Homeopathy is an alternative, complementary, cost effective, and very safe Healing System for infants to old-age. During early period of 20th century, it was practiced parallel to the conventional (allopathic) System. It is widely practiced in Germany, UK, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The classical books on Homeopathy, published before the 1900s, describe often in obsolete medical terms, the theory, philosophy and symptoms of provings (drug testing). They are deficient in application methods to find the correct homeopathic remedy easily. They have little reference to pathological changes in tissues. In practice, different patients express their symptoms in different words, even though suffering from same disease. It is often difficult to find the correct homeopathic remedy, based on the patient's symptoms alone. K. Robinson, MD, a contemporary expert, wrote in an editorial The Cutting Edge, "I suppose, the overwhelming drive in the practice of homeopathy is toward precision in prescribing. Because the accurate prescribing is so difficult, we find ourselves studying constantly, and yet we never feel complete." (J.A.I.H, vol. 79, #1, March, 1986). This book, Homeopathy in Practice - Clinical Insights into Homeopathy and Remedies, offers the practical aspects, and clinical keynotes on remedies related to various illnesses, backed by successful reports, from journals, books, personal discussions and experiences of others. Bruises & Injuries to Face or Eyes

ACON. 30C–10M: It is the first remedy to be used soon after any type of injuries to any region of body. If it fails in providing rapid recovery, follow it with Arn., Hyper. or Bell-p.(67)

Arn. 30C–10M: It removes sore and bruised feeling in eyes after injuries to soft tissues, strain, and physical overexertion. It also relieves tiredness after long travel, and mental effects of grief or loss of job. It is also heals diplopia, paralysis, checks retinal hemorrhage and relieves bruised feeling in eyes after close work. (8) It can be used just to relieve pain or soreness from any cause. (67)

BELL-P. 30C–200: It is the first remedy for injuries to the deeper tissues of eyes involving muscles, connective tissues, sheaths, periosteum and nerves. It is a princely remedy for old laborers, gardeners, football players and boxers." It is an excellent complement to Arn. (8) It can be considered as a deeper and longer acting Arn. (67)

CALENDULA OINTMEMNT OR CREAM: For open wounds, such as scratches, abrasions, burns and cuts, it the ideal healing agent for external use. (67)

SYMPH. 6C–200C: It heals injuries to the facial bones and eyeballs, caused by a fall, hit by a fist or stone, etc. Mr. Mirza, an experienced Indian practitioner said, In injuries to eyes, no remedy equals it. I have observed in facial injuries, in which Arnica helped only in reducing the pain and inflammation but Symph. healed it completely. The facial bones are covered with thin layers of muscular tissues. A facial injury always involves the bones and, therefore, needs a bone-specific remedy, Symph. 6C an higher. It helps the union of the fractured bones in about 2 weeks, which is remarkable, as it normally takes 6 weeks. External application of diluted tincture to the injured region helps in faster recovery. Calculi (stones) in Salivary Glands

BERB. Φ–200C: It is a clinically proven remedy to dissolve calculi in parotid glands, gallbladder and kidneys. It also prevents formation of stones in future. (3, Course-5, CD-2 & 2A)

LYC. 200C–10M: It is a clinically proven remedy to dissolve stones in internal organs, and prevent future formation. Case: A man consulted Dr. Ramakrishnan for stones in his parotid gland. The doctor gave him only 1-dose of Lyc. 200C. During the follow up office visit, the patient reported that after 4-hours of taking the dose, his mouth was filled with sand, which he spitted out, and soon noted that all the stones had disappeared. MEZ. 30C–200C: It is useful for affections of skin, bones and facial nerves, especially around the teeth. It relieves sore and shooting pains, in teeth and jaw-joints with stiffness and sensitiveness to cold air. The patient feels as if cool air were blowing on the affected parts. Case: A woman, 49, developed a stone in her left salivary duct. She came to the clinic because her left cheek was swollen and painful for the last two weeks. The pain extended to the left ear, which was very sensitive to the touch. She felt as if cold wind were blowing on her face. Initially, she saw her dentist who diagnosed it as saliolithiasis. With this diagnosis, she came to Dr. Moskowitz for homeopathic treatment. He prescribed few doses of Mez. 30C. The relief in pain was rapid, the swelling and stone dissipated in few days. THUJ. 6X–200C: It is reputed to soften the pathologically hardened tissues, and remove warts. It helps in more rapid healing when used intercurrently with other indicated remedies. (30, p.310)

Complexion (skin-tone) to Lighten

BERB. Φ–3X: It improves the functions of digestion, liver and kidneys, clears the body of toxins, and brightens up the complexion. (8) (See also Vol-3, under Musculoskeletal Dis., Knee-Joint O-A, for details)

BERB-A. Φ–3X: It stimulates functions of all the glands, improves metabolism and nutrition. It heals acne, removes blemishes, blotches of dry skin, minimizes melanin concentration and, therefore, lightens up the complexion by couple of tones. (8) (See IGN. & IOD., Below)

CALC-S., KALI-M., KALI-S., NAT-M., NAT-S. & SIL. 6X–30X: Dr. Schussler of Germany, had discovered these cell-salts. They improve digestion, assimilation, elimination, complexion, and growth of healthy hair and nails. A combo of each, in 6X potency, can be taken as four tabs, two to three times a day for six to eight weeks. (88, p.170, 188)

CAULO. 6C–200C: It lightens up the dark complexion by couple of tones, removes moles, and freckles on the face especially in women with menstrual disorders and after childbirth. (97, p.232)

IGN. 30C, IOD. 30C: Most of the Asian Indian people have dark-brown complexion. They are very conscious about it. They desire to have a little lighter complexion. One Indian homeopath was famous for improving the complexion with his treatment. After great requests, he revealed his secret. He used to give Ign. 30C and Iod. 30C, 1-dose each on alternate days for four to six weeks. He told me that this treatment lightens the complexion by couple of tones in 80 % of cases. In the remaining cases, these remedies in 200C, each on alternate weeks helped them. (67)

IGN. 200C, IOD. 200C & SARS. 200C: These are clinical remedies to lighten up the complexion by couple of tones. Use each remedy once a week in sequence for 4–6 weeks. (67)

Discolorations or Dark Spots on Face

(Dark-brown Spots, Pink-Spots or White-Spots)

Dark-brown Spots, Freckles, Nevi on Face (Angioma, Birthmarks, Moles)

