    Introduction

The Lord's desire when He prompted me to write this book is to take the reader on a journey through the history of the Hebrew people from its beginnings so that you can understand how the Lord personally dealt with each of the biblical characters, to train them and create in them the platform of what His people would become. Throughout this journey, you will be able to understand that the same difficulties and weaknesses that these great characters had are the same that we all have today. But I have something special to tell you; God wants to accompany us in the same way that He did with all of them to lead us in a process of transformation and healing of our hearts for the establishment of a kingdom, the last kingdom that is to come and that will be forever.

This book will be a challenge of enormous personal growth for your life because it will take us on a journey through ancient history to present times to affirm ourselves in Him so that we can come to have an understanding of our past as well as of what we are living in the present and of all that God wants for all of us. Get ready, and if you are willing, God shall take you by the hand and show the route so that through His Word, you know the purpose for which you were created because He has designed a good life plan for each human being, and within that plan, He has arranged a special purpose for your life. In such a way that this book will be for each one of you a life process through which your hearts shall become transformed, just as He did with all the people whom He called and prepared in ancient times so that they would be able to fulfill the Lord's designs.

In this book, you will be guided in a learning process for your formation and knowledge of God so that you can recognize a before and after in your life, humbly assuming the beautiful teaching that you are going to acquire, understanding that during the time of learning, it will be a necessary time of preparation for the times to come. The Holy Spirit will use the scriptures so that through the testimony of the prophecy that is in our beloved Jesus, He takes you on a journey into the past to correct the present and bring equipment with the support of our Heavenly Father for what is to come. God is the same as yesterday, today, and forever so that in the same way that He acted in the great patriarchs of the people of God, He will also be by your side, supporting you and inspiring you in this spiritual journey as you progress in reading and understanding these words.

The reading will lead you to understand the struggles of each of the characters studied and how God prepared them to fulfill His purpose. In the same way, if the Lord led you to read these words, rest assured that He has called you to form and affirm you so that you have a special preparation in these times and those that are to come to fulfill His designs and purpose of well-being, blessing, and salvation for your life and that of many others whom He will move you to help. I only ask you to be ready and open your heart and mind so that you can receive all that He wishes to give you because of His infinite mercy.

    Present time

Talking about the times, in the midst of the pandemic that we are living today due to the effect caused by COVID-19, can bring hope and peace to those who are guided by the Holy Spirit, or it can produce affliction, confusion, and fear to those who live according to the world. This will also depend on the spirit that dwells in each life—if it is Jacob (deceiver) or Israel (the one who fought with God and won) that will necessarily change the perception of how we see things and what we should call them.

In order to understand and interpret the times, we must allow the Holy Spirit to bring us revelation and understanding so that He reveals to us the Word according to the times and thus shows us Jesus Christ because in Him is the testimony of prophecy, He is the Word of God. Then the Holy Spirit will give us a vision according to the scriptures of the times: past, present, and future. Because the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever, so we will allow the precious Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth and reveal to us the things that will happen, taking everything from our beloved Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus, and He makes it known to reveal it to us. Because everything of the Father is in Jesus. In Christ Jesus, we have the fullness of all things, including the union of the times, according to the scriptures.

Today, we are living the principles of sorrows, which the Scriptures speak. The whole of humankind is being plagued by viruses. Our perception and vision must be according to the correct spirit. We must learn to call different things with a vision of blessing because the times will be revealed to the will of the Father, times that allow us to prepare ourselves in the spirit for what is coming, changing our course, our way of thinking, and adopting a series of measures, accepting with joy, peace, faith, and gratitude to God because undoubtedly, the world is not going to be the same.

Even the people closest to God do not know whether to be happy and joyful or fear or cry. But we have the conviction that all this that is happening and what will happen, in event after another, like strong winds that rise against humankind in the beginning of pain, knowing that all this is necessary to happen, and so the people of the Lord, be prepared when be caught up in the air by him, and we can celebrate the marriage of the lamb and the supper in the heavenly places because He has promised it. We also have the conviction that we must love His coming, both the rapture and His second glorious coming to earth.

