About this ebook
Jump into a work of fiction revealing truths through a flight and secret missions of three siblings. It takes a leap of faith and unraveling Psalm 91 as the key to hope. Their assignment is to expose evil within the Corporation that controls life under the Dome and to bring deliverance. The Defenders and siblings coordinate their efforts using their unique talents and perspectives along with the Family Bible in awakening the people from the illusion of living free, but not actually being free. The rescue mission blossoms into a commission to bring a lost world to Jesus, offering salvation and healing, helping society find their voice, providing support to overcome corruption, and shepherding a Remnant to a promised land where freedom can be lived out as it was meant to be. Midtown, a pit stop for flights, is where mystery and much intrigue takes place. Their journey begins with the jump from an airplane and leads them to a fresh start in a new age of Believers.

Author’s Note
This is an inspired work of fiction to reveal truth. You will find by reading this book that the Holy Spirit is truly a helper, guide, and encourager. The Holy Spirit has guided me through this writing process. The story is a product of a dream given to me. Feeling compelled to document the dream and then led by the Holy Spirit to keep writing. After a week of typing nonstop, I questioned what I was doing, if the story would pique interest. My husband proofed my first few chapters and encouraged me to continue to see where the story line would take me. The story unfolded as I typed; having no idea where it was going, there was excitement as each page came alive. My Bible is always left open at my desk. Encouragement came when the Holy Spirit led me to scripture that flowed into the narrative of the story. Things were going smoothly until doubt crept in again; a need for confirmation to continue was on my mind. To my amazement, the Holy Spirit revealed an answer through a prophet I listen to; she used the word jump in an awkward way. It was clear to me, the Holy Spirit had her use the word without her knowing why. My confirmation to move forward. A few days later, doubt surfaced again, the same questions nagging me; after all, I have never written a book before. Following my daily routine of listening to prophetic voices, one used the word dome , which is the location of my story. It was an unusual word to be used for sure. I was pretty confident at that point I was hearing from the Holy Spirit. To make it perfectly clear to me, He gave another word the same day; once again listening to a prophetic voice, the word jump was used twice in an uncharacteristic way. Confirmation, yes, I believe so. It gets better. I finished my first draft that Friday and was celebrating being away from the computer, listening to praise and worship music, when a woman announced her exciting Friday event: she jumped from an airplane for the first time. Now you can only imagine how thrilled I was. That is confirmation on steroids, these are events in my book. One must learn to be still and listen for a word from the Lord. I am grateful that the Holy Spirit is my copilot in this book, and I thank my husband for being my chief editor, collaborator, and my family for their support. I hope that you will jump into this book, seek encouragement, find your voice, and realize your freedom through scripture. With God, there are no coincidences, only confirmation.
Something a little different about my book: there are songs selected throughout. Pause and reflect on them. I would add music to devotions shared with others to enhance the message. During the writing process, out running errands, it seemed that each song on the radio unpacked my story line. Again, I felt led by the Holy Spirit that this would be beneficial in this book. I hope you enjoy reading the story as it unfolds and listening to these inspiring songs. Thank you.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 91
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The LORD says, ‘I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.

Chapter One
People live under a Dome atmosphere that could be considered the size of a small country. Big vast land, but small in comparison to the globe. When you grow up in an environment like that, you don’t consider how small it is. It’s just your existence. You don’t really know to ask questions about what is beyond the Dome. For those who had questions about what is beyond, the answers were always given: you can’t survive out there. What does that mean? That’s not a complete answer. Is there life outside the Dome? Are there other Domes with people living in them? Where are they? How big are they? So many questions and no one to give answers. And if they do give an answer, the Domes are there for your convenience, it’s for your safety, it’s for your own good.
To limit transportation, there are few vehicles, but there are planes to transport people from one city to another that are separated by vast dry wilderness. Electric vehicles don’t travel well over rough terrain and lose power before making their destination. The cities are maintained at a certain size so that everyone can move about and function with ease, a controlled environment. There is a pocket of lush green space with trees and streams that may be considered a park and always referred to as The Park with restricted access. There is vast distance between any town and the canyons and rivers that protect the entrance to it. No one really knows why such restrictions exist; they just know they are not allowed in. Most people don’t even realize it exists except for those who pay attention when some of the flights fly a little too close to The Park. People are crowded into the cities, mostly because of convenience of the Corporation. Limited transportation means you want to be near work, shopping, and food. Residents are told not to venture outside the city because there isn’t anything there of interest. It’s a wilderness of sorts. They have people consolidated; you could even say controlled. Things have been like this for so long, no one really questions anything anymore. Among the unusual living circumstances, there are also unusual laws set up.