ALL-C. Φ–3X: About 300-years ago, the famous physician Culpepper, said The juice of red onion mixed with vinegar, applied on the skin removes blemishes, and dark spots on skin. The same dropped into ear relieves earache and noises. (96, p.32) (See also Vol-5, under Skin Dis, Dark Spots, for more info)

ARS. 30C–200C: It is a useful remedy for dark-brown, rough, scaly spots, pimples, itching and burning skin of face. (8) (See also under Complexion..; Vol-5, under Skin Dis., for details)

BERB. Φ–3X: It improves the functions of digestion, liver and kidneys, clears the body of toxins, and brightens up the complexion. (8) (See under Complexion to Lighten up, for more info)

BERB-A Φ–3X: It is a proven remedy to heal the rough, scaly, pimply spots and clear up the complexion of skin by couple of tones. (8) (See under Complexion to Lighten up, for more info)

CALC-S., KALI-M., KALI-S., NAT-M., NAT-S. & SIL. 12X–30X: These cell salts improve digestion, assimilation, elimination of wastes, purification of blood, growth of healthy skin, hair and nails. Try them in sequence or in combination at suitable intervals until satisfactory results. (88, p.170, 188)

CARC. 30C–200C: This powerful nosode remedy is useful in variety of chronic diseases. Dark spots, many moles on skin, and blue sclerotic of eyes are its confirming indications. (129, p.227)

CARB-AN. 30C–200C: It is a clinical remedy to heal acne rosacea, and copper-colored spots, especially on the face.(30, p.491) It is a clinical remedy to heal boils, erysipelas, adenitis, vesicles around mouth, cracking with bleeding of lips, and acne rosacea—copper-colored spots on face, forehead or nose. It strengthens the structure of the skin, and removes the tendency to easy inflammation after shaving or rubbing of clothe edges. (138, Vol.2, p.528)

CARB-V. 30C–200C: In persons with general weakness or even without an apparent pathology, it removes the dirty, lead-like or earthy complexion. It helps in these conditions by improving the utilization of oxygen in the body. Great chilliness, restlessness, acidity and bloating of stomach with gas in are some of its confirming indications. (8; 67)

CAULO. 6C–200C: It is the best remedy to remove moles, and freckles on the face especially in women with menstrual disorders and after childbirth. It also lightens up the complexion. (97, p.232)

Caulophyllin 6X–30C: It is an alkaloid of Caulophyllum roots. It removes the discolorations of face in women with menstrual irregularities. It also helps restore hormonal balance, and regulate menstrual cycle. Dr. Helmuth gave this clinical hint to Dr. E.M. Hale. (119, p.372)

CHEL. 6C–200C: It improves the function of liver and removes yellowish, or dark colored patches, as if sunburnt, on the face, neck and hands. Sometimes, they dark patches are seen intermingled with yellow patches in patients with liver disorders. (31, p.348)

CHIN-AR. 6C–30C & CHIN. 6C–30C: These remedies improve digestive function, act as a general tonic and remove dark-brown spots on the skin. (See Vol-5, under Skin Dis., for more info)

CIC. 30C–200C: It heals lemon-colored pea-sized skin eruptions. (119, p.388) (See under Eczema, for details)

COND. Φ–6X: It is indicated for dark-brown spots on face, especially when painful cracks in corners of mouth are present concomitantly. (73) (See under Generative Organs, Female Breast Cancer, for details)

CON. 30C—200C: It is regarded as the Aconite of chronic diseases. Try it as the first remedy to begin the treatment of chronic diseases of skin. It removes inflammation, and stiffness in the tissues. Try it in discoloration of face. (67;73) (See Vol-1, under Blood-Pressure High; Conjunctivitis, for more info)

Dros. 30C–200C: It is a clinically proven anti-tubercular remedy. Always considered it as an intercurrent remedy alongwith other indicated remedies in stubborn skin discoloration. (See Vol-1, under Digest. Syst., Ulcer. of Stomach; Vol-3, under Musculoskeletal Syst., Caries, for details)

EUPHR. 3X–200C: Consider it for brown spots on face, especially when accompanied by symptoms of disorders of eyes. (30, pp.311, 398; 73) (See also Vol-5, under Skin disorders, Tumors; Warts, for more info)

FERR-PIC. 30C–200C: Consider it for dark patches on face, from accumulation of bile pigments, especially in bilious patients, who always complain of extreme fatigue. It is also an important remedy for corns and warty growths on skin, especially on hands. (102, p.300)

HYPER. 5C, 9C & 15C: In photo-dermatitis, or sunburn, Hyper. 5C, 9C and 15C, have helped more than 85 % of cases in one clinical trial. (See under Flushing of Face, for more info)

JUG-C., JUG-R. & MEZ. 30C–200C: These are important remedies for variety of skin disorders. Consider the for skin discoloration. (See under Face… Eczema; and Vol-5, under Skin Dis., for details)

KALI-I. & IOD. 3X–200C: These are detox remedies to heal chronic skin eruptions, and improve functions of glands. Either of them can augment the action of other indicated remedies. (73) (See under Acne; Vol-1, under Eyes, Inflammation,… Orbital Cellulitis, for details)

Lyc. 30C–10M: It acts profoundly on liver, kidneys, mind and other organs. As a constitutional remedy, it removes dark pigmented spots on skin. (73) (See also Vol-1, under Constipation, for details)

MUR-AC. 30C–200C: It removes general weakness, and regenerates the tissues damaged by chronic diseases. It heals oversensitive skin to sun-light, freckles, and solar dermatitis. (73)

NIT-AC. 30C–200C: It removes the yellow-brown or copper-colored spots, appearing locally or all over the body. (Cf. Sep., Caul.). (30, p.535) It removes or lighten up the dark freckles, black pores from skin of face, especially in dark complexioned persons. (138, Vol.1, p.454)

RAD-BR. 30C–200C: During its provings in 6X potency, it removed small nevi from the nose tip and chin, which is significant because x-rays are used locally to destroy the nevi, epithelioma, lupus, cervical cancer, and urethral caruncle. Rad-br. 30C–200C, has cured number of such cases. (See also Vol-5, under Skin Dis., Eczema, for more info on this very useful clinical remedy for variety of skin disorders). (73)

Sang. 7C: It is a clinically proven remedy for flushing of face. (See under Flushing of Face, for details)

SEP. 200C–10M: It is a well-known remedy to remove butterfly rash and brown spots on the skin of face. A case of hyper pigmented dark brown patch on the upper lip and along the outer border of right eyebrow was cleared away, after few doses of Sepia 200C, were taken weekly. (21, p.126)