The world seems to go from bad to worse every day. And that there is no way to change it from the perspective of the Word of God. Hence, we must consider increasing the efforts directed at working for the kingdom and make disciples in love and mercy.

Jesus has taught us that in the world we will have affliction, and that we will hear of wars and rumors of war, but that we should not be disturbed because it is NECESSARY FOR ALL THIS TO HAPPEN, but that is not the end yet.

For nation will rise and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be plagues and famines and earthquakes in different places, and all this will be the BEGINNING OF SORROWS, then they will deliver you to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of my name. Many will then stumble, and will give themselves up to one another, and will hate one another. (Matt. 6:6–10)

All these things were announced to us by the Lord to learn about the SIGNS OF THE TIMES in order to be able to identify a series of events that will be the BEGINNING of what will happen, the great tribulation.

Jesus Christ not only warns us of the signs of the times, but also, in the face of this series of events, He prepares us in advance with a word of consolation and strength, by affirming, SEE THAT YOU ARE NOT TURBED and that these things I have spoken to you so that in me YOU MAY HAVE PEACE. In the world you will have AFFLICTION; but be of good cheer, I HAVE OVERCOMED THE WORLD (John 16:33), and that in all these things, we are more than conquerors, through Him who loved us (Rom. 8:37), and that we can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth us (Phil. 4:13). So the believer will not be able to rebuke famine, war, or disease, of which Jesus Christ himself warned us would necessarily happen (Matt. 24:6), but we can remain above all those things united to Him.

The nation of Israel awaited the Messiah to free them from the oppression of the Roman empire. Today's evil hasn't changed much since then. Even so, our Lord, when He came into the world, did not seek to transform the rulers, nor did He seek a political position; rather, He said, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's (Luke 20:25). Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you (Luke 6:27). With these foundations, many Israelites—mainly the Zealots, a revolutionary group that awaited the liberation of Israel—were disappointed in him.

The work of the kingdom then, it seems that it is not to try to promote new laws or to seek political power. In the times of the Lord, He attracted those most lacking in moral values. Jesus did not meddle with politics or with their rulers. There is no barter for grace.

When government meets kingdom, power is sought, and grace is left. When the church tries to unite with the state, it tends to exercise power rather than dispense grace.

When the church believes that it has to set the rules for the rest of society, it deviates toward fundamentalism and Pharisaism, against whom Jesus warned.

We must understand that the moralists—in whom the spirit of religiosity operates—were the ones who asked for the death of Jesus.

Jesus taught us that the kingdom of the father could coexist with the kingdom of the earth. In fact, Jesus Christ himself submitted to the authority of the kingdom of the earth of a pagan government, He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth (Isa. 53:7) The prophet Daniel worked for two pagan governments.

Paul never attacked the pagan immorality of his time or of the authorities; he only dedicated himself to exhorting the members of the church for actions such as murmuring and others. Jesus never focused on or lashed out at the pagan kingdom, but rather on the kingdom of his father.

Jesus called to love our enemies. In these times, we have seen our societies split between conservatives and liberals, socialists, progressivists, etc. A struggle between those who are in favor of life (pro-life) and those who are in favor of abortion, egalitarian marriage, for example. Hence, many believers see many political leaders as their enemies, as is the case of Argentina, Mexico, the United States (Republicans and Democrats), etc. It is not about promoting kingdoms here on earth.

Whatever the strong wind that blows around us, our gaze cannot be fixed on such events, but on the Lord because only united to Him will we have peace and win.

We must have the ability to learn and unlearn and allow God to show us all that He has budgeted for us in his kairós (in ancient Greek καιρός to refer to the eternal present of God), be teachings and blessings. First, we will see how He changes our name so that we begin a new chapter in our lives and a new walk, recognizing Him in all our ways so that we will understand that we exist in a natural world, but surrounded by the supernatural of God with a transformation that operates from the inside out, quite the opposite that happened in ancient times where the most holy place was inside the temple and began by ordering the outside to enter the inside. Today the Lord visits us from our interior (our most holy place) to our exterior so that the transformations take place there first, ordering our hearts, and then ordering everything outside and also our circumstances.

