the dead woman with fulfillment. Obligation and I left with a frowning face. To put so much into killing my first person only became a disappointment for me. I am sitting here in the bushes thinking of my next plan, which is to go find another redhead with the same behaviors as this woman and kill her. It seems as if I already killed, so the feeling of fear had already left my body. Come, Obligation! I’m heading by the bar to have a few drinks. It’s well worth it, then maybe you will not screw up the next assignment.

As we are sitting at the bar, another blonde comes in. Without a doubt, I feel that it’s time that we dismantle her now! Obligation went to the restroom, and that is when I decided to follow the blonde to the back of the bar. I began small talk with her.

So what is your name, little lady?

    Lauren, and yours?

    Tale.

That is a different kind of name.

That is because my adoptive parents named me that when they picked me out of an adoption catalog. You see, I never knew my real parents. For some apparent reason, I was told that they couldn’t afford to take care of me.

    So sorry to hear that.

No need to feel sorry for me. It’s just another reason to live as a rebel.

Very pleased with your attitude. By the way, I just live across the way from here.

Me, the other side of town. Just me and my apartment. How about a drink? Bartender! Two double shots of your hardest vodka.

I see that you are a gentleman.

    When I want to be.

After three rounds of shots, I then ordered food for the both of us. I do not know where Obligation went off to, but I’m doing just fine. I’m thinking to myself: we are having dinner, and Lauren is just enjoying herself. She has no clue that this would be her last meal because the death penalty has been decided.

The night was just about to come to an end. Just when we finished up our dinner, there was the invite to come over. Lauren and I began walking out of the bar toward her place. It was a bit chilly, so I wrapped my arm around her just to keep her warm. We continued to walk to her apartment.

Oh, let me get my keys.

Sure, no rush. I am right here with you. They then walked up the stairs.

By the way, I have a chilled bottle of red wine just to cap the rest of the night off.

    That sounds great!

The night had been going as planned, but Lauren was not aware my motives of killing her would be more painful for me than her. So I took one sip and glanced over at Lauren as she was connecting with my cherry-red eyes that were looking strangely at her. I began to lean over and sneak a kiss, but to my surprise, Lauren must have been reading my mind because her lips were already planted on my lips.

I had to act as if I wanted her so that she would not suspect my evil plan to kill her. Stop fighting this, Tale. This must be done now! While locking lips, my print began to rise. I can’t believe that my nature was getting aroused for Lauren!

Lauren then noticed the print from my pants harden, so she began to rub my manhood. I motioned to rubbing her perky breast, hearing her moan when I am rubbing her erects tits. Lauren, your smell is impeccable. It began to get hot and steamy. She unzips my pants and began to pull out my nature to put her wet mouth on my nature. For a Caucasian to have a twelve-inch penis always gets me.

She says, Tales, your manhood is much endowed. So they say. Yes, now the real work begins. I am taking Lauren’s clothes off, but at the same time, I was wondering who killed the redhead before I got to her. I find it very strange that Obligation has not come back to the bar. Oh well, let me finish this night off!

My hands were down Lauren’s pants. The feeling of her wet cream of nature is showing me much appreciation. Now that we are naked, I began stroking her cream a little harder, and she replied with a loud moan! Tales! You are making me feel real special with you inside me! The feeling is mutual as I was climbing on top her and motioning toward her mouth so that she could taste my miracle.

There’s the need to bust off, but I will not bust too fast. Women do not like a quick ejaculator. We were kissing, grinding, and moaning so hard that it almost