SEP. & SULPH. 30C–200C: These remedies resemble each other very much in the symptoms of skin diseases and dark-brown discolorations. They follow each other well. (32a, pp.718–719) In cases not showing clear symptoms indicating another remedy, try Sulph. 30C and Sep. 30C, 1-dose of each on alternate days, for a period of 2 to 3 months. This course will remove dark spots. (67)

SULPH. 30C–10M: It is a clinical remedy to removed freckles from the skin of face. (102, p.735)

THIOS. 3X–200C: It is an excellent remedy in resolving the scars, adhesions, strictures, and infiltrated toxins. It can remove the discoloration of face on its own, or when given intercurrently, it augments the healing action of other indicated remedies. (73) (See also under Digest. THUJ. 6X–200C: It is a detox remedy. It can be used intercurrently with other remedies to removes dark-brown spots from the skin. (30, p.310)

VERAT-V. 3X–30C: It has scored high success in resolving the inflammatory diseases. Use it in alternation or intercurrently with other remedies to remove discolorations of face, especially when accompanied with a red streak in center of tongue. (73) (See also under Anemia, for more info).

Flushing or Rash on Face

(See also under Head Disorders, Violent Headache with Very Red Face)

APIS. 200C–10M: It is indicated for flushing of face or affected region in consequence to an allergic reaction, or to a disease condition such as erysipelas. (20, p.82)

AUR. 30C–200C: It is useful for flushing of face from rush of blood from excessive action of enlarged hear without dilatation. In some cases, the face is bloated with a glassy look. (30, p.600–601)

BELL. 30C–200C: It is indicated for bright red face with high fever in acute infections. The patient appears drowsy, confused and frightened. (20, p.82)

BERB. Φ–6C: It detoxifies the body of toxins by improving the functions of digestion, liver and kidneys. Always keep it in mind for tendency to flushing of face almost of purple hue. Give it alone, or in alternation with other indicated remedies. (See also Vol-3, under Musculoskeletal Syst. Disorders, Knee-Joint O-A; Hip-Joint O-A, for more info on this very useful auxiliary remedy)

CIC. 30C–200C: Consider it for flushed face, with rush of blood to the head.(67;119, pp.388–389) (See Eruptions, Eczema on Face; Vol-5, under Skin Disorders, for details)

CON. 30C–200C: It was regarded by past masters as the Aconite of chronic diseases. It suggests that it should be the first remedy to begin the treatment of chronic diseases. It removes congestion, inflammation, and constriction in the tissues and organs. It especially suits full-blooded children with lively disposition. (73) Try it to relieve the abnormal flushing of face in menopausal women (67) (See Vol-1, under Blood-Pressure High; Conjunctivitis, for more info).

FERR. 30C–200C: It is one of the best remedies for persons who blush easily under emotional stress, physical exertion or during fevers. Give it to support other indicated remedies for flushed face. It is one of the four best remedies for the obesity—Calc-c., Caps., Graph. & Phyt. (96, p.374)

FERR-PIC. 30C–200C: It is considered as a great remedy to complete the action of other indicated remedies. Use it in alternation with other remedies indicated for the tendency to easy flushing of face from emotional or physical excitement. (8; 67) (See under Dark-Brown Spots on Face)

GRAPH. 30C–200C: Considered it for persons with marked tendency to rush of blood to the head with flushed face, which precedes or accompanies a nosebleed. (73)

HYPER. 5C, 9C & 15C: Boiron, the largest manufacturers of homeopathic remedies in the world, sponsored a study of homeopathic treatment of photo-dermatitis on 105 people, mainly women, who had a history of skin eruption from exposure to the sun. They were treated with Hyper. 5C, 9C and 15C, with very good results. There was 85.5% overall improvement. (1, Vol.101, #4, pp.187–188, Winter 2008)

MEZ. 30C–10M: It is deep acting chronic remedy, indicted for the deep red skin of face, often with moist eruption and nightly itching. (96, p.552)

PHOS. 6C–200C: It acts acutely and chronically. It possesses a wide range of healing action in acute and chronic diseases. (See Vol-1, under Digest. Syst. Dis., Ulcer; Vol-3, under Musculo. Syst., for details)

RAD-BR. 30C–200C: It is indicated for irritated and flushed skin of face, patchy erythema on forehead, and crops of little pimples. (73) (See under Erupt., Eczema; Vol-5, under Skin Erupt., for more info).

Sang. 7C: Boiron sponsored a study of women, who used to have spontaneous flushes of cheeks not associated with menopause. Sang.7C was given for 3-months with 87 % improvement in majority of cases and complete disappearance of flushes in others. (1, Vol.101, #4, pp.188, Winter, 2008)

stront-c. 30C–200C: It is an effective remedy to eradicate the chronic tendency to easy flushing of face, ears or neck from minor physical exertion. The great characteristic indicating this remedy is the occurrences of flushing from slightest physical movement. It may depend on chronic deficiency in the normal tone of arteries resulting in their easy dilation. In this symptom, Stront-c. is similar to Amyl-n., Bell., Glon., and Verat-v. Compare them closely to select the best one.(102, p.727)It is indicated for chronic condition of red and swollen nose. Dr. Hale had cured cases of chronic redness and soreness at the tip of nose persisting for many years. (30, p.655; 38, Vol.2, p.413)

VERAT-V. 3X–30C: It has scored high success rate in resolving acute and chronic inflammation especially when a red streak in the center of the tongue is present. In chronic tendency to flushing of face indicating another remedy, give also Verat-v. in alternation for more rapid healing. (73) (See also Vol-1, under Anemia, for more info)

VARIO. 30C–200C: It is a promising nosode remedy to remove blood toxins, discoloring the face or neck, of dark-purple color, esp. when tongue appears as if coated with pieces of white velvet. (46) Additionally, use the detox remedy, Berb. Φ, 5-drops in water, to help in faster recovery. (67) (See also Vol-3, under Knee-Joint O-A, for more info).