    Name Change

In Jacob's time, God changed his name from Jacob (which was the name of fallen nature and meant usurper or deceiver) to Israel (which meant, he who fights with God or the one who walks with God). With this, God first changes our nature, giving us a new life and new birth in our spirit. We could say by placing it somewhere in our heart. In the same way, God will do it with us from the precise moment we receive His beloved son Jesus Christ in our hearts and allow Him to enter our life; with it, we participate in a new life, a new vision, and perception of the spiritual and material world in which we live in order to understand the spiritual designs of God. Let's see that, in those times, "And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him. And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel." (Gen. 35:9–10).

    Change in Perception

    The scriptures tell us,

And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also. And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin. (Gen. 35:16–18)

From here, we remember the ancient prophecy, which told us of the birth of the King, which reminded him of King Herod, and he annoyed ordered to kill all the children for fear that they would usurp His kingdom, But you, Bethlehem Efrata although you are small among the families of Judah, out of you will come the ruler of Israel (Micah 5:2).

Rachel was the woman whom Jacob loved and not Leah she was Jacob's favorite wife, but she was an idolatrous woman who liked other gods. As the scripture indicates, when they go halfway between Bethel and Efrata (Bethlehem), which means House of Bread (Bread is the Word of God), Rachel gave birth to her second son, but she had a bad delivery, so much so that she passed away and gave her son Benoni (son of affliction or son of my sadness), for what he was going through.

Rachel died, for having a death decree from Jacob, for having stolen idols from the guardian gods of her father teraphim. Jacob who was not aware of this action of his wife, considered that the offense was worthy of death. The law said that if they had idols, death would come. Rachel was an idolater, and Jacob declared death on the person who had stolen the idols without knowing that it was her.

Raquel represents everything that we love instead of God; it even represents idolatry, which could be money, work, a car, or anything that takes away that special place from God in our hearts.

Jacob changed the name of his son, Benoni (son of sorrow or son of affliction), to Benjamin (son of my right hand or fruit of my labor). In order to CHANGE and CALL different things, instead of BENONI for BENJAMIN, we must be clothed with the spirit of ISRAEL that God puts in me, instead of JACOB, in other words, have God by my side.

Need to Be Codependent on God

When we act like ISRAEL, it is when we live or fight with God by our side, in dependence on God, united and clothed with the power of His strength so that everything will go well for us, and in Christ, we are more than conquerors. Depending on God, He builds, protects, and provides.

Impossibility of Becoming Independent from God

When we act like JACOB, it is when we walk under our own criteria or in the criteria that today offers the new age (New Age), which come from the east, such as positive thoughts, channeling of energies, meditation, yoga, who seek to find internal strength, kundalini, "qi (also known as ch'I," is usually translated as vital force) like the Shaolin monks who seek internal strength (base of the Star Wars movie, May the force be with you), and thus create a spirit of independence from God to make themselves gods or self-sufficient.

This is a Jacob in disguise. That is to say, a deception of Satan, which tries to make you believe in your independence from God so that you can live according to your own criteria, isolating yourself from your creator under the premise of self-sufficiency, with which our ego and pride tend to magnify and, of course, end up isolating ourselves from the Creator because such mental strengths prevent the light of the Lord from shining within us. In many of the cases that we have observed, it has been possible to analyze that self-sufficiency is caused by emotional wounds such as abandonment or loss of the father, which causes injured people to develop internal structures of thought based on self-sufficiency, usually self-taught, and who assume the role of the father in the family environment, with a strong trait of codependency, which are cycles of dysfunctional patterns of behavior and dysfunctional thoughts that produce pain and are repeated in a compulsive way in response to that absence of the father, which will ultimately affect their later relationship with the Lord as our Heavenly Father.

