About this ebook

Maintaining the seed of God . . . His Word. Am I bleeding to death right in the house of God? Is my seed "stillborn" (no more Word in me)? Have I been seduced and allowed Satan to induce (take my seed) before God has finished with me? Am I "failing to thrive" and have not reached spiritual maturity yet? Am I a "careless carrier" of His Word (His seed in me). If any of these questions concern you, then it is God's will to forgive you and heal you. I want you to know that it is crucial to maintain His word . . . it is your bloodline to eternal life. Do not abort his word . . . Do not abort the ministry, assignment, nor your mandate. God has not been dethroned. Do not let human error, sin, frustrations, trials, or disappointments cause you to expel His seed before He has completed His work in you . . . Maintain his seed . . . His Word is your life. Joyce G. Cherry, B.Th., M.Div., D.Min., is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Greater Beulah Land International Fellowship in Conway, North Carolina. Maintaining The Seed - Joyce Cherry

    Chapter 1

    Spiritual Abortion

Can I really spiritually abort? Yes. Let’s define abort. As we examine the definition (it may be sensitive in the material), we need to be open to the needs of the spiritual man.

Abort means to cut short; to fail to be completed; the expulsion of the fetus (spiritually the Word) from the womb (spiritually our heart) before it developed enough to survive (spiritually take root) (Genesis 3:16; Matthew 13; 1 Peter 2:9; Ezekiel 27; and Isaiah 14).

As you have read the Scriptures, do you see what Satan is working so hard to do? Satan knows it’s his loss and your gain. You must remember that his major goal is to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:7–10; Matthew 13: 31–43). Satan is the wicked one that is always whispering Mayday! Mayday! Abort! Abort! He never misses an opportunity. You see, he (Satan) does not want the Word of life that God has impregnated you to give you life abundantly. Satan knows that the greatest gift of all is the chance you have of eternal life. I don’t think Satan likes to even hear us mention the two words—eternal life. Don’t be ashamed or afraid to say them. Believe them and put your hope in them. Since we know that there is no death in God, but life, then Satan cannot offer life; the only thing that remains when we listen to him (Satan) will result in death—spiritual abortion. So revisit Genesis 3 and understand the whole aim of Satan—to kill, steal, and destroy—which is to make him or her cut short what God had for them by his lying whispers: "Mayday! Abort the carrier now! Abort mission! Come back to base (me) and see what I will give you. Bow down and worship me, for what God says to you is incorrect (Genesis 3:1–3). You just refuse the other voice" because Satan was a liar from the beginning (John 8:44). When you hear Satan making things easier in your decision to sin, he (Satan) is not acting in your best interest but his.

Satan is a deceiver, stealing what the man, woman, boy, or girl has been given from God. Steal the growing seed, prayer life, study time, meditation, learning submission, ability to walk in truth, freedom, fearlessness, and faith. Stop that development stage in understanding the need or desire to fast, learning silence, ridding of judgmental and prejudicial character, poisoned minds, hatred for the brethren (Galatians 6:17) and such the like. Satan lost his position in heaven. So now through deception, he (Satan) is quickening his pace to kill, steal, and destroy—what a persistent fellow. I pray that we will not be deceived by this deceiver. Do not abort what your God has for you. Refuse Satan’s sifting of wheat (Luke 22:31–32). You are chosen! Your seed must survive. Your purpose will not be annihilated. Your position in God will not be destroyed or annulled. Satan cannot stamp "void on your seal. Satan does not have the stamp; it was taken from him at Calvary! (Matthew 27:45–53; Revelation 1:18; John 10:18)! So with the keys in Jesus’ possession, and you having Jesus on the inside (seed in you), then you have the keys," power, and authority to maintain the seed…his Word. Do not abort! Deliverance is certain! Don’t deliver death (Satan’s plea). There is nothing stillborn in God, just life and that more abundantly. Don’t be deceived, tricked, beguiled, bamboozled, undermined, overminded (thinking self-inferior). If you do, you will start looking and acting just like him (Satan) (1 Peter 1:18–25; 1 Timothy 4:13–16; 1 Timothy
