After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, she has had a successful professional career in Human Resources. But the dream of becoming a mom was always in the back of her mind. Because she was not able to conceive, she pursued adoption. Her life passion has always been helping others and embracing new ideas. With her caring nature, humor, and positive outlook she welcomed a child with special needs into her home. While tackling the daily challenges of motherhood, she encountered many obstacles along the way. Navigating this journey without a compass, she found herself having to continually advocate for her child through a broken system. Through many highs and lows over the years and many tears in between, this experience has made her a much stronger person. She now knows she can get through anything in life with the support of her "village".view less