When we understand that only being united to Jesus Christ and being clothed with the spirit of ISRAEL, not with that of Jacob and recognizing that we walk with God by our side, and in total codependence with Him, it is when we will be able to overcome, and it is properly in that moment when we can change the name of things. And although the princes, governors, and the hosts of evil come to create iron structures in the spiritual airs—as they did with Daniel to prevent the archangel Gabriel from coming (to bring the revelation of God)—we can tear them down and declare the open heavens in our lives and to be able to see what He wants us to see, ceasing to call the things that happen in the natural world negatively or the pain that we go through in order to be able to call them according to the principles and designs of God; understanding that from the negative, God will always bring the positive into our lives (because all things work for the good of those who trust in Him).

These spiritual iron structures, raised by the spiritual principalities of darkness, coupled with self-reliance, ego, and pride, are strongholds that impede God's approach to our lives so that He can give us His revelation and direction.

After that, Jacob buries his wife, Rachel, and as a token of his love for her, he erected a commemorative column over her grave. In it, Jacob showed that the person buried was very important but not transcendental.

Just like Israel did, we, too, must learn to bury the Rachels so that we can BURY the concepts and beliefs that we may have that can usurp God. Everything that can be idolatrous, such as knowledge and the ego, that makes us believe that we are independent or very capable, money, talents, objects, etc., that allows us to believe that we can overcome things without the help of God, in self-sufficiency and total independence and not giving them the necessary transcendence because I am replacing it with absolute dependence on God the father.

    THE CREATION

God will always be the beginning and the end

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This is how the Bible begins in the first book of Genesis, so we understand that God is the beginning of everything.

    Adam

On the sixth day, God creates man in His image from the dust and breathed the breath of life on his nose so that he may rule over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, over the beasts (referring to wild animals and not beasts that we will talk about later) in all the earth, and in every animal that crawls on the earth and, in this way, give man the governance of His creation. And God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it up and keep it.

And God said that it was not good for the man to be alone and made him a helper suitable for him. Male and female he created them. And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." And Adam and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. (Gen. 1:26–27; 2:16, 23, 24)

Because to govern, you must be naked.

We were created by God to live in nakedness, which implies being transparent, crystalline, and pure, with a clean heart, toward ourselves, our fellow men, and toward God in perfect communion with Him (because God is Light and in Him there is no darkness).

God created every animal and living being on earth, and on the sixth day, He made man out of dust in His image and likeness as a special act different from the rest of creation, which breathed the breath of life into his nose, imparting life to him and breath, which means that human life is superior and is in a different category from the rest of life forms because divine and human life have an unequaled relationship. Faith, obedience, and love are in the middle of this special relationship. God created man and woman with that nakedness or with that purity so that they could live in freedom through faith and obedience with a transparent and crystalline heart because, from there, life flows, and if there is something that God asks of us, it is a clean, crystalline, and transparent heart. A clean heart, which reflects the order and harmony of God's creation, both in the garden and what is deposited in the heart to lordship and rule in harmony as the Creator intended.

The Word shows us that he did not have the ability to understand the entire dimension of God's plan, His thoughts and ways, and obedience.

Later, man, due to disobedience, fell prey to Satan's plans of destruction. Because he put in his heart through the woman, that they could be equal to God, and that they would not die if they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because there, the spirit of Greece or the spirit reasoning and knowledge.

A knowledge that provoked disobedience to God since with that it put in the heart of the woman that God was unjust and selfish, and with it, death entered because they decided to believe the spirit of Greece and not God, giving the darkness a right to corrupt the heart of the human being. Because of the breaking of faith and obedience, original sin arises in man and his defeat in the garden, which causes the separation of God and man and the distancing of all the blessings that God had freely given them, causing them to have to strive for everything that God gave them freely before. It is from this moment that Satan works in the heart of man to carry out his plans and works of destruction in this special creation of God and to be able to separate man from his creator. But we know that God rebuilds the work He made. For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else (Isa. 45:18).

