People Are Ruled through Ethic to Develop and Control - Tommie Simpson Hinton
The Developing of One’s Thinking
The development of one’s thinking refers to the prehistoric days when the caveman thought their aggressiveness toward women would make their women think that they were strong and protective. Even then there was the need to be perceived as powerful, and this power was a way for the species to be viewed as strong. This perception was needed for their counterpart to feel protected within their environment, from wild animals, nature, and other tribes who look to enslave and rule their women and children.
This perception of dominance is one form of thinking that enables one tribe to develop and grow stronger. Their strength was acknowledged through their numbers and the amount of resources, such as food, land, and animals used for food and making clothing and trade, which were some of their attributes for their existence. What truly is the nature of mankind? Is it to be strong? Is it the nature of being in control? Can one exist without the other? As you ponder this and the development of one’s thinking and compare it with the beginning of human existence as far back as the caveman, you will begin to understand one’s own nature.
Why does one person have a million dollars and one has barely enough to survive in America? Is it a matter of race or is it one’s reasoning? Are the cards stacked against one person over another? What are the characteristics of one person’s success over another? Is it because one person is inherently smarter than another? Consider the opportunities in America are afforded to everyone within its borders, so then, what really distinguishes one person’s success over another?
I worked for a millionaire for over fifteen years, and the only thing that separated his success from mine was the fact that he was committed to follow his plan that he believed would yield him his success. While I was spending money on the things I believe would make me happy (i.e., cars, entertainment, food, expensive clothing, and women), he was reinvesting in his plan. Thus, his value was his plan to continuously work it until it yields his objective (goal/desire). This is what separated him from me, and even though I helped him achieve his goal, it did not prevent me from achieving mine (i.e., cars, entertainment, expensive clothing, and women). The only other difference was, while I was consuming my desires which were in endless supply, he was investing in the same values which were his desire to help people improve their lives.
You see, all my interests were his values, the knowledge of knowing the values others would seek out, which provided him with an avenue for his success by investing in other’s consumption. Not realizing that someday, these values would come to an end, not having the resources to maintain these consumptions. Consumptions that anyone could have, including the person I worked for, because while I was consuming values with a return that would not secure any interest with the exception of my own personal satisfaction (i.e., what I believe would make me happy), not a profit that I could possibly retire on with secure happiness for the rest of my life. However, the fear of not knowing when the day that I had to meet my Maker was one of the contributing factors in living life to the fullest with no regard for the latter.
The idea of providing something others could use and being remembered for providing something useful would immortalize one’s presence. Should this be a contributing factor that one could leave as part of one’s legacy? Most importantly, is it something that you believe and value? Remember the caveman, whose contribution was not all positive, however, part of his legacy is his contribution, clothing which was made from animals, which they hunted and kill for food. These were the essentials that each tribe possessed with one tribe possessing more than the others. Even the caveman had some form of bartering such as trading clothing and other items that were valued by other tribes in order to secure a better position for their way of life. Even then the caveman looked for a better way of living.
The truth is people are concerned with living a better way of life, which can be demonstrated through their actions of communicating and cooperating with those who have the same concern. Thus, as long as you think you grow as compared to the seed of a tree when planted, fertilized, and nourished, this growth comes through belief and through strong belief that many things can be accomplished. What are your beliefs? What are your values? How will you benefit from them? Who else will benefit from them? What will you give? These questions will be answered as you read the content of this book.
The caveman history suggests some pondering. What allows one tribe to be stronger than the other? Was it their territory (land) they control? Once inhabited, the tribe would establish their boundaries and as such would protect their surrounding from intrusion through fighting and enslaving those captured. Those enslaved were used to do various laboring task to strengthen their position and convert them to tribal members. This type of culturalization (the transformation and development of one’s thought process) allowed one tribe to develop stronger than the next, depending on the number of conquest by any particular tribe.
Cultivating women and children to their customs and ways was essentially a matter of survival. Not following their ways would mean starving or be in exile in the desolated wasteland or immediate death. It appears that there were two choices, death or conversion. Thus, testing the strength of their values or belief, you see their values and belief were one of the same, even though their values were to be strong and their belief in being strong was put to the ultimate test. This test determines their faith and their ability to adapt and master their situation, thus, creating another value (time) in which to prepare their defense to secure a better position to accomplish their goal and conceive a plan by which they could improve their position and once again become stronger in the sense of their independence.
What will be needed to regain their independence? This question is the most dominant in their mind as they choose time. Why time? To be free, free from their imprisonment, time to keep trying to achieve their plan, time to reflect and find the best ways to free their enslaved children who were being converted and taught the ways of their captors, to be hunters and warriors again developing their strength through conditional control by their captors. Their women were used to make clothing, to cook, and to bear newborn, and even though cave women would have children, there were not as many due to the fertility. Cave women would breastfeed their young. There were no other ways to store milk, and they did not possess the technique for processing milk as we do today with Similac (formula milk) and refrigeration.
Breastfeeding made it difficult to conceive as quickly, due to the fact that breast feeding suppresses mother fertility due to the amount of prolactin (pituitary hormones in the mother blood). As a result of frequently breastfeeding which prevent conception by suppression ovulation making the embryo less likely to successfully implant in the uterus and
