    About the Author

Bits and Pieces of God's Holy Word

This title came to me as I lay in my bed. It sounded so good; I could hardly wait to write it. I am asking God to inspire me in authoring this book. This will be a book containing parts of God's word that will help people who do not want to read the whole Bible; they can get His word out of this little book.

These answers will be found in the King James version of the Holy Bible.

As we all know, the Bible was written by men who were inspired by God to do so. The first five books in the Bible were written by Moses. In Genesis 1:5, we will find out that God created the heavens and earth. The earth was without form. Darkness was upon the face of the deep. The spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, and God said, Let there be light from the darkness. He called the light day, and the darkness night, and evening and morning was the first day. God said, Let there be firmament during the water, so God divided the waters. God said, Let the waters under the earth be gathered in one place, and let dry land appear. God called the dry land earth. There was still more that God wanted to do. I have told you in Genesis 1–10. If you continue to read in Genesis, you will know about the other things God did. You will learn about the seed-bearing plants, trees that bear fruit. Living creatures and birds that fly, livestock. On the sixth day, God created man in their image to rule over the earth and all the creatures that move.

He blessed all the things he had done. God took a rib from Adam and created woman. He put them in the garden of Eden and told them to be fruitful and increase in numbers. He gave them every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth for food. On the sixth day, all the earth and heaven were completed.

On the seventh day, God rested from all His work. He made the seventh day holy. God put a river through the garden to water it. We also know that when God made woman from Adam's rib, He took her to Adam, and He said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh, she shall be called woman because she was taken from man. "For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother to be united to his wife, and they will become as one
