Treasures of a Hopeful Heart - George Magdalany
Heart Treasures
By blowing through my heart afresh,
By reviving my spirit, soul, and flesh…
His presence, that was there all the time,
Has given a song, a hymn, and a rhyme.
I Give Him Praise
Whether I’m awake by the morning light
Or there are no blue skies within my sight—
If I open my eyes from restless dreams—
Without finding the sun’s glowing beams—
While rain is falling upon stormy days,
I will still, by His grace, give Him praise!
The New Day Comes
When the night is over and a new day has come,
don’t forget the victory that Jesus Christ has won.
He ransomed your soul from the unholy, the abyss
and has given you a home in eternal bliss.
He died and lives to cleanse you from every sin,
so whatever this new day holds, hold on to Him!
A Brand-New Day
A brand-new day to breathe and live,
Enjoying the blessings He freely gives.
Basking in the grace He bestows upon me,
With life abundant, that’s truly free.
All because of Jesus, the Holy One,
The awaited Messiah, the Father’s Son.
Yesterday is gone, with all its sorrow,
I have faith for today and hope for tomorrow.
A brand-new day of victory divine—
I forget the past, I leave it behind—
For today is new, I boldly say,
It’s a hopeful moment, a brand-new day!
Holy Trinity
Thank the Father, thank the Son,
Thank the Holy Spirit, three in One.
You are my God, expressed in three,
Abiding as One, the Trinity.
When I need a Father, You are there
To hold me close and to say You care.
When I need a friend, a friend indeed,
I come to You, Jesus, for that need.
And when I need power from on high,
It is to You, Holy Spirit, that I direct my cry.
I thank You, my God, all praise to Thee!
Father, Son, and Spirit, Holy Trinity!
His Loving Presence
When tempest storms rage within,
When the enemy of God has scored a win—
When hope darkens and faith hides,
When sorrows of soul firmly abide—
I remember the promise that He’s always there
To carry the burdens that I cannot bear.
I look beyond the clouded skies,
Through the darkness and the lies.
Unto Jesus my Lord, my Savior—friend,
Who brings the grief to a glorious end.
Joy returns,
Devotion burns.
Up from despair,
To breathe the air.
Victory sweet,
On the road I meet.
I come back home,
For the mercy shown.
Thank You, Father, for the healing You give—
For Your loving presence, where I ever live.
Eyes Lifted
When sin and sorrow my heart they break—
When it feels that all around forsake—
When in the forest darkened, I’ve lost my way
And without redemption, only death to pay.
I hear a small still voice say, "I am still here,
I see your pain and every tear.
Nothing has changed, love still strong,
Through your journey, however long.
Surrender to love with peace to abound—
Stand in faith on solid ground.
This, too, shall pass as memories fade.
Take My hand, child, and be not afraid!"
So this I shall do as the race I run
With eyes lifted up to the Holy One.
Holy Rest
He speaks to my heart, "Come and be healed…
Eat the fruit My Spirit shall yield."
I come to the waters that sparkle with life
And hear songs of praise on harp and fife.
He calls out to me to come and sup—
To sit at His table with bread and cup.
I lay my head upon His beating chest
As my soul in Him, finds holy rest.
My Soul Rejoices
My soul rejoices, with
