E. A. Ekhibise

E.A. Ekhibise became born again at age nineteen while in college. He has been preaching the Gospel of Christ ever since. He currently serves as an Ordained Deacon in the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Arkansas.

    INTRODUCTION

The Bible clearly tells us that the Lord has songs and there is a kind of song to be sung in Zion. How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land? (Psalms 137:4, NKJV) Unfortunately, the devil has songs too. The book of Ecclesiastes 7:5 says, It is better for man to hear the rebuke of the wise than to hear the song of fools. Demonic music is also known as the Songs of Fools. In this earth life, you are either singing the Lord’s song or you are mouthing the songs of the devil. The songs you habitually sing give an insight into your true allegiance to God or to Satan.

Mortell Jordan on the power of music aired in Victory World Church in 2012 rightly explained that music is made up of lyrics, beats, and rhythm. These all wield spiritual influence and powers. I agree with him completely. In this book, I want to expound primarily on the lyrical aspects of music. Hence by my use of the term worldly or ungodly music in this book, I refer to inappropriate and offensive musical lyrics or wordings of a song.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God’s strategy for reaching man has not changed. He will always use the voice of a man to reach out to people. John the Baptist was the voice of one crying in the wilderness make ready the way of the Lord (John 1:23). God told Jeremiah Whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak (Jeremiah 1:7). God ordered Jonah to cry against Nineveh (Jonah.