Leukoderma/ Vitiligo (White Spots)

ALUM. 30C–200C: It is indicated for leukoderma especially in patients who also have general dryness of skin, mucous membranes, weakness and chronic constipation. (55, p.12)

ARS. 30C–200C: It is indicated for leukoderma and dirty-looking skin in patients who are anxious, restless, weak and very chilly. (55, p.42)

ARS-S-F. 6C–30C : "It gave me entire satisfaction in 6C in removing the leukoderma. It needs to be given tid for a long time, to see an improvement or a cure. In a very advanced case of leukoderma, Ars-s-fl. 6C used persistently for 40 days cured it." (2, p.63; 121, p.68)

ARS-S-R. 30C–200C: It is a collateral remedy to Ars-s-f., for leukoderma. It is indicated in patients who show mixture of symptoms of Ars. & Sulph. on the skin and constitutionally. (2, p.271)

BELL. 30C–200C: It is an effective remedy for acute and chronic inflammatory conditions. In cases of leukoderma, give it in alternation with the main remedy for more rapid healing. (See Vol-1, under Ear Diseases, O-M; Acute Headaches, for more info on this wonderful anti-inflammatory remedy)

BERB. Φ–200C: It should always be considered for use in alternation or intercurrently with other indicated remedies for skin disorders, such as leukoderma. It improves the functions of digestion, liver and kidneys, and detoxifies the blood. (See also Vol-3, under Knee-Joint O-A; Hip-Joint O-A, for more info)

CIST. 30C–200C: Because it grows in soils containing the mineral mica, it seems promising for leukoderma. Mica is suggested in our books, as possible remedy for leukoderma, so it is a hint. (67)

COND. Φ–6X: It acts deeply on the entire body, and has been found useful in serious conditions such as cancers, especially when painful cracks in the corners of mouth were present concomitantly. So, try it in cases of leukoderma not responding to other indicated remedies. (73)

CON. 30C–200C: It was regarded by some past masters as the Aconite of chronic diseases. It means that it should be considered as the first remedy to be tried in the beginning of chronic diseases. It removes congestion, inflammation, and hardness in organs. (73) It should be tried in white spots in skin. (67) (See under Blood-Pressure High; Conjunctivitis, for more info)

Dros. 30C–200C: It is a clinically proven anti-tubercular remedy. Try it intercurrently in leukoderma to boost the healing action of other indicated remedies. (See Vol-1, under Digest. Syst… Ulcer of Stomach; Vol-3, under Musculoskeletal Syst, Caries of; Respiratory Syst.; Insanity, for details)

EUPHR. 3X–200C: It is a useful remedy for diseases of internal eyes, as well as regions around them. Try it for leukoderma, especially around the eyes. (30, pp.311, 398; 73) (See also under Tumors; Warts on Face).

HYDRC. Φ: Dr. Joussets, an old timer, well-known homeopath had reported a brilliant cure of genuine leprosy in the second stage [ulcerative stage] with this remedy. He gave it’s Φ, 2-drops in ¾ glass of water internally, and applied a 1:10 lotion in water externally. He also used the same treatment for lupus. (121, p.281) This hints for its usefulness also for leukoderma. (67)

KALI-I. or IOD. 3X–200C: These are effective remedies for chronic inflammation, skin eruptions, detoxification, improving functions of thyroid, pituitary, pancreas, etc. Either of them may be used to help the action of other remedy. (See under Face, Acne ; Eyes, Inflamm., Orbital Cellulitis, for details)

Lyc. 30C–10M: It acts profoundly on external and internal organs. As a constitutional remedy, it will help in any chronic condition including leukoderma. (73) (See also under Constipation, for details).

MICA 30C–200C: It is a mineral, naturally found in thin layers, composed of various silicates of metals. It is listed as a collateral remedy to Tub., and may be tried in cases of leukoderma. (2, p.271)

MUR-AC. 30C–200C: It regenerates the tissues damaged by chronic diseases. It removes the oversensitivity of skin to the rays of sun-light It cures solar eczema, black pocks, blind boils and freckles. (73) As an intercurrent remedy, it seems promising to boost the action of other remedies indicated for leukoderma. (67) (See Vol-1, under Ear Diseases, Deafness, for details)

NAT-M. 6C–200C: It is a wide acting remedy for variety of skin disorders. It is a collateral remedy to the nosode Tub. Try it for leukoderma, especially in mentally depressed persons. (2, p.271) It is also a collateral to Ars. and complementary to Sep. Try it in cases of leukoderma not responding to other indicated remedies such as Ars., Ars-s-f. and Sep. (2, pp.60, 242)

PHOS. 30C–200C: It acts positively on skin, liver and lungs. It is especially suitable for happy, friendly and sympathetic persons with delicate skin. Give it intercurrently at suitable intervals during the treatment of leukoderma with Ars. or Ars-s-f. to speed up the curative process. (2, p.60)

SEP. 30C–200C: It is a broad acting constitutional remedy. It is indicated in skin disorders as oft. as Ars., Graph., Sulph. It has many symptoms very similar to Tub. It has been used successfully in cases of leukoderma especially in children and women. (2, p.271) It is a useful remedy for leukoderma, eczema and freckles of the skin. (55, p.398) It is also promising for Sunburn, or Photo-dermatitis. (67)

SEP. & LYC. 30C–200C: In cases of leukoderma, not responding to other indicated remedies, try these remedies in 30C, on alternate days, or in 200C on alternate weeks. (32a, pp.483–484; 67)

SEP. & SULPH. 30C–200C: These remedies resemble each other in symptoms of variety of skin diseases, and follow each other well. (32a, pp.718–719) In cases of leukoderma, not responding to other well-indicated remedies, try these remedies in alternation. For example, give 1-dose of Sep. 30C on the first morning, and Sulph. 30C on the next morning. Continue this cycle for few months. The potency and dose intervals should be increased according to the improvement. (67)

SIL. 30C–10M: It has wide range of usefulness in diseases of the skin. It is listed as a collateral and complementary remedy to Ars. and Sep. It is especially suitable for the weak and emaciated children. It improves the metabolic function, nutrition and growth of healthy hair and nails. It seems very promising for leukoderma, especially following vaccinations. (2, pp.60, 243) It has been reported to have cured some cases of leukoderma. (55, p.409)

SULPH., CALC., LYC. & TUB. 200C–10M: Give them in sequence in cases of leukoderma not responding to other well-indicated remedies. (See Vol-1, under Digestive Syst., Ulcerative Colitis, for details)

SULPH. 200C + PSOR. 200C & ARS-S-F. 30C + HYDRC. 30C: These remedies have been found clinically useful in removing leukoderma. Give Sulph. 200C + Psor. 200C once a week, followed by Ars.-s-f. 30C + Hydrc. 30C twice a day in between days. Continue this course for 3–4 months. (97A)

SYPH. 200C–10M: It is a complementary remedy to Ars-s-f., Hydrc. and Tub., in the treatment of leukoderma, especially when appearing in bilateral patches. (2, pp.63, 149, 271)

