There are certain things you need to know about a long-distance relationship before you get into any, and then you can decide if it's for you or not. 

Long-distance relationships are much more satisfying and less stressful when they are understood to be temporary. In other words, having a goal of living together in the future makes it much easier to keep your eyes on the prize and more comfortable to work together to get through the tough times.