If you have committed a serious crime such as murder or serious assault, you have the option to jump from a plane with no parachute to your death or be confined for life where no one knows if you are dead or alive. The jump could feel like your last attempt at freedom. It’s your choice. The plane jump amounts to a suicide, keeping the hands of others clean. The lawmakers like to think this is a humane way of dealing with justice. Life for a life. But they don’t want to be the ones that take the life, so they let you choose to commit suicide by plane jumping. Jumping over the vast wilderness seems ideal, no burial involved. Nature will take its course.
The plane traveling from the East Coast to the West Coast is at full capacity. They call it Coast, but actually it’s one side of the Dome to the other side. The passengers are told that someone has decided to jump. Everyone is aware of what that means. They have been found guilty of some crime. At first, no one seems to take an interest in who or why. It’s just the way justice is served. The flight is long, so people have an opportunity to mingle and get to know each other while traveling on these extended flights.
Clara is unaware that she is on the flight with her brothers. Curiosity starts to buzz; everyone is wanting to know who is jumping and what the crime was that would bring them to this decision. She is just as curious as the other passengers, so she engages in the questioning. At that moment, her older brother Mitch came up behind her, tapped her on the shoulder, and said, It’s my good friend Nick. He was in a brawl and killed someone. He has been sentenced and made the decision he’d rather jump than face the incarceration of a lifetime. Now leave it alone.
That was a lot of information out of Mitch so that had her attention, as well as what the heck are you doing on this flight?
I haven’t seen you in years, and now suddenly you pop up behind me as if reading my brain? And well, you know that wasn’t enough information for me!
She probed for more details and answers, which was her nature.
Mitch huffed and rolled his eyes, knowing she wasn’t going to stop with the interrogation, so he started in slowly. And that incredible night was revealed. She stated it sounded more like self-defense than murder. But the justice system was corrupt and was notorious for seeking the death penalty despite the circumstances. It was part of the depopulation plans of the powers that be over this Domed existence. Nick was not known by Clara; she wanted Mitch to point him out. She wanted to see if he looked like a murderer or not. As if she could judge something like that by just looking at him. But now, she understood why Mitch was on the flight; he wanted to be there for his friend. Little did she realize that he had bigger plans in supporting him.
She had made her way over to Nick and struck up a conversation about how long he had known Mitch and where had they met, were they close, why hadn’t they met before. She avoided the questions about that fatal night. He explained they had served in the military together and had each other’s backs during tough times. It was a conversation she had never had with her brother. Military service was tough, and a lot of it was top secret so that kind of conversation was not discussed. She chose not to stir up those memories in him; those days were behind him or so she thought. Nick was delicate about what he revealed about those days because he realized she had not heard the stories of their service together. As they continued engaging deeper into conversation, you could feel that there was a connection between them. Was it because he knew he was about to take the big jump? Was it because she knew that about him, and he didn’t know how much she knew was about to happen. That mystery element continued to draw them closer.
Josh, Clara’s younger brother, came up behind her and startled her.
What are you doing on this flight, bro?
He answered her question with a question, The bigger question here is what’s up with Mitch wanting to jump?
Shock flared up inside her. What on earth are you talking about? Mitch isn’t jumping, it’s Nick.
Then why is he packing a parachute?
What?
She twisted around to see what was going on. Sure enough, he was packing his parachute and looking around as if checking off a list in his head. She popped up quickly and made her way to the back of the plane.
What do you think you are doing?
she questioned him.
As he continued to pack, he answered, Look, he has always had my back, and I am not letting him do this alone.
She shot back with What does that mean?
Throwing her hands up in the air, starting to make a scene. He tried to calm her down a bit and asked her to quit making a spectacle of herself. Then pensively, he answered, It means I am going to jump with him so that he doesn’t have to leave this world alone. No worries, I will have my chute, although he will not. But he won’t go it alone.
Again, rapid fire of questions from Clara, Where, how, what?
She couldn’t wrap her mind around what he was talking about, how this was going to work, and why didn’t she know this man that her brother was willing to jump from a plane for before now?
A million questions flooded her mind, and she wasn’t getting any answers that satisfied her. She continued to probe for answers; she was never one to let things go. And where was Josh? Why wasn’t he here to answer for what he knew.
