    Let’s be real!

My life story and what God has done for me.

This book is dedicated to everyone who has ever suffered in life through depression, anxiety, loss, pain, sickness, loneliness, feelings of no self-worth, felt lost, unloved, unappreciated, or anything like this.

    You’re not alone.

    A Special Thank You…

    Acknowledgment

My husband Jason for sticking by my side, taking on this life with me, loving me through tough times, and being my best friend. I love you forever and am your wife for eternity.

My children, Katie, Brook, and William, thank you for sticking by my side, helping me keep the house clean, going with me to all the grueling hospital appointments and treatments, helping me do my hair and get dressed, for making sure I was okay, for loving me through all the hard times when I should have been there for you but couldn’t. Thank you for pushing me around the wheelchair and keeping me going. You guys are truly the biggest reason I could never give up. I love you and I am so proud of each one of you.

To Kylee and Nathan, I know I am not your birth mother, and you are newly part of my family. But I want you to know I love you like my own. I am proud of the both of you. I hope for nothing less than for me to be everything you have ever wanted and needed in a mother figure. I know life has been hard in the past for you, but I hope to show you that you are loved. Thank you for being a part of my life and family.

Grandpa Joe and Grandma Barb, thank you for giving me some of the tools and guiding me toward a life of healing and good health. Thank you for never giving up on me and loving me in ways most couldn’t. Thank you for all the times I was lost and broke, helping me and the kids get through it! You gave me a lifetime of love and I am forever grateful! Thank you!

To all the people of the past, thank you for everything. Each word, each gesture, each moment we shared, thank you for the life experiences together. We cried, we laughed, we danced, we sang, we fought, we taught each other things. Good and bad, you were all a part of my life for a reason. I hope you forgive me if I hurt any of you. Just know, either way, it helped us both grow stronger. I forgive you if you did wrong also. Know you are loved.

To my mom and dad, thank you for all the life lessons. Thank you for being hard on me and always expecting better from me and to try harder. I am strong today because of you. I forgive you and love both of you very much just the way you are. I appreciate all you have done for me and the kids over the years. I hope that someday you will see me for who I really am and that my heart loves you deeply.

I know we have had hard times together, and in your eyes, I have let you down. Just remember, it’s all a learning process. I hope you forgive me as well. I haven’t always gotten everything right. I will always love you. Thank you for all of the good and bad. I have learned so much from you and had so many chances and life experiences that most only dream of because of you both. Thank you for teaching me to work hard and never give up.

Senate Eskridge, we met in high school and you promised to always be there for me. Thank you for keeping your promise. You’re one of a kind, and I hold you dear to my heart along with your precious wife, Cari.

To Pastor Bryan Slusher, you were there for me when I needed someone the most during my days of literally walking the streets to find anyone or anything to fill the void in my life—that void being God in my life. Thank you for steering me back in the right direction. I hope you have found your way back to him as well. I miss you, brother.

Stan Sorenson, thank you for bringing the community together to raise money for me and Maria. Your heart and light shines brightly. I needed all the gifts and friendship during that extreme hard time through cancer.

Connie Windsor, you have been one of the biggest reasons I am alive today, always pushing me to do good. Eat good, take my supplements, and do more colonics. Some days I hated it and was stubborn, but you never gave up on me and kept nudging me forward. Somehow, you always knew the right words to say and encouraged me. No words could ever say thank you in the ways you deserve. Thank you for saving me when I only had two weeks left to live in me. You are a very wise woman and a blessing to so many. I hold you dear to my heart and forever in debt to all the love you have shown me. I love you so much.

Sandy Malcolm, in a time of desperate need through the hardest time of my life, you were there for me. You played a huge part in my healing and taught me so much. You helped me to know my gut was right and that I never should be anything less than myself, let alone not be ashamed to be or feel that way. We instantly connected, my sister in energy and healing. The work you do through your massage therapy and energy work is out of this world, and in it, I love how much you helped me grow. You’re the first person I met who had similar gifts, and I felt at home with you. I miss you deeply and hope our paths cross again soon. Thank you for being a healer in my time of need through cancer.

A special thank you to all the angels God sent me to get through this life and through the cancer. You know who you are if I didn’t mention your name. I would be here for years writing names if I say them all; just know you mean so much to me, each and every soul in my life.
