About this ebook

The Bible warns of deceptions. Being deceived in one way or another is something we all have experienced. The Bible has been on this platform of communication between God and man for thousands of years. Like many forms or ways to communicate, there is always something or someone infiltrating that which has been established, making what was meant to be a blessing now turned into an actual curse. Communication has always been essential, something man has always tried to make improvements on, from runners to messaging with flags or smoke to--what we are more familiar with--electronic messaging. Electronic messaging has evolved from the simple tapped-out code across a single wire to what we have available today.

Methods of communicating throughout history has evolved and has had its problems. There are many things that can go wrong when getting our point across, even when we think what is said is straightforward. In communication, words that we hear may come to us perfect in every way but, to our understanding, has gotten misconstrued partially or totally. The Bible has stood the test of time in this respect, so it should not surprise us to see it attacked for its righteous character. The Bible does not leave us in the dark on this subject (Matthew 13:13-15). Our heart naturally has an unhealthy fear of God's word. The Holy Spirit desires to transform this fear into a fear of respect. This takes place in an atmosphere of unselfish love. The cross Jesus has been nailed to proves that untainted communication and pure love does exist still waiting our acceptance.

    Sunday Law - Tom Ogren

    Sunday Law…Faith Yet Unseen

Faith has revealed in Genesis chapters 5 through 9 the history of this world around that time the fountains of the deep (were) broken up and the windows of heaven (did open). And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights (chapter 7 verses 11–12). And after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated (chapter 8 verse 3). This story in Genesis goes so far back in this world’s history that time has done its best to erase all evidence and reality of what really took place when the flood waters covered this earth. Much of such an occurrence is unseen because time has allowed certain evidence to be spoken to fit multiple theories with a specific scientific narrative. The evidences found in fossils, layers of compacted rock formations and sediment; buried life, including animal and vegetation forming large deposits of coal and oil; these are remnants of antediluvian life. But today’s scientific explanation for all this hides truth, making the evidences of a biblical flood less discernable. These flood waters would have wiped this earth off the universal map if it had not been for this promise to Noah. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee (chapter 6 verses 17–18). During this experience, the world was set off its axis, tilting an average of 23.5 degrees, revealing past history of volatile events.

These are evidences, and because these evidences reveal the truths of the Bible, they give spiritual discernment. The Bible is that book that gives spiritual eye sight in all that our heavenly Father would have us to understand. For a hundred and twenty years (chapter 6 verse 3), Noah worked on building the ark, long enough for his fellow antediluvians that didn’t share his spiritual discernment to give their assessment of his labors. For Noah to begin preaching of this rain, water falling out of the sky, something that had never happened, nor in their estimation could happen, was too far beyond the realm of their accepted possibilities. But, as the years marched on, what was this Noah conspiring to accomplish? These are the thoughts of those that have no spiritual discernment in matters of truth and righteousness, where everything is termed and viewed as a conspiracy. Thankfully, there is a way out of this camp where conspiracy theories abound. Surely, the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets (Amos 3:7). God’s secret to Noah was a coming worldwide flood; Noah didn’t keep this bit of information to himself. Out of love and faithfulness, he shared what had been revealed to him.

Similarly, the coming Sunday law has been given the conspiracy label. By far, the laity of the religious world cannot see something like this enacted in a nation where religion has its freedoms. Spiritually, something of this magnitude is thought not possible. It’s no secret; this our Father in heaven has revealed, showing His church in the simplest way possible…by a repeat of history. The book of Revelation 13:11–12 speaks in these terms, And I beheld another beast…and he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him… Two separate powers or beast are mentioned; the first is described in the first half of the chapter; the other beast or power is described in verse 11. The other beast or power is the United States, coming up out of the earth; and had two horns like a lamb, starting out peaceably, acquiring portions of the earth not previously ruled by any major force. But, over time, a change developed, and he (or nation) spake as a dragon. And he (our nation) had power to give life unto the image (Sunday worship) of the beast (verse 15). The dragon or Satan has one purpose, to rid this earth of that one law that got him expelled from heaven. The flood waters brought destruction to this earth. Going contrary to God’s law, enforcing man’s day of worship in defiance of the seventh day as taught in the beginning will bring its own sudden destruction. Is this just a conspiracy theory? Those that personally perished in the flood waters would tell us if they could. Like they, we have one chance to get this right; right now, there’s a door open for our spiritual discernment.

    Mark of the Beast…Sunday Worship

Galatians starts off with Paul in the first chapter being amazed in what direction some in the church had taken, saying, I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:6–7). Jesus is the light for this world and is still with us in word found in the Bible. Our adversary; one that masquerades as an angel of light takes those vital truths found in the gospel and with the help of men presents them where they haven’t the same spirit or message, bringing a different understanding than when first inspired. In this, men and women eclipse what is vitally important, placing that which is spiritually essential out of sight and ultimately out of mind. But none of this is seen for what it is, as the church continues to worship they know not what (John 4:22).