THIOS. 3X–200C: It is an excellent remedy in resolving scars, adhesions, strictures, and infiltrated toxins. It will remove leukoderma patches on its own, or in alternation will augment the action of other indicated remedies. (73) (See Vol-1, under Digest. Syst., Stricture; Vol-3, under Mind...Alzheimer’s Dis; Vol-5, under Skin Tumors, for more info on this very promising remedy)

THUJ. 6X–200C: It softens the hardened tissues, and removes the warts. It can be used intercurrently to augment the action of other remedy for leukoderma. (30, p.310)

VERAT-V. 3X–30C: It has scored high success rate in resolving the inflammation and congestion. It can be used in alternation with other indicated remedies in leukoderma, especially when a red streak in the center of the tongue is also present. (73) (See also under Anemia, for more info)

Emaciation of Face due to Diseases or Old-Age

AETH. 30C–10M: It has great affinity to the nervous system and gastro-intestinal regions. It is indicated most frequently in diseases of children, during dentition with diarrhea. It is especially indicated for emaciated children who have marked inability to digest milk, which causes stomach colic, violent vomiting and diarrhea. The patients appear anxious, restless, mostly crying and unable to fix attention on anything. (118, pp.121–122) (See also under Stomach, Inflammation, for details)

ARG-N. 30C–10M: It is indicated when emaciation is more prominent in face, especially in persons of impulsive and hurried-nature, with great desire for sweets. They look prematurely old with sunken face as if the skin were tightly drawn over the bones. They also suffer from frequent and loud eructations, incoordination and trembling of limbs during movements. (46)

BERB. Φ–6C: It improves the functions of digestion, liver and kidneys. It should always be given along with other indicated remedies to remove the emaciation. (See also Vol-3, under Knee-Joint O-A, for more info on this very useful auxiliary remedy).

CALC. 200C–10M: Impaired nutrition due to deficient function of thyroid or pituitary gland is the keynote indication for it. Consider it when face appears more emaciated than the rest of the body. The patients are pot-bellied, obese otherwise, chilly, and perspire a lot. (38, Vol.1, p.369)

CALC-HP. 3X–30C: It is a very promising remedy for emaciated persons who suffer from chronic diarrhea, possibly due to tuberculosis in the abdominal organs. It is also useful for emaciation caused by excessive loss of blood, semen; albumen, etc. (See also Vol.3, under Marasmus; Vol.5, under Scrofulous Constitution; Sleep Disorders, Insomnia, for more info on this very important remedy). (38, Vol.2, p.336)

CALC-SIL. 3X–30X: It has the property to regenerate the tissues damaged by diseases. It been used successfully to fatten up the emaciated children, where Silica was indicated, but failed. It is also useful to heal the punched-out ulcers occurring anywhere in the body. (73)

CON. 30C–200C: It is regarded as the Aconite of chronic diseases. It means that it should be the first remedy to begin the treatment of any chronic disease which develops suddenly. It removes congestion, inflammation, and constriction from the tissues and organs of the body. It suits especially the full-blooded and lively children. (73) Try it in abnormal emaciation of face in old age to see if it would prove helpful.(67) (See under Blood-Pressure High; Conjunctivitis, for more info).

Dros. 30C–200C: Dr. M.L. Tyler, MD, had praised it as an effective anti-tubercular remedy. According to her accounts, it seems even better than the nosode remedy Tuberculinum. Consider it for emaciation especially when there is a family history of tuberculosis. (96) (See Tub., below; Digest. Syst. Dis., Ulcer. of Stomach; Skeletal System… Caries of Bones; Resp. Syst., for details).

KALI-I. or IOD. 3X–200C: These are effective remedies for the treatment of chronic inflammations, skin eruptions, detoxification of blood, improving the functions of thyroid, pituitary, pancreas, etc. Either of them, in 3X or 6X, can be alternated to boost up the healing action of other indicated remedies for emaciation. (See under Eyes… Inflamm.,… Orbital Cellulitis; under Face… Acne, for details)

LIL-T. 30C–200C: It is a clinically proven remedy to remove the laxness or slackness in the connective tissues, ligaments of uterus, ovaries, and muscles of body. It seems to be a promising remedy to remove emaciation, wrinkles, lift a sagging face [face-lift], and firm up the body. (67)

Lyc. 30C–10M: It acts profoundly on all the external and internal organs. It will help remove emaciation when given as a constitutional remedy. (73) (See also under Constipation, for details).

MUR-AC. 30C–200C: It has the potential to regenerate the tissues damaged by chronic disease, and help remove the emaciation. (See under Ear Dis… Deafness, for details)

SEL. 30C–200C: Its characteristic indication is excessive weakness. It is likely to help in any chronic condition accompanied by excessive weakness. When typhoid, or excessive seminal loss results in emaciation, and exhaustion from a trivial labor, either mental or physical. (32, p.190)

THUJ. 6X–200C: It is a detox remedy. It softens the hardened tissues, and removes warts. (30, p.310)

TUB. 200C–10M: It should be tried as single dose in emaciated persons who eat quite well, and do not show sign of any serious illness except some skin eruptions. (46) (Cf. Dros., above)

ARS. 30C & BELL. 3X: It has been clinically proven that Ars. 30C followed by Bell. 3X, seldom fails to cure acne rosacea. (81, p.653) The same can be used for simple acne. (67)

BELL. 30C–200C: It is an effective anti-inflammatory remedy, and can be alternated beneficially with other indicated remedies for acne rosacea. (See under Ear Diseases, O-M; Acute Headaches, for more info]

BERB. Φ–6C: It can be alternated beneficially with other indicated remedies for acne rosacea. It improves the functions of digestion, liver, kidneys, and detoxifies the body. [See also Vol-3, under Musculoskeletal Disorders, Knee-Joint O-A, for more info on this very useful auxilliary remedy].

CALC-P. 6C–200C: It has proven successful in many cases of acne rosacea, especially in patients who also show general weakness. (See also Vol.5, under Skin Disorders… Acne). (138, Vol.2, p.510)

CARB-AN. 30C–200C: It is a clinically proven remedy for acne rosacea. It should be used in cases not responding to other well-indicated remedies. (See under Face, Discolorations, for details)

CAUST. 30C–200C: My colleague, Shahid Azam, reported a case of acne rosacea cured with it.

