Sometimes when life is running low

And I cannot understand why things are so,

Walking alone in the midst of sorrow

I learn the answers to all I would know.

Life is a miracle and its mystery.

Believing in God brings peace and harmony.

Awaken one morning feeling tired and blue;

Whole body quaked with raging flu.

My heart is sad and all things look bad.

Sometimes I cry and just sadly sigh.

Not quite sure if I am physically ill,

or is it my soul that needs a heal?

I writhed with pain and guzzled some pill,

but nothing can heal a soul that is ill.

I turn to God and seek shelter

in his wondrous love and care.

He gives me faith and strength

to see beyond the dark clouds of despair.

For only through sorrow we grow more aware

that God is our refuge in times of despair.

When something goes wrong,

Just sing a happy song.

For a song like meditation

Can make your spirit strong.

New Year’s Hope

Each new year

is a new beginning.

A new hope for all being.

Live in the time present.

And by pure intent,

I can make my life different.
