About this ebook

The saints, the sons and the daughters of He Who called them by the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ, are not hesitant to acknowledge that, for as long as they are still on earth, storms will come. With the wisdom they have received through the Word of God, they are developing strong anchors of hope, faith and courage to remain firm during times of hardship. They have invested in learning, knowing and understanding the tricks of staying calm. They have repeatedly told themselves that, when such a time forcefully enters their house and interrupts their world, they will understand that it is a season and nothing else. They will endure with the hope of reaching their finish line.

It is not possible to speak like these heirs of God if you are not prepared through the Word. And this is the reason that Brenda Rembuluwani has brought this teaching, with relevant scenarios and revelations, to prepare you. The time to sink, drown or float forever in the middle of your storms is over. Storms are not meant to kill or traumatise you, but to promote you to continue serving as the king or queen representing the kingdom of Jesus Christ on earth.

    About the author

    Introduction

What does the word storm mean to you? What are your storms? How are you handling them? Do you believe that you will come out alive? The word storm in the Bible could symbolise many things, including difficulties, tribulations, predicaments, barrenness, homelessness, addiction, sickness, harassment, sexual assault, physical and emotional abuse, divorce, slavery, demon possession and many other things that can cause catastrophes in your life.

These are situations that defeat your personal capacity to deal with them and leave you hopeless. The scary part of this is that there is no person sent on earth who will return to heaven without experiencing some of these kinds of challenges. This had been the reality to all the servants of God we know about in the Bible, including Jesus Christ Himself. That is why this book aims to enrich your knowledge about this topic, so that you may be prepared when your life reaches this unavoidable season.

The middle! This book will be relevant to people who are at different levels of their storms, but possibly most interesting to the group of people who are already in the middle of the storm. Why? Because when you are at the beginning of the storm, you might still have a chance to turn the situation around with little support from heaven. And, when you are at the end of the storm, you might be convinced that you have made it on your own strength.

Even though the two areas will be briefly discussed, this material will fully assist people who are in the middle of their storm. I believe that these people have seen their mistakes, tested every possible solution, and now have acknowledged that they have failed and need God to come to their rescue.

I certainly believe that their attention is no longer divided about whether there is another option to pull them out or there isn’t. They are surely convinced that all their attempts have failed. Obviously, if their plans for coming out were working, they would not be there in the first place.

For example, if sickness was one of their storms, at this stage they would have consulted with everyone they trusted to heal them. And if they were victims of human trafficking, they would have tried everything to escape. My point is, finding yourself in the middle of a storm confirms that you are stuck. You have surrendered and have given up your ways of trying to fix things. In other words, you are scared to even entertain the thought of moving from that central position in an attempt to save yourself because you believe that you will not make it on your own.

By the same token, the thought of staying where you are also scares you, because you know you will eventually die. And I believe that both situations are caused by the fear that paralysed your faith to see it possible to walk from where you are to the shore of your breakthrough. The fear that overwhelms you to believe that someone influence by the Spirit of God can walk there to help you out.

I have no doubt that your thought is occupied by the length of the distance from your point to the dry land and vice versa; and the horrible things that could happen if either scenario were to be attempted. For all these reasons, you have concluded that it is impossible for you to leave the place, or for someone to make it to where you are. Why? One of the many reasons could be that both distances equate to the same risk: neither of you can make it to your destination. This means that only the supernatural power or solution can save you.

Who is with you in the middle of the storm? During this season, it takes wisdom to remember who you have onboarded in your journey of life. The questions posed above have been confused or misinterpreted by many and, as a result, the wrong answer continues to be given. I will share my personal testimony to clarify this question. It is important that, as you are embarking on this journey with me, you understand this key question to provide the correct answer. Above all, you must be convinced that you are not alone.

My testimony goes like this: During corona, while taking care of one of our family members, evil spirits visited me at night and asked, Who are you? My answer in that vision was, I am the child of God. The question was asked several times and I gave the same answer, by the grace of the Lord. You will agree with me that naturally, when someone asks you the question, Who are you?, your quick answer would be your name and surname, and eventually your location.

But in this case, the Holy Spirit in me must have realised that the plan of these evil spirits with my name was for evil deeds, and hence He answered for me. With the question, Who is with you, I am not asking you to give me the name of the doctor you consulted, the name of the lawyer you paid to deal with your opponent, the name of the relatives and family members you have bribed to take your side, or the name of the manager you convinced to buy your story for the hearing you are going to. This is a spiritual question and needs a spiritual answer. Who is with you?

Does the person with you know that you are in trouble? The Bible narrates a story between Jesus and His disciples travelling across the sea. It says that one day, when they were in the middle of the sea, a storm broke and everyone was scared that they were going to die. Obviously, they started by doing all the tricks they knew until they realised that nothing was working.

When all their plans, skills and experience did not work, they remembered that there was someone with them who could do something about the situation. They then sent some disciples to go and wake Jesus up. These disciples went to Him and said, Master, Master, we’re going to drown! (Luke 8:24). Yes! He was with them but not aware of what was troubling them. He had all the powers to talk to the sea and the waves to calm them down but was not aware that the very same things had caused fear to His own.

He was above the sea and all that is in it, but not aware that He and His disciples were in danger because He was sleeping. His followers had no power because they showed no confidence in standing against the danger.

It is critical to check if the person with you knows what you are going through. Wake him up! Do anything to make him aware of your situation. Do not wait to die or until the situation is even worse. This book will be sharing the tips and tricks of how you can get this right.

It is just a season, nothing else. God created seasons in a circular form. They have been rotating since the beginning of the earth and will do so until He tells them otherwise. Likewise, the storms we are facing will come and go. They will never be in our lives, houses or countries forever.

I acknowledge that some storms do not pass for many, no matter how hard they try to hold onto anything so as to keep standing. As an example, the worldwide corona plague claimed the lives of many who were not willing to pass with it. It is true, and sometimes we can do little to change that. Remember King Hezekiah when he was attacked by a storm of sickness? Through this storm God’s plan was to take him to heaven, but God’s plan was objected to by Hezekiah’s prayer (Isaiah 38). And this is how the king survived the storm, instead of it passing with him. The lesson is that, unless planned otherwise by the living God, storms are meant to come and go.

Storms with heavenly objectives. For this book, we will focus on storms that are meant to come and pass by the grace of God. These are the storms that will come to an end, and we will continue to live for many years after they have passed. With this, we can aim to endure the season with the hope that the end of the season will come. We can trust God for allowing the seasons in our lives. We can commit to enduring for the sake of His name and His everlasting kingdom.

I guess that you have learned that, when God has decided to extend your life, He makes sure that the season comes to an end so you can enjoy what comes after it. Yes! You might still have the scars, but the storm will have passed. You might still be taking pills, still be divorced, but the season will have gone by. And, in this case, you will have one thing to do! Move on with life.

With this introduction, may the heavenly Father give you strength to read, learn and to spread His love through His revelations in this book.

In the Middle of the Storm?

Being in the middle of the storm can be petrifying. Depending on the type of storm you are faced with, negative or positive thoughts could overwhelm you. I believe that this is caused by the pressure in your brain to come up with ideas for dealing with the storm.

If your brain fails to produce fruitful ideas, this can cause you to panic, which can easily cause your hope to fade away. And, in this condition, you can see no possibilities for making it through alive, but perceive only death. You could lose strength to hold on and courage to remain calm. Or lose faith in yourself or resources around you and feel only discouragement. And we all know that without faith and courage it becomes challenging for someone to come out of a storm alive.