CHIM. Φ–3X: It is indicate by symptoms of flushed cheeks with sensation of heat. Try it for acne rosacea. (73)

COR-R. 30C–200C: By reviewing a long list of its skin symptoms, it seems to be a very promising remedy for acne rosacea on face. (67; 138, Vol.2, p.568; 102, p.245) (See Vol.5, under Skin… Eczema, for details)

DULC. 30C–200C: It heals variety of skin eruptions, allergies, and fungal infections. It is indicated as often as Ars., Calc., Graph., Petr., Sep. & Sulph. in skin disorders. (76, p.462) Acne rosacea is considered as an autoimmune disorder. I think, it is caused by exo- or endotoxins. Try Dulc. 30 and higher in cases of acne rosacea.(67) (See also Vol-5, under Skin Dis… Eczema; Impetigo, for more info).

ERYTH. 6C–200C: (It is prepared from a red mullet fish). It is a promising remedy for trials in acne rosacea. Dr. Burnett cured a case of pityriasis rubra on the chest, very similar to acne rosacea, which is a manifestation of syphilitic miasm in the background. Aur-m. is its complement. (73)

EUPH. 6C–200C: (It is prepared from resinous juice of Euphorbium Off.). It is one of the remedies listed by Hahnemann as an anti-miasmatic remedy. It is indicated in disorders of mucous membranes and skin such as erysipelas, vesicles, eczema, swelling of cheeks, eyes, and gums. (73) The chronic inflammation in gastrointestinal tract turns the semi-digested food into toxic matter, which is absorbed into the blood and seems to be a hidden cause of acne rosacea. (67) (Cf. Crot-t. & Ric.)

FAGO. 6C–200C: It is a clinical remedy for vesicular eruptions with itching. Try it in cases of acne rosacea not responding to other well-indicated remedies. (102, p.292)

GRAPH. 200C–10M: It has cured large number of cases of eczema, cracks, and psoriasis. The eruptions often discharge a honey-like fluid, which dries up into golden crusts. In cases of acne rosacea, give Graph. 200C, or higher, intercurrently with other indicated remedies for more rapid recovery, especially in heavy-set, obese and constipated patients. (120)

GUNP. 3X–200C: It can be used in acne rosacea, in alternation with other indicated remedies for faster recovery. It had been used in the past, mostly in 3X, but modern homeopaths have used it successfully in 30C and higher. Intercurrent doses of Hep. 200C significantly enhance the healing action of Gunp. (73, Vol.2, p.144 & Vol.3, p.1623) It can be claimed as a homeopathic antibiotic remedy.(67) (See also Vol-5, under Skin Diseases, Septicemia, for more info on this very promising remedy).

HEP. 30C–10M: Consider it for cases of acne rosacea with extreme sensitiveness to the touch, extreme irritability and chilliness. (73) (See also Vol.5, under Septicemia, for details).

HYDRC. 30C–200C: It has cured cases of acne, acne rosacea, eczema, pemphigus, and lupus. It has cured a case of lupus* on the right alae nasi, as large as a dime. The symptom of thick skin crusts had led to its successful use in fungal growths and ulcerations. (102, p.349) *tubercles covered with thick crusts

HYPER. 5C–15C: In one study, sponsored by Boiron, it has relieved more than 85 % of cases of sunburn, solar dermatitis or eczema from exposure to the sun. (See under Flushing of Face, for details)

ICHTH. 30C–200C: Keep it in mind for acne rosacea. A well-known German homeopathic physician, Dr. Reckeweg, MD, and his wife had proved it in 27X. Both developed small vesicles on the outer surfaces of cheeks with great itching—the usual region affected with acne rosacea. (58, Vol.1, p.220)

JUG-C. & JUG-R.30C–200C: These are important remedies for skin diseases. Keep them in mind along with other remedies for acne rosacea. (See under Face, Eczema; Vol.5, under Skin Diseases, for details)

KALI-BR. 30C–200C: It is a clinically proven remedy to heal acne related to adolescence. Try it also in acne rosacea especially in patients who also demonstrate mental disturbance. (36, p.13)

KALI-I. & IOD. 3X–200C: These are detox remedies of historic origin. They healing chronic inflammation, skin eruptions, improving functions of thyroid, pituitary, and pancreas. Either of them used in alternation augments the action of other indicated remedies for acne rosacea. (See under Acne; Vol-1, under Eyes… Inflamm., Orbital Cellulitis, for details)

LACH. 30C–10M: Dr. R.A.F. Jack, MD, wrote in his book "Rosacea is an unpleasant condition which is treated not very successfully with long-term antibiotics." Case: A woman, 31, developed acne rosacea nine month ago, following her 1st confinement. The rash was burning and worse before the onset of menses, by waking in morning under sunshine or external heat. She could not tolerate tight clothing around her neck or waist and hot bath or shower. Despite the aggravation of her acne rosacea from heat, she was a chilly person. She took Lach. 30C, 1-dose in morning for two weeks with dramatic relief. Her face became so much clear that everyone who knew her previous condition noted the improvement. Surprisingly, she now could also wear tight clothing and an enjoyed hot baths. Later, when it flared up again, Lach. 200C, 1-dose cleared it. During the next flare ups, when Lach. 200C, proved insufficient, she needed intermittent doses of Lach. 10M for the next few years, until the permanent cure of her acne rosacea. (118, p.195–6)

Lyc. 30C–10M: It enhances the functions of liver, kidneys, and bowels, which are the main organs to neutralize metabolic wastes. It can cure the acne rosacea, when prescribed as the patient’s constitutional remedy. (73) (See Vol.1, under Digestive Syst. Disorders, Constipation, for details).

MEZ. 30C–10M: Consider it for acne rosacea, as it has cured chronic acne on face, neck, shoulders, and itching eruption like fleabites, resembling millet seeds, mostly on chest, upper arms and thighs. It has also cured vesicles containing yellow fluid in various regions of body. (31, pp.649, 651; 96, pp.547–550) It is one of the most powerful remedies possessing the antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic-like action. Try it in cases of acne rosacea in which other indicated remedies have failed.(67) (See under Head, Crusta Lactea; Vol-5, under Skin Dis… Herpes, Ringworm, for more info)

MUR-AC. 30C–200C: It is a promising remedy to heal the oversensitivity to sun’s rays, solar eczema, acne rosacea, freckles, black spots, and blind boils. (73) (See under Ear Dis… Deafness, for details)

OV. 30C–200C: It is prepared from Ovarian Extract. The full name is Ovininum in homeopathic literature. It is useful for acne rosacea, especially when occurring at menopause. It is also useful for, menopausal hot flushes, PCOs, and complaints following surgical removal of ovaries. (46)

