About this ebook

Life is a journey. There have been plenty of times in our own lives where we have felt the need to give up because we have nothing pushing us to continue. Closest friends and family may have turned their backs on us, but there is one person who never leaves us nor forsakes us—his name is Jesus Christ.

Sometimes in life, we tend to miss out on things because of our views and attitudes. We tend to lose focus, take missteps, lose sight of the vision, and we need something to help us get back on the straight and narrow path.

As you read this book, you will receive some insights on some things that I encountered along my own journey.

In this book, you will receive the chance to read my personal testimonies, scriptures that I meditated on, and some questions that I asked myself along the way. You, too, will have the same opportunities to not only answer those questions but to write them down so that one day, you can refer back to them.

This book is designed to help you reset your focus, reflect on your life, refocus on God’s vision and purpose for your life, reevaluate decisions made, and reapproach life with a new understanding, attitude, and determination to move forward.

A Journey to Me - Clenesha C. Richard

    Day 1

    A New Thing

Sweet child, if you only knew. If you only knew that I’m taking you some place wonderful.

    —Christy Wright

Whether it is the beginning of the year, in the middle of the year, or toward the end of the year, God wants to do a new thing. Many times in life, we move forward just to find ourselves stagnant or moving backwards, and it could be various reasons why. Perhaps we are not allowing God to give us the vision that he has for our lives or, perhaps, we are connected to the wrong people, career, or mind frame. Life can be frustrating with no clear direction, so I dare you to ask God to reveal his vision, his purpose, and his calling over your life. No matter your past, God can and will do a new thing in your life.

But forget all that. It is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness, I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18–19 NLT)

    Write It Out

Write about the new things you want God to do in your life. Always pray for his will.

    Day 2

    Come to Me

Life can be tough. In life, you will experience highs and lows, but it is all about the mindset you have when faced with both the mountains and valleys in your life. Many times, we feel that we are missing out because we did not receive the promotion or get the job, house, relationship, or anything else that we have prayed to God for.

Sometimes, missing out on the very things that you wanted is a blessing. You never know what the acceptance of those things could have or would have brought to you. Instead, praise God and thank him for his protection.

Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28–30 NIV)

    Write It Out

Write about some things that you expected God to come through on yet it fell through. Write about how it made you feel. If you are now glad that the plan did not go as planned, write about why.

    Remember

Everything happens for a reason and according to God’s plan for your life.

    Day 3

    He Knows the Plan

With a new season or new year comes anxiety because we want to know what is next. What will the new season bring? Will we prosper this year? Are there any more lessons that we need to learn, or will we begin to step into our destiny? If God has placed something on your heart to start or finish, get the job done. Do not worry about the next steps. Know that God knows the plan, and he will give you everything that you need to push the work forward. The Bible says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be known to the Lord (Philippians 4:6 BLB).

For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

    Write It Out

Silence the area that you are in. Ask God to clear your mind and heart. Pray and ask God to reveal his plan for your life. Sit. Listen. Now, write his plan.

    Day 4

    Put It to
