This devotional is a message for all of us. I was personally facing difficult challenges in my own life and turned to Jesus asking some really hard questions. What I heard back became the basis of this devotional. We all fall short of the perfect walk, the perfect faith, and the perfect wisdom. Do not worry; you don't need to be perfect! God loves you and will supply all of your needs in His time and His way. When you walk with Him, the path is illuminated. This book may help you on your journey of need and supply. Call to Him and He will answer. We all need the precious gifts that our Lord and Savior freely gives. The Journey: Faith, Love, Surrender, and Trust

Faith: Many people wonder how to obtain faith. Simply, pray for it. See yourself in the presence of Christ, and go before Him. Stay with Him there and pray in quiet and solitude. It will become your special place and your special time with Him. It is a holy place where your two spirits unite.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20

Love: We think that we have to try to love God, but our own abilities fall short. We are not able of ourselves to produce that special love. Simply and sincerely pray for the Lord to help you love Him more. He will fill you with divine love. Pray to be aware of this miracle unfolding in your life.

Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37

Surrender: The Bible is a path to the road. Church is a path to the road. The road is complete surrender. We often look for too much of our spiritual path through means other than dwelling in that special place in our souls where we unite with our Lord. That’s where the channels open to let the Lord completely into our lives. It starts in our hearts.

Surrender begins as a decision, an act of will. It is a gift of oneself. It becomes an act of:

Obedience

Love

Trust

Joy

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalms 51:10–12

Trust: Trust that God will reveal to you what is your own will in daily life, and relinquish control to Him, trusting Him. Pray for what you desire, and accept that the outcome is in His hands. Eventually, your desire will become whatever He desires the outcome to be. Stick steadfast to surrender. By offering all to Him, you are willing to let God’s wisdom in your life be enough.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5–6

Divine Joy

God will now be able to send you lessons to teach you how to become His image. Within each lesson is a precious gem to be discovered. That gem is triumph. The precious gems found in the triumph of each tribulation become easier to discover. Imagine the crown of glory crafted with these precious gems of triumph! The pull of strife in this life looses strength. You become armed against evil because evil cannot alter your course. The idea of relinquishing control to a higher power is a difficult concept for many. We are surrounded by the physical world. We derive a lot of comfort from control. Choose to accept that