RAD-BR. 30C–200C: It has produced variety of skin symptoms during its provings, so it ought to be useful for the most stubborn cases of acne rosacea, not respond to other indicated remedies. (See also under Face, Eczema; and Vol-5, under Skin Eruptions, for more info on this very useful clinical remedy). (73)

SABAD. 30C–200C: It is useful for acne rosacea, pimples, rash consisting of red dotted spots, blisters, and furious itching, obliging hard scratching of skin eruptions. Dr. Nash, M.D., had pointed out that it has twenty times more potential than has been utilized for healing variety of disorders of skin and mucous membranes. The symptoms get worse from exposure to cold air, or to cold environment. (See under Vol-3, under Nose...Hay Fever; Skin Eruptions, for more info). (119b, Vol. III, pp.752–754)

Sang. 7C: It helped more than 87 % cases of flushing of face. (See under Flushing of Face, for details)

THIOS. 3X–200C: It is an excellent remedy in removing scars, adhesions, and toxins. It heals the acne rosacea, or when given intercurrently augments the action of other indicated remedies. THUJ. 6X–200C: It is a deep acting antisycotic remedy. Case: A woman, after re-vaccination, developed an eruption on her chin up to the lower lip. She had to hide it by wearing a veil. She took daily doses of Thuj. 30X. It was cured in two weeks, without leaving a scar. (30, p.310; 96, p.822)

TUB. 200C–10M: It has a wide range of usefulness in diseases of skin. In the cases of acne rosacea not responding to other indicated remedies, try a single dose of Tub. 200C or higher. (46)

VANAD. 3X–200C: It has helped 100’s of patients with anemia, chronic rheumatism, neurasthenia, and tuberculosis. It acts an antioxidant, and improves liver and digestive functions. It can be alternated with other indicated remedies in acne rosacea. (73) (See under Heart… Fatty Heart, for more info)

VERAT-V. 3X–30C: It has scored high success rate in resolving the inflammation and congestion. It can also be used in alternated with other remedies in acne rosacea in face, esp. with accompanied with a red streak in center of the tongue. (73) (See also under Anemia, for more info).

Acne Simplex, Pimples, Pustules & Blackheads (Adult onset Acne)

ABROT. 30C–200C: When the seed of this plant are boiled with barley-meal, and taken in tablespoonful doses, it removes pimples and wheals (resembling the insect bite), from the face or other parts of body. When the crushed herb is applied externally on the skin, it draws out splinters and thorns, which are buried deep in the muscle. It is also useful in homeopathic potency 30C or higher, for acne and blackheads. (121, p.3)

ANT-C. & ANT-T. 30C–10M: [See ANT-T. & ANT-C., bellow]

ANT-T. 6C–200C: It is indicated for large size pustular acne, looking like the eruption of small-pox. It is also useful to eradicate warts. (75, p.35) It is indicated in large sized pustular acne, which leaves a bluish mark after healing, disfiguring the face. Dr. Dudgeon rapidly cured two cases with Ant-t. 1X and 2X. (119, p.208) I do not advise to use it in such low potencies. Use it in 6C and higher. (67)

ANT-T. & ANT-C. 30C–10M: These are promising remedies for the treatment of large size pustular acne, almost equal to the size of a pea. (See Vol-5, under Skin… Impetigo, for details)

ARS. 30C & BELL. 3X: Dr. K.N. Mathur, a well-known Indian homeopath, after his long experience, had claimed that Ars. 30C followed by Bell. 3X, seldom fails in healing the acne rosacea. (81, p.653) The same will also help in cases of simple acne, when other indicated remedies have failed. (67]

ASTER. 6C–200C: It has been found useful to treat and removes the tendency to the eruption of acne, pimples or pustules, especially at the adolescence period. (8; 102, p.95)

ASTER. 6C & CALC-S. 12C: These remedies taken in alternation had cured stubborn cases of acne, in which other indicated remedies had failed. (142, p.16)

BAR-C. 30C–200C: "It is the best remedy we have ever used to cure the obstinate *acne simplex." wrote Dr. T.S. Hoyne, MD, in his book. (138, Vol.2, p.204) *Adult-onset acne

BAR-I. 30C–200C: It is very similar in action to Kali iodatum for the treatment of acne simplex on the face. It is especially suitable to obese persons with coarse skin, mentally dullness, physical laziness, and tendency to frequent colds with enlarged glands. (119, pp.556, 558)

BELL. 30C–200C: It is an effective anti-inflammatory remedy for acute and chronic inflammations. Use it in alternation with other indicated remedies for faster healing of acne rosacea. (67; 73) (See under Ear Dis., O-M; Acute Headaches, for details on this wonderful anti-inflammatory remedy)

BELL-P. 30C–200C: It acts more deeply than Arnica in injuries and skin eruptions. It has been used successfully in healing the acne vulgaris—a chronic acne on face, chest and shoulders. (58, Vol.1, p.54)

BERB. Φ–30C: It is an effective remedy to improve the functions of digestion, liver and kidneys, and helps detoxify the blood of waste products and other toxins. It should always be given in addition to other remedies indicated for acne for faster healing. It has been used mostly in 5–10 drops doses, but some experienced practitioners claim to have better results from 6C or 30C. It needs clinical trials. [See also Vol-3, under Knee-Joint O-A; Hip-Joint O-A, for more info on this very useful auxiliary remedy].

CALC. 200C–10M: Dr. E.C. Whitmont, MD, said that acne is universally associated with unresolved inner feelings of shame. The eruption of acne is, perhaps, is an outward expression of the subconscious conflict. It seems that the childhood experiences of humiliations, reprimands or punishment are retained by molecules of calcium in the body. At the onset of adolescence, these memories are expressed as acne. Case: A young man with severe acne on face was given 1-dose of Calc. 10M, and almost immediately he developed hypocalcemic tetany in his fingers for a brief period, which was followed by complete healing of acne. On enquiry, he revealed that as a young child his fingers were tied by his parents to prevent him from masturbation. He was rapidly cured according to Dr. Hering’s law of cure: the return of old symptoms briefly from inside out. I do not agree with this reasoning. A dose of Calc. 10M dislodged excess calcium from regions of high concentration and routed it out to regions of low concentration. This process triggers the healing response in diseases caused by the disturbed metabolism of calcium. (67) (1, Winter, 2008, Vol.101, #4, p.225)

CALC-PIC. 6X–30C: It is a remedy of prime importance in perifollicular inflammation, chronic or recurring boils, excessively painful small boils in auditory canals, styes on eyelids, and acne. (46)

