Heart-to-Heart Communication: How to talk to your horse in a new voice
()
About this ebook
Developing this ability has been a true blessing for me and my horses as they love ‘being heard’ and our relationship has been transformed because of it. That is why I wrote this book, Heart-to-Heart Communication. I want to help you develop your innate ability to tap into this energy and communicate with your horse.
By learning to listen to what your horse is telling you and responding in kind, a whole new world of possibilities will open up for the two of you. A world where you will be able to communicate with each other telepathically through the deep connection of love and trust that you share.
In this book, I’ll explain not only why this is possible but how you can achieve it through a series of simple, easy-to-follow steps. What previously may have seemed unattainable will soon become a reality for you and… it’s easier than you think.

This book is dedicated to my dear friend and mentor Uncle David
who taught me how to truly listen to nature and love without end.
And to my horse Jazz
who continued to teach me how to communicate heart-to-heart
Preface
"I truly believe that as children we see humans and animals as the same. We don’t differentiate, we’re all just beings. And in our innocent wonder, we communicate with animals telepathically without giving it a second thought.
We assume it’s normal and that everyone can do it, including adults.
And then bit by bit, that gift just seems to fade away, and we don’t even notice."
Teddie Ziegler
Have you ever watched TV shows about wildlife in Africa? The ones that show the lions on the prowl trying to catch dinner. Have you noticed that the deer or antelope that survive seem to know instantly when the lion is in the area?
They seem to instantly know that there’s something different going on, their heads go up and then they start scanning with their ears and noses for confirmation.
Do you know what it is?
It is actually something that is very near and dear to my heart and something I treasure. I know it’s the reason horses are drawn to me and trust me, why they come to me for help and why they aren’t afraid to be around me.
It is something I’ve been reluctant to discuss until recently as some people feel it’s ‘woo-woo’ or ‘hooey’. And many people are just afraid of anything that’s different or strange, anything they can’t explain.
However, when a horse senses it in you, he instantly knows everything he needs to know. He knows if you are trustworthy, if you have the right intentions, what your emotional state is, and if you are a threat.
Once he has all that information about you and knows he can trust you, then he will connect and communicate with you on a deeper level. Then all that’s left is figuring out how to communicate properly and what the two of you want in order to be happy.
Just like in a marriage. You meet, fall in love, and start learning how to communicate with each other in a way that makes the two of you happy.
I’m sure you’ve seen people work with horses where it seems as if they are communicating telepathically, it’s just so effortless for them.
I’ve heard people say that this type of communication is unattainable, or only for the most gifted or blessed. I don’t believe that is true.
I believe this is a natural ability we all have; we just have to be aware of and be open to learning it.
Some students in my personal coaching program asked how they can also achieve this kind of effortless, telepathic communication and so I began to share it with them.
Now they too can see what I see and do what I do with horses because I have made these skills transferable and teachable. It’s been one of the highlights of my life witnessing their transformation into amazing horsemen and women with their own magic.
As I said, I’ve been reluctant to discuss this for the longest time but have been urged to open up about it by these students.
I call it Tapping into the Universal Energy
.
Perhaps you are aware of this already, perhaps not. Whichever it is, I have two questions for you…
1.Have you ever gone to someone’s house and their cat or dog comes right up to you for scratches, or the cat jumps in your lap for cuddles?
And their owner says, They normally don’t act like that with strangers
.
2.Have people told you that you are good with animals?
If so, then you’re already connected to this universal energy. But most people don’t realize that they are connected and they’re not sure why it happens or how to turn it on or off. They just know that it shows up when they need it.
When you can deliberately tap into this energy and hone this skill, a mere twitch of your head or a shift in your seat is enough for your horse to know exactly what you’re asking. And your horse is happily willing to cooperate with you. The two of you will be in perfect sync.
This connection to the universal energy links you and your horse naturally and takes your horsemanship skills to another level.
But it’s even more than that though. It’s an intuition, a feeling, a knowing, and a deep understanding. A way to communicate with your horse in a deeper, richer, more fulfilling way.
For those people who appear to be able to communicate telepathically with their horse, that could indeed be what they are doing, tapping into this universal energy.
Just as you want to be on the ‘same wavelength’ in a blissful marriage, the same is possible in your relationship with your horse. And when you are, it allows you to know what’s really going on with each other and allows you to feel your way through any issues together. It makes working with your horse so much simpler.
Here’s an example of how this worked for me when I was young.
Growing up in the countryside, it was typical to see unwanted dogs dropped off at private schools as people figured that the parents who sent their kids there had the space and means to take care of them. It didn’t happen every day or every month, but it was often enough that it was a normal occurrence.
Well, I never met an animal I didn’t love or didn’t want to help. And every time someone abandoned a dog at my school, it always seemed to find its way to me. I never complained.
Looking back at this, my family and I laugh about it now, but back then I never questioned it. I always felt in my heart that the dogs knew that I could help them so they came right to me. And help them I did.
I would always bring them home with me. I never had to put a leash on them or force them to come home with me. I’d just ask the dog to get on the bus with me and follow me home from the bus stop, or I walked all the way home with the dog by my side.
I never worried that the dog would suddenly run off. I never even thought about it. I just knew that the dog wanted to go home with me.
The dogs could have gone anywhere they wanted, but they never left my side. They knew I would take good care of them and keep them safe.
On one such occasion, I brought home a beautiful golden retriever. She was so sweet and I loved her from
