PREFACE

A few years ago, I sat under the ministry of my father, the Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah as he preached a sermon about the power of voices. This message was deeply thought-provoking, and his words resonated in my spirit for many years. Upon deeper studies, the Lord began to open me up to depths of truth concerning the power of voices in the Christian life. He taught me realities that opened me up further to the mystery behind voices. This mystery, I discovered, was far beyond simple communication. God showed me the protocols and powers that voices wield, and He taught me how His sons and daughters can harness the power of voices to fulfill the kingdom mandate.

The power of a voice is one that should not be downplayed. So potent is this power that throughout the Scriptures, we see how God, and even the adversary, made use of voices to establish patterns here on earth. By a voice, the whole earth came into existence, and by a voice, man was deceived and fell into chastisement. By means of a voice, the enemy was condemned and cast down from his ordained position – and by a voice, our Lord and Savior Jesus declared that He would die for the sins of the world. Our entire world revolves around the power of voices. As a matter of fact, you are where you are today because of the voices you have heeded over the course of time. One of the greatest secrets to prominence lies in the voice(s) that speaks over your life. Correspondingly, one of the greatest secrets to failure, doubt and disbelieve, lies in the power of the voice that circulates around an individual.

This book will open you up to the mystery of voices and will shift your paradigm vis-à-vis the spirit of communication. I implore you, dearly beloved, to flip through the pages thoughtfully, and to consciously simmer the truth which the Lord has purported for you to absorb. Chapter 1

DEMYSTIFYING VOICES

"And He said to them,

Pay attention to what you hear…

How do wars start? How do wars end? What accounts for the evolution of creation over the course of time? What is the driving factor of humanity’s continuous expanse? Voices. The power of a voice is not talked about enough. Through the medium of voices, we communicate, build, initiate, abort, regenerate, and are able to continue life’s processes. Voices cause the creation of empires, the elimination of kingdoms, the ordination of priesthoods, the establishment of marriages, and the institution of covenants. If the Church is to fulfill its end-time mandate, God’s children ought to set out with a mandate to unearth the distinctive assignment that voices exert in the agenda of Christ.

Interestingly enough, God made it such that voices are not exclusive to human experience. In His own wisdom, He allocated a voice to every living being outside of the human race. Just as human beings communicate with one another through voices, animals communicate with their voices. Dogs bark, cows moo, birds chirp, cats meow, and lions roar. In their own capacity, their voices communicate a unique sense of information in their realm. Whether human or otherwise, intelligible or not, it is through voices that the muscle of nature is built. Arguably then, we can deduce that voices curate the trajectory of existence and experience in the natural realm.

What about inanimate or lifeless things? Do they have voices? Absolutely. You see, voices are not only exclusive to human beings and animals. Every other entity that exists in this world has a voice. For instance, at the voice of thunder, we are able to determine the possibility of a downpour of rain. At the voice of a shofar, the Israelites were signaled to begin celebrations of the new moon and the Jubilee year. In our generation, lifeless things wield even more power in their voices. At the sound of a notification, we are quickened to check activity on our mobile phones. The texts, voicemails, calls and emails we receive, saddled with the movies, music and content we stream online on a daily basis are all controlled by voices. When we drive, our GPS systems determine our direction through voices. When we fly, although we may never see the pilots who fly us or even know what they look like, we are made aware of the status of our flight by their voices through a P.A system. More so, telecommunication, health, education, business, agriculture, and a million other industries run on the power of voices. This, beloved, is the more reason why every believer ought to seek to understand the mystery of voices, that we may unlock their full power, to which God has prearranged for this generation.

The Human Voice

HENRY LONGFELLOW once said, How wonderful is the human voice! It is indeed the organ of the soul. The intellect of man is enthroned visibly on his forehead and in his eye, and the heart of man is written on his countenance, but the soul, the soul reveals itself in the voice only.. The human being, as created by God, is essentially a tripartite being. We are made up of body, soul, and spirit. Thus, 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus. This depicts the three-dimensional nature of the human being. Why is the voice a crucial aspect of a human being?

Let us first attempt to understand the different dimensions of the human being. As aforementioned, the human being is made up of body, soul and spirit. The body is the housing unit of all three dimensions, and it gives the human corporeal mobility. The body is physical – that is, it is capable of sensory abilities. It also has five senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. Every cell in our bodies contains a detailed, one-of-a-kind genetic code carried by a long molecule called DNA, which instructs the cells on how to develop, function, grow, survive, and reproduce. Through the body, the human being is able to connect and interact with the outer world. The spirit on the other hand is the deepest part of a person.