CALC-SIL. 6C–200C: Professor Vithoulkas—a master teacher had found it useful in severe acne, especially in persons demonstrating deficient memory, self-confidence, excessive anxiety about health, severe constipation, chilliness, and feeling of extreme exhaustion with desire to remain in bed. Consider it, when Calc. or Sil. seems indicated but fails. (50) It is a promising remedy for chronic acne, in persons who are emaciated, absent-minded, easily discouraged, unable to make a decision, and over sensitive to cold. CARB-V. 6C + SIL. 6C + SULPH. 6C: An English homeopath, Thomas Maughan, successfully used this combo to cure the adolescents acne. He named it as SSC. Many Indian homeopaths routinely use it successfully, and consider it to be a near specific for all kinds of acne or pustules. (66, p.73; 109; 142, p.16)

CAUST. 30C–10M: It has special affinity for the skin of face. It has cured chronic acne, in which Ars., Hep., Sulph. or Syph. was indicated, but failed. It also dissipates warts esp. on the face. (138, Vol.1, p.541)

CHEL. 6C–200C: From studying the proving symptoms manifested in the skin of face, it seems to be a promising for the treatment and prevention of acne. (67; 119b). (See under Face, Eczema, for details)

CIC. 30C–200C: It is useful for acne or pustules, as large as peas, erupting in close proximity forming thick, yellow scabs on head, face, shoulder and back. (119, p.388) (See also under Eczema on Face, for details)

COND. Φ–6X: It acts deeply, and has cured cases of cancer, especially when cracks in the corners mouth were present at the same time. (73) Try it in cases of acne, not responding to other indicated remedies. (67) (See under Generative Organs, Female… Breast, Cancer, for more info)

COP. Φ–30C: It was given in 6C to a woman for bladder weakness. It relieved not only the bladder weakness, but also cleared up the old scars on face left behind from previous acne. It is also effective for chronic urticaria from food allergies. (119, p.440) Cop. 6C has been found useful to smooth out the skin by filling the deep pits remaining after the previous acne was healed. (142, p.17)

DULC. 30C–200C: It is a wonderful remedy for allergies, eczema, crusta lactea, herpes, and impetigo. It is indicated as often as Ars., Calc., Graph., Petr., Sep. & Sulph. Try it in cases of acne when other indicated remedies fail. (76, p.462) (See also Vol-5, under Skin Dis… Eczema; Impetigo, for more info)

GRAPH. 200C–10M: It has cured large number of cases of acne, eczema, and psoriasis, especially in obese patients. The honey-like fluid discharged from eruptions dries up into thick crusts. (120)

GUNP. 3X–200C: It has impressive clinical records of cures of infected wounds, boils, and carbuncles that had not responded to other indicated remedies. In stubborn cases of acne, use it in alternation with other indicated remedies for more rapid healing. It been used in 3X in the past, but modern practitioners have achieved success with 30C and higher. Intercurrent doses of Hep. 200C greatly enhances the healing action of Gunp. (46, p. 1485; 73, Vol.2, p. 144 & Vol.3, p. 1623) It is clinically proven homeopathic antibiotic remedy. (8) (See also under Infectious Diseases, Septicemia, for details)

HEP. 6C–10M: Dr. John M. Bischoffberger, MD, in an article ‘Fifty Years of Homeopathy’, recommended Hep. 3X, 1-grain tablet, 4 times daily, for acne or pustules, caused by staph or strep infection. The interval between doses is increased according to improvement. (61, Oct., 1987, p.10; 73) Hep. 3X, seems to act as a homeopathic antibiotic, similar in action of low potency of Gunp., Sulph., and Merc. Try it especially for painful acne, which is extremely sensitiveness to the touch. The patient’s mind also mirrors the same extreme sensitiveness expressed as irritability, and sensitiveness to the cold temperature. (67) (See under Infectious Dis., Septicemia, for details)

HYDRC. 6C–200C: It is a deep acting remedy. It is useful for chronic infection, hypertrophy and induration of interstitial and connective tissues. (8) (See under Face Disorders, Acne Rosacea, for details)

JUG-C. & JUG-R. 6C–200C: Theses are useful remedies for acne with itching. Both help detoxify the blood of wastes and toxins. (See under Face… Eczema; Vol.5, under Skin Diseases… Acne, for details)

KALI-BR. 30C–200C: It is a clinically proven remedy for acne in hot-blooded young people and for flare up of acne during menses. (19, p.105) It has cured cases of acne in which other indicated remedies have failed. (20a, p.6) A slow comprehension of mind of a patient confirms its selection. (67)

KALI-BR. + SIL. 30C–200C: The eruption of severe acne at puberty responds well to Kali-br. 30C + Sil. 30C. This combo needs to be taken for at least a month to achieve satisfactory results. (97, p.629)

KALI-I. & IOD. 6C–200C: Dr. Thin had microscopically examined the specimen of cells affected by taking large doses of Kali-i., and noted the damage in the coats of blood-vessels, leaking blood into the skin, resulting in the formation of acne, and pustules. Dr. Hughes, MD, said that Kali-i. and Iod. are the leading remedies for all forms of acne, molluscum contagiosum, and sebaceous cysts. He also found Kali-i., Nat-i., and Am-i. to be almost equal in benefits for such eruptions. (119, pp.556, 558)

Lyc. 30C–10M: As a constitutional remedy, it is useful in acne. (73) [See also under Constipation, for details].

MUR-AC. 30C–200C: It regenerate tissues damaged by diseases, acts strongly on skin and is a promising remedy to remove the oversensitivity to sun’s rays, solar eczema, black pocks, blind boils, acne simplex and freckles. (73) [See under Ear Dis… Deafness, for details]

NAT-BR. 30C–10M: Dr. R.A.F. Jack, MD, said in his book titled ‘Homeopathy In General Practice’ "I discovered Nat-br. as a treatment of acne in Homeopathic Therapeutics by Lilienthal, and have used it very successfully in persons with greasy skin. I have had little success in healing the acne with Kali-br., even though it is listed in bold type in Kent’s Repertory. Some other experienced practitioners have found Calc-sil., Hep., and Sil., more useful in clearing up the acne." (118, p.196)

NAT-I. 30C–200C: Dr. Hughes, MD, had observed clinically that Nat-i. was almost equal to the therapeutic benefits of Kali-i., and Am-i. in healing the cases of acne. (119, p.558)

OV. 30C–200C: Try it in simple acne, when other indicated remedies have failed. It seems promising because it has successfully treated some cases of acne rosacea. (67) (See under Acne Rosacea, for details)
