Was Jesus's Blood Not Enough?

About this ebook
When Jesus walked the earth, He was "the Word" in human form. His presence represented the magnificence of God's love, voluntarily sacrificing Jesus's sinless blood as payment for our sins. This book, Was Jesus's Blood Not Enough?, is a collection of letters, which served to provide encouragement, love, strength, and forgiveness, showing that God's word is as real as it was when Jesus walked the earth. In a society where communication remains restricted by constantly shortening character limits, our expressions are often quick and short and frequently miss the point. While writing letters appears to be a dying art, some gifts never get old. Letters are far more physical than the paper on which they rest, with expressions of personal information and details, which have had life breath blown into them from the heart of the writer. A letter's heartbeat can be felt over again with each reading. In times when the comfort of hugs is impossible, the encouragement of sincere words can serve as the type of relief that can only touch the heart. This collection of real letters shows how expressions of love based on the Word of God can help others during the spectrum of life's experiences. Whether in times of celebration or appreciation or those marked by fear, depression, grief, or hopelessness, many recipients found these letters to be encouraging and supporting. Indeed, some people carry these letters to serve as armor during times of weakness. What began as a request to write one letter to a man dying of cancer mushroomed into many. Some letters were requested and others sent unsolicited yet all letters were infused with love. It is certain that as you read these letters, you will find some that will touch your heart or could help someone you know. Keishan J. Davis, Esq. Son of the author, A. Virginia Smith-Davis

Letters of Appreciation
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
—Ephesians 5:20
Dear Chucky,
Again, I wish to congratulate you on the momentous occasion of your retiring from 38 years of service with the United States Army. Your accomplishments were exceptional and you are a true role model for the soldiers that served under you. Also, you are an example to all of the young men and women in our family as to what it means to make a career decision and then follow-up with an excellent work record, which was recognized by the general at your retirement.
I got an opportunity to speak with some of the soldiers that served under your leadership. The comments that they shared about working under your supervision were most complimentary. The comments repeatedly heard addressed your focused leadership style and the recognition and support for each of your soldiers’ goals. They felt that you had high expectations for each of them and this motivated them to want to do their best. Everyone also spoke of your warm smile that you seemed to present on a daily basis.
There were many accolades, recognitions, and honors bestowed upon you and your family members during the ceremony. The acknowledgements and gifts that you gave your wife, Linda, and your children Gabrielle and Garrick were heartfelt and loving. You let everyone know that these thirty-eight years of service was attained with the constant encouragement and support from your family.
However, the most profound comment you made to me was the one where you spoke on about your daily smile. You said that everyone always asked you why you wore a smile so often and your reply was that each morning God allowed you to get up you smiled because you felt that the Lord was giving you another day to try and get things right. What a wonderful testament to our Father. As a result of hearing this from you, I was inspired each day I got up and no matter what the challenges appear to be, I thanked God for the ability to have a chance to make this day better than the day before. I have been sharing this with other people and they all agree that this is a good way to bless our Father each morning for the gift of another day of life and the chance to serve Him according to his word.
Thank you for this precious reminder that each day we rise we should thank God for the opportunity to live another day and strive to serve Him better than the day before.
May God continue to bless you and your family and may you continue to greet each day with a smile.
Much Love,
Cousin Virginia

Dear Dot,
Proverb 27:10 says, For better is a neighbor that is near than a brother that is far off.
This proverb truly speaks of you and Johnny. We could not have loved you all more if you were our family. Being in Georgia with few relatives around us, it use to make things hard on us and sometimes very lonely, especially when the children were small. But through the blessings of Christ we have gotten all that a relative could give and more from the friendship of our families. It was worth the
