    Adam Saw God's Glory!

    (Genesis 2)

Let us begin with the first chapter in Genesis to learn about love at first sight in Scripture. Adam and Eve were special creations of God who received life as a result of God's incredible creative power. We can read the biblical account of Eve's life (Genesis 2:21–25).

How can we describe their relationship as written in this account? Was any love shown? It may seem obvious from this passage of Scripture just how closely tied these two human beings' existence were. They accepted each other as God's gifts.

God created the woman from the body of the man; they were literally from the same flesh and blood! Adam somehow acknowledged just how close they were (Genesis 2:24).

With all the creatures named and after Adam was put in the garden as a caretaker, God realized that it was not good for the man to be alone. God then decided to make a helper suitable for him. By Genesis 2:21, the first known human bone transplant was accomplished by God, who made a woman from the rib of Adam. God was glorified when Adam said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman for she was taken out of man. We glorify God just as Adam saw fit to show his gratitude. God personally fashioned Adam's body from clay and then breathed life into him and made a human being in the image and likeness of Himself (Genesis 1:26–28).

As Adam continued to see God's glory in creation, he saw the differences in their existence.

The Bible states in many verses that God loves us. Does that mean the same
