Introduction

This book was written to encourage, inspire, and motivate anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by life and experienced doubt about whether you could make it through. Although, at this moment, I remain in expectancy of some of the promises the Lord has made, I thank Him that I am still able to stand. I decree and declare that by the time this reaches you, the manifestation of all God has said will have come to pass in my life (and it is so according to my faith), amen!

For someone who has faced every challenge from financial to physical, to spiritual to mental/emotional, I can say I am blessed beyond measure. Riding on the wave of His strength, power, love, and grace has taught me total dependency on Him, and He wants to do the same for you. Father, I thank you that you chose me to go on this journey. You saw something in me I found hard to see in myself, and I’m grateful for doves’ eyes.

Discovering purpose at the expense of revelation of who you’ve been in your past can be difficult and seem like a dark place, but there is a light that shines brighter than any bulb—Jesus Christ, our Lord! Many of us feel we’ve been doing things right such as trusting God and walking according to His will. However, we experience shock and even dismay when He shows us otherwise. I pray this book speaks to anyone who has ever been called to greater but struggled through the refining process.

Father, I pray you speak to the hearts and minds of your people how being broken before you only creates space for the greatest reconstruction project they’ve ever encountered. Help us say yes to you in every way, through all things. Teach us how not to yield to temptation but remain steadfast to receive the full blessing of the Lord. Now I call forth manifestation after the endurance of every God-ordained test and trial. Not our will, Father, but Thine be done in the precious name of Jesus, I pray, amen!

My life over the past few years has been one big whirlwind; from facing the death of both my mother and father (almost a year exactly apart) to having to walk away from school, my job, and my children while facing a life-changing health condition. Even in the midst of all, I also experienced unstable living conditions. One would probably say this was enough to drive anyone insane, and I would possibly agree, but it’s only by the grace and mercy of the Most High God that I am able to say today: I survived it all.
