About this ebook

There are more Christian women who are single than anyone else in the world. As a Christian woman, we tend to be overworked and underappreciated. We give most of our time to our jobs, leaving us with no time to be found by our husbands; it is time to change that narrative. I understand that most Christians believe that investing is a sin because of 1 Timothy 6:10 that reads, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." But what we read over is the word love. In this book, we will look at investing from a biblical standpoint. We will go over tips on how to free up your time by investing. And we will go into detail as to why 1 Timothy is not about investing but greed.

    About the Author

This book is dedicated to my amazing sister, Latoya Gipson. She was everyone's blanket during the cold days. She was our cheerleader and the biggest go-getter of us all. She reminded all of us we could overcome anything if we put in the work to do so. If it were not for her, I would not have the courage to step out and make a better life for my family. I would not have had the vision to help create a better community so that the little black boys in my family could have a haven to grow up in and flourish.

Latoya, thank you for being the light to this family. Thank you for standing up for the little guys and girl. You were the best sister, best friend, best cousin, best daughter, and best granddaughter anyone could ask for. I know because everyone said it at your funeral. RIP. May the memories of you live on forever. I love you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

    —Deuteronomy 31:6

    Introduction

An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.

    —Proverbs 31:10

Before I start, let me say this is not a book about relationships. This is not a book about how to act like a lady and think like a man. This is not a book on how to find your husband. For the record, I would never write a book on how to find you a husband. I mean even the Bible made it clear that women are the prize to men. In Genesis 2:18, it says, Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.' God gave queens as prizes to kings, so tell me, when did the trophy start competing for the competitor? Anyhow, that is a different book for a different kind of lady. This book is for the queens out there who are hidden beneath their nine-to-fives. This book is for the queens who are buried jewels, waiting to be uncovered by their king. If that is not you, then I hate to break it to you, but this book is not for you. Now, if you are not sure what I mean by that, this can be the book, and then again, it still may not be the book. But keep reading; I have a few questions for you.

Have you ever made plans to do something after work or school but canceled because you were too tired? Have you ever said you will do it on your day off, but your body said no, we need rest? Have you ever been so tired after work you stopped by the closest fast-food joint because you did not feel like cooking? If you answer yes to any of these questions, then, queen, this book is for you. And let me tell you, you are not alone. I had the same struggle at one point.

Let me tell you a little story of this queen who was pushing thirty with no children of her own, working crazy hours, going to school part-time, almost failed because of the demands of her job, and had everyone looking at her side-eyed because she had been single way too long. That queen was me. In 2015, I was still active-duty military, but I decided to go back to school so my dating life became tragic. When I say tragic, I mean no going out, no long conversations on the telephone, no four-page letters, no friends, no Netflix and chill—straight tragic! At that moment in time, I did not notice it because I was active duty. In active duty, you are still constantly meeting new people at work because soldiers come and go; you are still traveling because there was mandatory training every quarter, and there was always some kind of event that you had to volunteer for. That made it seemed as if I had a very active personal life. Well, in 2017, I transitioned to National Guard, and boy, did I get a reality check quick. In National Guard, you meet with your unit five days out of the month, and the units were only required to do yearly trainings. The trainings always took place within a one hundred-mile radius of the unit, so there was no more traveling for me. The paycheck was only six hundred dollars a month, so I had to get a civilian job. This is when reality hit quicker then, when God said let there be light and there was light, in Genesis 1:3.

When I got my civilian job, I was always working overtime because I could not afford to work forty hours a week and pay my bills. My life consisted of work and sleep. At this time, I had to drop out of
