ABOUT QUENTIN TARANTINO
Filmmaker, actor, film critic, and author Quentin Jerome Tarantino (/taernti-no/; born March 27, 1963) is an American. His movies are known for their extensive allusions to popular culture and movie history, nonlinear plots, grim comedy, stylised violence, lengthy conversation, liberal use of foul language, cameos, and ensemble casts.
Tarantino was raised in Los Angeles and was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. With the 1992 release of Reservoir Dogs, a crime thriller partially financed by the sale of his screenplay True Romance (1993), he began his career as an independent filmmaker. Empire lauded Reservoir Dogs as the Greatest Independent Film of All Time.
His second movie, the crime comedy Pulp Fiction (1994), was a huge hit with viewers and critics, and it received several honors, including the Palme d'Or and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. In addition to writing the screenplay for From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), Tarantino also starred in Jackie Brown (1997), a film that pays homage to blaxploitation movies.
Kill Bill: Volume 1 was released by Tarantino in 2003, and Volume 2 followed in 2004. It was styled in the cinematic traditions of kung fu movies and Japanese martial arts. Following that, Tarantino co-directed the exploitation slasher Death Proof (2007) with Robert Rodriguez, which was released as a double feature under the collective name Grindhouse in the manner of 1970s grindhouse. His long-delayed Inglourious Basterds (2009) explored many war movie subgenres and investigated alternate history; it was followed by the spaghetti western Django Unchained (2012), which won him his second Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. The seventh movie by Tarantino, With a roadshow release, The Hateful Eight (2015) was a long-form revisionist
