    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

First, I am dedicating this book to my children, Avrohom and Esther, who are very interested in improving the world by making the world a better place to live in and serving as a mentor and leader for others. I am thanking my husband, David, who has given me his unconditional support to advance research in workplace bullying, and who related stories about bullying in his and his peers’ experiences. I am especially thankful to Josie and Liz, who have worked with me endlessly on adding pictures, formatting, and structuring my blogs on social media, and with this I am especially appreciative and acknowledge Shutterstock’s contribution to the pictures presented in this book, which makes this book so unique.

Lastly, I want to thank my friend Maria, who has helped me with every contribution I have done and has contributed greatly to all my successes.

    PREFACE

I write about workplace bullying because bullying has reached epidemic proportions in our workplaces. We need to stop the bullies who control the workplace, to the point of destroying their colleagues’ self-esteem and causing many to leave. It is time to do some self-analysis in our workplaces and to look at any bullying behavior that has occurred there and to stop this cycle. I have seen enough bullying in and out of the workplace and it must be stopped!

I am inspired to do this research on workplace bullying so that we can look forward to going to work and to acting civilly with one another.
