Chapter 1 Fishsticks to Filet Mignon - Now That’s a Stimulus Package!

So you want to be a sweepstaker? You have just entered the wonderful world of sweepstakes. This is a realm where all things are possible, and most of them are probable. Pretty good odds, I’d say. Of course, this comes from someone who saw what was possible, implemented the knowledge I obtained and have seen the fruits of my labor.

I've been sweeping for twenty years and experienced the wonderful highs of seeing that Fed Ex man drive up my driveway, heard the delightful toots of the UPS truck, and listened to unknown voices on the phone say those glorious words, Congratulations, you’re a Winner!

A visit to my home is like visiting the set of The Price Is Right. I have all the finesse of those show girls, (now if I only had their looks), as I wave my arm towards the big screen TV, And this was courtesy of so and so. We sit down to dine on filet mignon, (provided by my $1300 Stockyards gift certificate) and barbecue on my $3500 grill (which was worth more than the vehicle I owned when I won the grill). After dinner, we enjoy our dessert on the chaise lounges supplied by another win. Ah, life is very, very good.

Before I began sweeping, I researched the hobby, visited conversation boards on the web and read many articles. I was a lurker for three months. At first I thought, how can this be possible? People really winning cars and money? The more I observed, the more I saw there definitely was something to it.

I had been sweeping for six months when I got my first big win. The Fed Ex truck pulled up and I signed for the envelope. Ripping it open, my husband shook his head in disbelief when I told him we had just won $5,000!

Eleven postcards, costing me $2.20 had net me a $5,000 win. That’s what I call a good return on my investment. Goodbye fishsticks, hello filet mignon. Talk about a stimulus package! A sweepstaker had been born.

This is not a Get Rich Quick scheme, or a 10-step program for prosperity. I will provide tips and tools you can use to become successful at sweepstaking, but they do require some work on your part.

Now that your eyes have been opened, see how many sweepstakes you can find. They are everywhere!

Chapter 2 Do You Have What it Takes for Sweepstaking?

Before you jump right into sweeping, there is some evaluating you should do. I stress this because people have a tendency to start things and not finish them. You might be thinking right now, she couldn’t possibly be talking about me. Let’s think about that for a moment.

I bet I could build the Golden Gate Bridge with all the steel from the unused workout equipment sitting around in millions of households in America. Gotcha! I won’t even get into the warped tennis rackets, rusty bicycles, unread novels and brand new cookbooks. In other words, we like to begin new projects, but we can’t keep up the momentum, or the interest.

Over the years I have spent countless hours showing people how to enter sweepstakes. The percentage of those who actually stick with it is very low. I’m not telling you these facts to discourage you in any way. In fact, I take these figures as