In Galatians 1:8, Paul gives to the church its inspired marching orders—But, though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. If these words do not sound very kind and loving, it’s because our sympathy is for another gospel. What Paul is saying is so important that he says it again in the following verse. By definition, the gospel is a message of good news. Another gospel would mean a different message—removing the good, inserting that which sounds good, voiding God’s spell. Men masquerading as angels of light bring in elements of pretentious love and acceptance with this so-called gospel, in hopes of presenting the true gospel in its worse possible light. This next verse is like the last one where we might be saying, Where is the love in that? Paul continues, For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ (verse 10). Paul would not have made a very good politician, and for this, we are eternally thankful—Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them (Matthew 7:20). The ruling ministries of late has always put forth that facade of love and acceptance toward those willing to placate the church.

Similarly, what has taken place in the church is now being played out in politics and our ruling government. Our nations Constitution is a godly document, and it has been thus for hundreds of years. For these hundreds of years, the church has been successful in promoting this gospel that Paul would call a perversion. A perverted gospel accepted by the masses all because today’s ministry has other men to appease; therefore, they are not the servants of Christ. The success of the church in giving worshippers another gospel has laid the foundation for the attack on our nation’s Constitution. What is spoken of and paraded as our Constitution so effectively of late is a perversion of what this nation was established on, leaving us with no meaningful Constitution. The church, those who pervert the gospel are the loudest in raising their voices in concern, letting it be known what is taking place with our dwindling rights, as freedoms head for that slippery slope. There are politicians in government, those who do not seek to please men, they are represented in the worst light as ones that are insurrectionist while standing up for the words in our Constitution.

In our nation’s Bill of Rights, it is recognized that our freedoms come from our Creator, not from man. Here can be seen the real reason for this effort to set it aside, to make the Constitution another document where words mean nothing, where law and order and freedom to communicate are taken away. The Constitution can be done away within our nation because the gospel could be done away within the church. These may be hard words to hear because we love our church, but we also see what’s happening to our nation. There is cause, and we are witnessing the effect. What’s waiting in the wings is a national law promoting Sunday worship for a morally bankrupt nation. The papacy acknowledges the part it plays in bringing about Sunday worship; it is their mark. They say it was their authority that brought this change from seventh day to first day worship. A conversion to the true gospel will bring true spiritual healing. The church that has no love for the true gospel has no love for Christ nor the Constitution, and therefore is not a servant of Christ.

    Our Nation/Church Revisits History

There is something taking place in the church that few want to talk about, thinking that in time the struggle will work itself out in the final victory as Revelation describes. And to top all that, we have been told through our misunderstandings in men’s sermons that we win in the end, and so by our faith we are willing to leave the details up to God. In our churches today, we are being groomed in likeness to the days leading up to the birth of Jesus, where the masses were groomed to have nothing to do with the humble manner in which Jesus entered this earth, along with their instilled expectations in what Jesus would do once here.

This is what faith teaches as it comes to us through the pages of our Bible and how it should be applied in the time which we live, so history will not repeat itself in the person of our faith. When Jesus began teaching, the unity of His disciples with the unity of His ministry was something that Jesus had been constantly working toward. It should be no different today. As was the case when Jesus walked among His wayward church, there is disunity existing in our day all throughout the churches. The words spoken to those in His church—Behold, your house is left unto desolate (Matthew 23:38)—were certainly words that were not appreciated then, nor would these words be appreciated today. When we hear words spoken to bring the church into unity with the teachings of the word Jesus left us, human characteristics being what it is, similar to that of sheep, both have a tendency to join the crowd or follow the herd. As we would get acquainted with what the Word says, we see in these stories many examples of those of faith who did not continue to follow the crowd. Saul of Tarsus is looked upon as one with amazing determination and drive in the church he once viewed as the church of God, until he personally sees Jesus on the road on his way to Damascus as there were men and women, he might bring … bound unto Jerusalem (Acts 9:2).

They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine (Isaiah 29:24). Saul, in his conversion as he saw the truth of the gospel as never before, is one who erred in spirit and came to a born again understanding of what constitutes truth, as he has seen it in Jesus. Saul, as he has been known, becomes a new creature in Christ—in the Bible now referred to as Paul. Paul is a good example of one who is not happy in the church with what he has seen in those who walked in the way of their new Master, as he enjoys his high position enforcing the wishes of the Sanhedrin. His murmuring and complaining escalate into asking for authority that he might bring men and women bound unto Jerusalem. Many protestant reformers, prior to their conversion from the Catholic faith, have experienced what Paul now understands and are ready to learn doctrine, seeing Jesus as his first love for the first time.

Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. (Isaiah 29:17–18)

These verses are speaking of those that were like Saul/Paul and the vast number of protestants who have taken their stand as did Paul, outside the organized system of spiritualism, as their eyes and ears were opened, allowing for new understanding. The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 29:19). Meekness is associated with those who are teachable and ready to learn. For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off. That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought (Isaiah 29:20–21). It’s pretty easy to see what these verses are telling us. Today’s society is full of one group being offended over what another group has said, as their word is promoted to be offensive and becomes a snare for him that reproveth. The further our nation distances its selves from the voice of our Protestant roots, the more spiritually minded we have become in noticing the good and likewise the faults of those around us, celebrating the faults and questioning the good.

    Proving Faithful in All Things

Politics first has raised its ugly head in the pure unadulterated atmosphere of heaven. There had been nothing lacking in the surroundings where this first politician matured and honed his craft into the innocent minds of what made up the vast number of angelic hosts. Softly and ever so subtly does he communicate his insinuations to those of his hearers, in clever and indirect ways and in so delicate and precise a manner, which has made it very difficult to analyze, much less to bring understanding description. Sin has originated in and through Lucifer, the son of the morning he was called (Isaiah 14:12). Sin is a mystery, if any reason could be found for sin, where this angel that had already held a position of trust beyond that of his peers, then it would cease to be sin. For those who desired to take the Bible as the expression of all truth, the evidence of our faith is being paraded around us in the mannerisms and pomp witnessed daily in the church where this fallen angels’ characteristics come to life.

Revelation 12 labels this first politician in verse 9. And the dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which decieveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. The same chapter in verse 4 tells us for a fact, his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. This politician had gone door to door to each of the perfectly happy hearts in heaven and speaks in ways that instilled in them, ever so subtly, sentiments of distrust for the One who brought life into their existence. The hearts of his hearers did not know what was in the heart of this first discontented angel; For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him (1 Corinthians 2:11). For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most high (Isaiah 14:13).

What is in the hearts of our elected as they go to serve the god of politics (Revelation 12:9) as they gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood (Psalm 94:21)? These representatives of the people stand in this great republic as the chosen elected to uphold the laws of liberty that this nation was founded upon, the Constitution that brought freedom to as many as entered her domain, only to be transferred to the good of the masses in democratic principles with mob rule. We can’t have it both ways. We are witnessing the fruit of this basic two-party system that we have allowed to control us in contrast to the Voice of Protestantism. Over the years, as Protestantism loses its footing in the heart of the nation, the two-party system has been reflecting the character of its author. One party is working very subtly to control us spiritually, while the other party is struggling to control us physically.

If there is a choice, which would we choose? To most of us, spiritually sounds better than physically because it would invite the God of creation into the picture. It would be nice if that were the case, but to be controlled spiritually would mean that our hearts were open to the laws of God’s kingdom. The way things stand right now, the nation is taking down the Ten Commandments from their public settings, and the church sees in them something that Jesus did away with as He was nailed to the cross. This is the new theology that has given our nation the character that we see today. But this is not the message of hope that permeated the hearts of those reformers who brought to us this great nation through the hardworking sacrifice of all who came to believe, as the Word was presented, Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law (Psalm 94:12). This chastening is to continue into our New Testament experience in the setting of God’s law. For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (Hebrews 12:6–7). In our United States, we elect our representatives, and while some are unfaithful, there’s One that’s gone to represent us before His Father.

    While Identifying as Thee Church

The simple definition of science is knowledge. In this field of the sciences, knowledge will lead us to what is truth. As truth comes to our understanding, it doesn’t mean that we have to submit to what the truth is telling us. Like no other planet with intelligent created life, this planet has matured the art of rebellion, now going on for some six thousand years. In the practice of the arts, the longer one does practice, the better the finished product will generally appear. For all these accumulated years there has been a master at work honing his craft to the utmost perfection, placing his years of acquired skills into the hearts and minds of all, creating the same spirit of rebellion that worked so well with the angelic host in heaven.

As we live out our life on this rebellious planet, there is a force called grace, now desiring to speak with our conscience in ways that inspires us in paths of right, or righteousness. These paths of righteousness are contrary with the total sum of the spirit of rebellion. The term total sum is used because rebellion can use the principles of righteousness when it best serves its intended goal. The Bible suggests the same thing in Genesis 3:5, Ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. This is where we tend to have a hard time, submitting to what the Word says about what constitutes good and evil, witnessed in the Garden of Eden.

We have been created in God’s image, but because of rebellion, we no longer reflect that image that was given to us as our heritage from our Creator. The reason? Not only do we know of good and evil, but we practice good and evil in the form of rebelling against truths that are laid out in science from the beginning of creation. So God created man in His image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them (Genesis 1:27). Truth explains, "And Adam knew his wife; and