From this moment of the disobedience of Adam and Eve, the product of the deception of the serpent, it is that the human being loses all attribute and divine right. From this precise moment, they were expelled from Eden, which implies the loss of the right to rule and dominion over all creation, the loss of nakedness and transparency of the heart, the loss of intimacy and communication with their Creator, the loss of the life and from that moment to die, as God warned them (because knowledge does not bring immortality, only God brings immortality).

We know that God expelled Satan and a third of the stars in heaven from heaven and then threw them like lightning to earth, and from there, then, that in the heart of this exiled governor it is to execute an evil plan that is aimed at corrupting God's plan with deception, which is to have a garden that He planted on earth with all the creation full of species of the world, flora and fauna, under the rule and lordship of man, created by God in His image and likeness, counting on a special breath of life, which differentiates him from the rest of creation because man had replaced him in the prominent place on the divine scale.

Hence then, the plan of Satan to want to corrupt the work of God, sowing rebellion in the heart of the human being, which is an abominable act before God, and for that reason, He expelled Satan from heaven with a third of the angels and thus be able to corrupt the heart of man.

It is from the fall and expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden that God with His son and the Holy Spirit began to execute the plan of salvation or of unity again with man to undo the works of the devil that had separated them from them and reconcile the human being with God so that through His son Jesus Christ, an intimate and close paternal-filial relationship can be materialized between the human being and his Creator, as it was at the beginning so that now they would have a relationship of Father and son/daughter. No longer a creation-Creator relationship without any paternal bond but of a son based on love, faith, and obedience. A relationship in which the father will be obeyed, not because of the fear of dying, but because it is the Father who tells us what we should and should not do, and in this way, create a bond of absolute trust, in that what He gives us and what He directs us is good for our lives; this will make the relationship between them close and united by love.

This plan of salvation will be to establish a new bridge, a new union, that unites its creation and its creator, in a revelation deeper than that of the beginning, based on the deep love of God to the world reflected in giving us His son to be offered as a lamb slain in sacrifice and pleasing offering to God and thus demonstrate that He had no conflict with man and that His blood takes away the sin of the world, which is what divided us from Him in a once and forever.

This new relationship is built on the basis of the love of God shown in Christ Jesus and reveals to us the word in action (logos) that is the son or the Word of God so that we understand not with the mind but with the spirit, that obedience, love, and relationship are founded not on the basis of our heart corrupted by darkness, but on the basis of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us to relate to God in the spirit because God is spirit.

We must relate to Him with the faith and perfect love of the Holy Spirit who fills us in His fullness and joy.

We must relate to Him in the love He has shown us in Christ Jesus, a love that is not emotional of our soul or our mathematical mind in reasoning, but in a love that arises from the Spirit. We know that many seek or pretend to relate to God, raising soulish prayers, full of sentimentality or emotionalism. We must understand that it is a Spirit-Father relationship with the Spirit-Son, and that the Holy Spirit, it even joins our Spirit to teach us and even to cry out directly to God with a divine revelation directly from God because we do not know how God thinks, how God feels, and what He wants to do (because we are in a fallen nature). It is then that the love of God from my spirit and not from the soul that drives us and moves us, and that we can enjoy with the fullness of the Holy Spirit, thus developing an unconditional, benign love that does not envy, is not boastful, does not puff up, and does not do anything improper, does not seek its own, does not get irritated, does not enjoy of injustice, the more you enjoy the truth. A love that suffers everything, believes everything, expects everything, supports everything, as the scriptures say (1 Cor. 13:4).

Obedience, the intimate relationship with the father and love, have nothing to do with our emotions or feelings; it has more to do with the emotions and feelings of God.

We must try to enter the path of consciousness, understood as a process, through which we are allowed:

Get to know ourselves better, in our hearts, understanding that the enemy has rights to operate in us with open doors and asp
