I have always enjoyed a particular type of erotica, stories where lust and carnal desire overwhelm reason, driving away the trappings of the real world as ecstatic fantasy takes over. My writing strives to tell such stories in rich worlds of dark fantasy, far flung science fiction, or apocalyptic inevitability, finding the kinky fun under every rock or at the end of every winding corridor.

Because that’s true, right? You told me it was all a bunch of nonsense. That people weren’t turning into fucking monsters. That we weren’t staring down the barrel of a virus that might wipe out humanity. No, not wipe us out, turn us into dick hungry sluts. And you wouldn’t lie to me, would you, sweetheart?"

We are encouraging people to follow governmental advice regarding keeping distance from each strangers, avoiding crowded locations, telecommuting where possible, and reporting suspicious behavior.

But you are still hosting a fundraiser.

Nestor’s smile didn’t falter. He bashfully tilted his head slightly. Yes officer, I kicked that can, the gesture said. The news anchor looked horrible. Like Nestor, Jason was at home. Unlike Nestor, Jason didn’t have the foresight of preparing his home office for continual business. The normal gloss and glam of studio lights and makeup were gone, and the remaining man looked ill and desperate. Nestor had his team consult every social media personality available on proper lighting and set up. He would look perfect for every interview and segment in the coming days. They all wanted to talk about the mysterious virus. His office fielded a call from every major show looking for talking heads to weigh in, each of them hoping for someone to let some massive government conspiracy slip. The scoop? It was all nonsense. A frenzy whipped up by over stimulated paper pushers and internet video conspiracy nutjobs. Yes, we’re going ahead with the party. Not a fundraiser, I’ll remind you.

A party that charges six grand a plate.

He’s trying to rile me, the senator thought. "We are not soliciting donations, let me make that clear. The party does not cost the guests anything. It does cost me and my cooperating hosts about
